I recommend putting your feet in a cool bucket of water, especially for older people who can't get in pools or aren't too mobile etc. Also damp sheets hung across a window!

Have you tried watering it?

If you feed wild birds please consider a water source if you don't already and perhaps sleep downstairs if it's all a bit too much.

Would love to see The Weather Studio returning. What causes those small frontal features to form close to the middle of a large high pressure on Friday for the north of the U.K.? I tend to assume highs will ‘squash’ out risk of frontal rainfall. Many thanks.

Looks like the breakdown will happen relatively quickly really. Thunderstorms late Tuesday into Wednesday. Any fires probably will be extinguished in such showers.

I have an corsair h100i it's the gpu what gets hot cpu sits around 45 to 50c when gaming its my room temperature is 32c its even 22 to 25c in the winter I've got the radiator turned off bcus my pc is my heater

We won't sleep very well with the warm night do u guys agree

@@ViewByRay Interesting idea. I just flip to the cold side of the pillow once in awhile if I can't sleep! If the heat gets worse I'm just going to sleep in the hammock in the garden lol.

Really.... Its going to be hot. Labeling it extreme is just way out of proportion. I'm sure people know if it's hot you go cool down. People aren't that stupid are they..

@@readmore7180 you say the word extreme shouldn't be used? Look at what language the Met Office used. The title says extreme and its a "extreme" heat warning. If the Met Office is using that language to describe the incoming heatwave a government organisation. I believe them.

@@WeatherFollower and you trust the government.. ....it's instilling unneeded fear into people. Countries that do get hot on a regular basis are laughing ... One day of hotter than normal weather isn't extreme. 40° for a week and they may have a point.. We are becoming a nanny state. And people that are being scared with the language being used need to take a long hard look at themselves imo. Do people really not know what they need to do to stay cool...it's embarrassing

Great I hate hot weather surly tohot for schools stay open valuable children just moved my food delivered because off it stock up did I am valuable adult I understand children has to take care who has skin problems like I sun makes u more ill plus my doctor told me avoid heat waves glad my aircons fans thought this summer was supposed to be nomule british summer this isn't sad global warming again. I has prosias airthsis heat waves upset it hanse not alloud out in it I am bored 😐 I has niece newphews worried about them going to school surly government should glass it to hot shurt schools 🏫.

Put your wrists under a cold tap ....2 minutes and it cools your whole body down (I worked in a KFC and it stops you passing out in summer with all the ovens and fryers)

I want to see 40°c not have 40°c.

Looking forward to these hot sunny days 😁☀️ I just hope not to many people are effected by it

Why does my met office app tell me we’re going to get rain on Tuesday in cornwall

This is rather concerning. I am due to travel to the Midlands on Saturday /Sunday. I am not sure if I can cope with the heat.

This forecaster is ignorant about the effect of house insulation. Highly insulated houses keep cool in summer AND warm in winter, just like a thermos flask will keep cool things cool & hot things hot. My Edwardian terraced house with 2 ft thick stone walls is cool in summer & warm in winter.

This heat is nothing. I’ve been sitting out in the sun for an hour and feel absolutely fine and will do on Monday and Tuesday too 😂👍🏼.

At night time get a wet towel and lay it across the back of your neck!! Honestly makes a huge difference.

I wonder if anyone has thought that generating all this fear because of a couple of days of un English weather may have a negative effect on the vulnerable groups that it is designed to help?
