Been wondering why this isn't a thing with them. I mean, the torn and then tubed tire won't be as nice as a tire with an intact sidewall, but it's gotta be better than no tire.

Mate, i've learnt a lot traveling in South America and one of those things is to carry a few soldering sticks because you can use your batteries to weld. For less than 0.3 kgs you'd have a solution better than a heavy 2wd.

Should also carry cold vulcanising rubber that can get you out of trouble for all sorts of problems.... yeah i know you fancy guys have loads of spares but when traveling through countries that had never seen my model of van.... Araldite like product is another one, saved my ass big time up in the Los Andes, around the same time i learnt that my van didnt have any anti freeze in it!!

So far this is the best remote camp adventure you guys have done. After watching both parts of the video I felt as I was going through the whole trial with you all. Hats off to the camera crew who captured all those epic sceneries. Love to see Shaun's bush cooking episodes with annoyed Grahm LoL. Can't wait to see the next part. Love from Sri Lanka

I don't know why they're not stuffing unrepairable tyres with grass? Break the bead & open one side up and stuff the shit out of them until you can't fit another blade of grass - will drive like it's got 15psi in it.

Or just 'the Goodyear ute'. It's a weapon. And mostly stock. Those Ford Ranger Raptors are very very capable.

Must be part of their contract with Isuzu or something. That Raptor is probably the most capable stock dual cab and probably more capable than the DMax with the mods on it. But is way more expensive mind you.

Well done can’t wait to see part 3. Quick tip for tyre puncture problems easy for beadlocks wheels , bring inner tubes to fix the punctured tyres in case of emergency. I’ve broken 4 tyres on a trip in Africa with only 2 spares , it saved be in the middle of nowhere

Be great if you could build a Trooper in his memory such a legend, and pioneer, no mobile phones and he got out of a lot of tricky spots on his own legend, as you all are too. Cheers 👍👍👍

@@cannedgorilla1062 yeah. Maybe with huge reduction gear you could get away with using small/ lighter motors. Really only would need 2 of 3 mph for spots where your dead stuck, and the steepest of climbs
