I was not a fan of using children’s book pages in a journal, but I have to say, you have totally changed my mind. It just really depends on the books and you chose them perfectly.

So many great ideas. I can’t wait to apply them. Just brought home a box of books from second hand store. (My grandchildren love thrifting with me and have done so from a very young age, they are 8 now. One of them either could not say or understand the word second, so they called it the ‘hand, store. That is what I call second hand stores now, as in “let’s go to the hand store”. ❤

Another place to look for used books...The libraries in the towns here in Michigan have a huge sale once a year in the Fall. Lots to choose from...botanical, children, nature etc. Low prices. I love your ideas. TFS🤗

These are wonderful ideas. I just retired after 30 yrs of working with kids and one of my favorite things is children's book illustrations so I will definitely be making these!

Such a helpful video. I liked the way you showed how to use the orientation of the images in the different styles of pocket, etc. I often can't see past the whole page. Thank you!

Also, some schools or churches have book drives for fundraisers. I love these. I can't wait to see the journal they will go in!

I absolutely love this Barbara!!! I have a ton of children's books. A thrift store we had gone in had 20 books for $1.00 someone donated a bunch of books and they had no place to store them...many were vintage, so we made quite the haul!! I just adore them 🥰💕🥰

Hello Barbara, what a wonderful haul of children's books. I gave ALL my son's books to a Charity many years ago, I can cry when I think of it.☹☹ OH Well, hopefully someone else is enjoying them. Back in the day I gave card making classes (for 10 years, until I got ill) so I never used them in card making. I just love what you did with them and am now going to look out for some more children's books. 😂😂 Thank you so much for always being so willing in sharing with us and for your wonderful delivery, it is so soothing and calming. I buy books for my art and then I can’t bear to cut them up, I have to photocopy the images!😁

Such great ideas for children's books. Facebook Marketplace is a great resource for many items including books and craft supplies. Also, these wouldn't be vintage but Dollar store has children's books as well. I was watching videos and someone mentioned you can flatten the bumps from stitching paper by running your bone folder over them. And it was amazing the difference after. I thought u would share that tip since I've heard other crafter say they don't like that look.

What a great idea! I went right away to go searching in my pile of old books from when I was little. I found a lot of treasures! I’m so happy that I didn’t throw them away! I don’t have a junk journal, but I certainly will use them in my art journals! Thank you ! 🤩🤩🤩

These books are much more charming and the illustrations higher quality than anything I usually find at my local thrift stores. I usually just find stuff from the 2010s with cartoon characters on it.

Very delightful video. The vintage animal pieces for the ephemera are so adorable. Thanks for sharing. Wow, maybe I need to post my vintage books on Etsy etc... to sell. The two faves from your collection is that 'girl with bird' and 'donkey and bear' on front covers. Glad you used that squirrel in tree page. Yes 'weird and wonky' pages are perfect for my style for journal pages.
