Almost every KZreadr with a desk setup has a desk shelf to “get the monitor at a good height with additional storage” while I’m too short for such functionalities😂

Its really unnecessary imo plus most of these shelves or risers are super expensive for what they actually are. Im pretty sure if these youtubers doesn’t get it for free or worse sponsored by it they wouldn’t even consider it. Dont be swayed. Save your money!

@@WNCHSTR I managed to make my own, fraction of the cost and could make it the exact height needed, but agree that for most it might not be needed!

Lots of humour in this one eg "monitor arms elevate your setup" 😅. Keep up the good work!
Could you do a video purely about your cable management setup?
+1 for the keyboard!! i hate it when people think mechanical keyboards are just built for gaming, i honestly think people who work in corporate or have to deal with a lot of spreadsheets/documents would benefit greatly from a comfy typing experience. e.g. when i used my mum's cheap office keyboard my hands got tired way more easily while writing my papers
Great tips! Thank you!❤
I recently purchased an adjustable monitor arm and it has made a world of difference on my small desk. (and the piece on standing desks cracked me up!)

Sweet, it's such a good upgrade! And haha good, it made me laugh filming it (you should see the outtakes 🤣)
Thanks SO much for the idea of a desk shelf! It's such a simple addition, yet so many people overlook it (myself included). I'm getting a smaller one that's more of a monitor stand with some storage space underneath, but it's only $39.99 and looks great! Excited to get more usable space while still being able to accommodate my 8" deep Samsung M8 monitor stand. 🙌🏼
such awesome additions, gotta pick up a few myself, great video as always Tom! showing off the stuff you love in your office is so important!

Excellently presented! Loved this video
You're too underrated, man. You need way more recognition. Your setup has given me a lot of ideas for my desk.
Great video, Tom! 😊
I’ve used a sit stand desk soft about 18 months and love it. I don’t stand for a long time, but it really makes a difference. I also bought a stand mat. A real game changer, and supports your feet and ankles. Otherwise, my desk is pretty similar to yours, although I don’t have a shelf.
I actually fell very nice by watching your videos
So good thank you

i really love this video
Built my own monitor riser in the 1990s . I also built a riser for my HP3p. They are made from 1 by 12s that I bought in the 1980s.

Do you have a link to the iPad vesa mount that you added to your monitor arm? That intrigues me. I have mine on my Magic Keyboard next to my computer.
This is super helpful. I'm curious with the iPad vesa mount - do you have 2 mounts attached to your desk, or does the iPad stand connect to the main arm?
The SQUIRTLE keycap! OMG! 😍 I have a blue NuPhy Halo75 V2 on the way and that would look great on it.
Third Where did you get your ipad cases from. ?? Thanks
Also, it’s a great idea to make sure your office setup is safe especially for earthquakes and fires!
I picked up the Logitech lift a few days ago and I am really enjoying using it.

I tried that mouse but it ended up making my wrist hurt! A shame cause it looks so nice on the desk 😍
Definitely some great recommendations and amazing job breaking it down! One product though I can never get behind is the MX Master 3S in white. I recently picked it up and despite having fairly clean hands (over use of hand sanitizer), it seems to discolor the mouse quite a bit after a few days. Went back to the trackpad but I think we need a good competitor to the MX Master 3 in this space.
@ByteReview

Yep, mine does this too. I use some wet wipes on it and it gets rid of most of the dirt super quickly. But yeah, far from ideal
FYI: before buying a monitor arm. Check the thickness of your desk because your desk might not be thick enough to mount the arm.

Upgrading your keyboard is awesome, I built my own keyboard, and it sound exactly like I wanted to, and it just make me want to type the keyboard a lot more. It also makes you better or give you more fun by typing faster which makes you more efficient So I agree, great video

Agree with the standing desk wobbles. If you really want that flexibility, you’d have to buy proper office-version ones that have big stable legs that have support bars across or just settle with moving every now and then to stand without working. My desk in the office has that and does not wobble even at my height (5’2”)
Slick video as always...what backpack was that in the beginning please?

Why don’t you attach a magnetic whiteboard to the stand you use for your iPad? When your iPad is on the stand you can use the whiteboard right next to you to write your to do’s on.
Do the slouch chairs have headrests though? Find this helps a lot with posture.

It is unfortunate that so many of the sit stand desks that most folks get are so bad at the standing part. I’m in the US and here folks tend to get garbage desks from Fully and Uplift. Sitting down they are a tiny bit wobbly but at standing height they are terrible and folks think sit stand is a bad idea. You have to find a desk that works well at standing height. I have found deskhaus works well but again I am in the US so don’t think that helps a uk audience. Great video though.

Probably a better question to ask him is what the paint color/panotone number
I personally think that for creators that are on Mac, the Magic Trackpad 2 and the G502X are a MUCH better option that the MX Master. The MX Master, and other MX/basic Logi mice have very bad polling rates and accuracy. They're *fine* but getting a mouse that has a high polling rate and a gaming grade sensor is a much better option, in my opinion. It's just a very expensive option, so an MX Master will always be a good enough device to get by on.
@ByteReview

I need to check that mouse out, heard so many good things about
Step 1: Monitor shelf Step 2: Get the monitor off the shelf
Keychron m6 is a better mouse than mx master imo, more complete features, superior sensor and connectivity options, the lighter weight is a lot more comfy for long time use too! Not to mention it doesn't have the rubber aging issues as well as the unfixable staining issue on the white/ grey models (which was really turned me away from the mx master 3s) while being about half the price...The upsides for the mx masters are the more premium build quality, and probably some of the software features with the logi software, but it still doesn't justify the high price of the mx master for me...

I've been working full-time as a Software Engineer for over 14 years, working from home the last 5, and something I realized is that desks, and even external monitors, are incredibly overrated. Give me a fast laptop and I'll be flying. I'm equally efficient from the train, a park, a cafe, and office, while my coworkers are instantly and noticeably crippled being away from their multi-peripheral setups.
its so stupid to put the link in the comments instead of linking it to the fcking reel
