Troy Baker ALMOST didn’t audition for the game. He revealed once that while he was waiting to audition he saw that the other actors auditioning looked more like the character and were the same age as Joel. He was just about to get up and leave before his name was called.

I think if that happens then they will be a family. Tess will become a mother figure to Ellie. But it will be more generic story so they let her die.

There should be “The Last of Us Prelude” where Tess navigates a chaotic world (at the start of the outbreak in 2013). I actually want to see how the military and healthcare system handled the outbreak before they both ultimately failed.

@@Eyes-Scream0213 See, I don’t know that Tess would’ve ever felt the same way about Ellie as Joel did…I feel like she wasn’t as nurturing. I also sometimes think about how she would’ve reacted to Joel’s choice to save Ellie. Tess really didn’t want her sacrifice to be for nothing…but it kinda was. She got infected because she pushed forward and had hope for a cure….

Joel would have probably never let Ellie get behind his wall he kept up for years and it wouldn't have been the game that it is.

i actually love the idea of ellie having to save joel from an infected tess. it would make the game very emotional, and it would add on to a lot on both ellie and joels story.

Original concept art shows zoo animals infected with the Cordyceps fungus. Also Ellie had a dog which travelled with them.

The dog would’ve been a cute addition! But I’m kinda glad animals don’t get infected in the game… Buuuut now that I think about it, it probably would make more sense that animals would also get infected since the fungus started in insects and jumped to humans. Idk why animals would be excluded from that. Maybe they’ll include it in TLOU3👀

In TLOU2 there is a Supernatural reference. You can find letters between two people called Jensen and Misha. I'm 90% certain it was confirmed to be a reference to SPN and the characters those actors play.

I’d like a prequel to see why and how Joel and Tommy parted ways.

I also saw an interview where Troy mentioned Joel teaching Ellie guitar, and Neil’s face was hilarious cuz Troy accidentally spoiled the start of TLOU2. I think he was just talking about the live show they did, and it was so subtle that no one noticed. But it was still funny😂

That's a "shambler" from part 2... They look similar but bloaters are bigger and act different. In the original game you couldn't melee kill a bloater but you can in part 2 for some reason

I just finished a runthrough of part one and found another naughty dog reference. when exploring the campus you can run across a geek's room that has plushies of nathan drake and jak and daxter.

There were actually some things I didn’t know mentioned in this video, which I wasn’t expecting! The hidden reload tv video still in Joel’s room especially!😮

I also love the truth-bomb that Joel received about velociraptors in the museum flashback. Plus, there’s an underrated story in some of the scattered notes about Gray, a WLF soldier who was forced to cooperate with a scar named Zachary. In the last note, Zachary gave Gray a new name, Emmett, saying that it means truth. To anyone curious, it does. It’s Hebrew for truth. There’s also the story about the clicker-killer named Boris, whose story is similar to what Joel went through, but much worse, since his friends betrayed him. There’s a part in Seattle that you walk into a cafeteria, and Ellie and Dina talk about Joel’s obsession with coffee. They both agreed it tastes like burnt s___. Most people’s favorite optional scene is in a music shop, when Ellie picks up a guitar and plays Take On Me. When playing as Abby, in the part where she sneaks out of the QZ with Manny’s help, you can find a bedroom with a note, that’s apparently a very erotic letter from one of the girls that Manny banged. You only have a few seconds to read it, before Manny yanks it off your hand. You can look up the full content if you want, but fair warning, it’s very TMI.

If you're a supernatural fan, you'd like the story near the con centre about a guy called Jensen who went to swap shifts with a guy called Misha, but he got ambushed by Scars (including Gray) and he wanted to apologise to Misha. Then if you go to the monorail, you find Misha's body.

Off topic but i remember Joel saying he’s been on both sides, both as a hunter and as a good guy. Would be been cool for him to have a flashback and play him as a hunter for a while before switching back to the present day.

One of the ideas for Abby's revenge was to have her be a survivor of one of Joel's ambushes. People still would have hated her, but it definitely confirms that history if they almost used it. That was actually one of my theories when I was trying to figure out her connection to him.

I'm kind of glad they didn't go with the only affecting females plot. Not that it couldn't be interesting. It is. Just that the Lisa series kind of already does last woman on Earth thing. Granted, Naughty Dog couldn't have known that at the time, since the two games were in development at the same time.

I wldve love the idea of the story of the turning comic book story come to life as an animated story since the idea is very interesting. It wldve aslo worked well with the TV series if Ellie grab a VCR version of the turning wldve been interesting but mirrored close to Joel and Ellie's relationship.

in humans no it doesn't but in insects and spiders yes it does, although they don't go into a zombie state, they just kinda wander around and die then the cordyceps sprout out of the insect/spider and release spores to infect more.
