I kissed a girl from Varazdin at the bus stop in Zagreb. She was in med school. Lovely girl. She got on her bus and went home for the summer and I went back to the war in Slavonia. Never saw her again. I think on her now and again, and wonder what it would look like if fate had been a just a bit different.

Ja živim u blizini Varaždina u općini Maruševec! Moj pokojni otac je Dalmatinac! A majka je od tut! I sve što si rekao mogu 100% potvrditi. Pogotovo ona zadnja dva. To nije samo tvoje osobno mišljenje. To je tako! Šteta kaj se njesmo nikdaj sreli kaj spili jednog skupa! Uživaj😊

I tend to agree with inviting culture. In Slavonia, for instance, it is also very customary that people invite you to their house and vice versa. They would then treat you with all kinds of food and drink. Quite surprisingly you would then also admire how Croats in Slavonia keep their house interiors clean. It is a very German, central European culture and I don't believe you would find cleaner or nicer house interior in Switzerland. On the islands it is all the opposite, although it also has its merits. Historically people were eating much more meagre food, for instance fish, Blitvu, Pomidore, Krastavce, figs, were drinking wine spent time outdoors on the seaside sunbathing or swimming.

Did you made a video or have experiance, since you are in varaždin with croatias "gorice" "vinogradi" our vineyards. But as hobby. Not like iločki podrumi. To have a "gorice" is a massive hobby in croatia, making vine for home use. You know gemišt, do you know about gorice, vincekovo martinje. Would like to see your take on it, since its so popular from međimurje, zagorje, podravina to slavonija. But ill say one more time, not like profesional vinemakers of ilok or đakovo, but like everiday people having gorice for weekend barbecue and home vine making, is tath special for croatia or does all central/eastern europe has that. Tnx

That is why I am looking to buy on the mainland - access to everything. The islands look lovely for a visit but practicality of living when you're used to having everything on hand plays a huge part.

Perfect observation. You just forgot to say Hvar is dead town during the winter, people are hibernating. They are used to have siesta and tourism happening from Jun - Sep. and there is nothing much happening there when tourists are gone. Most of islands/places are like that, except places with more than 20.000 ppl living.
