We don't need 30, 35, 40c humid heat.. 20c with blue sunny skies will do just fine tyvm

Alex Deacon is the best weatherman by a country mile. His presentation is always relaxed, informative and compared to years ago unnervingly accurate. A pay rise would not go amiss Met Office, and no we’re not related.

Alex Deakin is, IMO, the best presenter on YT/Met Office. Thank you, I look forward to your vlogs on YT! You keep it Professional, not much 'waffle' (compared to other presenters). Alex sounds authentic and 'researched'. Just sharing my gratitude. Go well.

Er, he's just a talking head yapping on about the weather, which the forecasts nearly always get wrong once they start looking beyond 48 hours out.
To hot for me 20 to 22 degrees is just nice
Heat? Peaked at 14° yesterday,15° today and rain both days. Hi from the Highlands.

I don't mind a hot spell as long as there's no thunderstorms at the end of it like this time around. But looking like staying cool for foreseeable so shouldn't be too bad.
Very many thanks Alex. Temperatures like today’s are just that little bit too hot 🥵, so it won’t worry me when it’s cooler again, as long as it knows how far too go, and not too wet for too long! Not that I’m asking too much. Thanks Alex, the Met too. Take care everyone 😊

And 10 degrees lower - luckily where I am, that's still 20. I'll take it. Some rain, preferably overnight, early morning about 3am and 10 to 15mm would be nice. 😆 Keeping a close eye on rainfall in the South, after a sodden 5 or 6 months leading up to summer, we're now getting into week 3 with no significant rain. Looks like week 3 will close and we'll get some though - fingers crossed! Never thought I'd say that, after the amount of rain we've seen.

I'm with you on the 20c - perfect imo 😊 With you also on the rain - I've only recorded 11mm of rain for June in my corner of the SW. The grass is going brown and the soil (clay) is cracking. Some difference from the last few months! I hope we get some soon, but to your schedule 😁
Love these in-depth forecasts. Thanks so much for bringing us this information and helping us to learn about weather and weather forecasting. Brilliant.
I haven't watched a weather forecast for maybe 15 years or more. I quite enjoyed this presentation.

Really.? That must be the discovery of 2024.! We are so lucky in this country that there is an approximate six week lag between length of day and hottest and coldest weather on average and in fact the northern hemisphere is favoured over the southern because we are further from the sun and therefore moving more slowly through space. Sunrise and sunset is complicated and mid-day GMT only coincides with solar mid-day on four occasions a year as I understand it. But basically in our summer there is no noticeable difference in the length of day subject to the weather from about the beginning of June to the middle of July. It is a completely different ball game around the winter solstice in comparison.
Well summer has gone and autumn now begins
Thanks a bunch, Alex. I’m only too familiar with flabby areas without being reminded on my pressure chart. Apart from that, great job today.
Miss my homeland. Here in Oz they revel in 40+ and 90% humidity. Still the beaches are great. Well done Alex, factual as far as any weatherman can be

Thank you Alex, perhaps in one of the deep dives you or a colleague could do an explainer of a ‘flabby low’? It’s a term I’m unfamiliar with.

As chef in kitchen without windows yes please
As someone who lived in Ireland , I am very interested in the differences in climate there Question - does anyone know what a 'soft day ' is- an incredibly fine murky drizzle and so warm. Unique! Please, please please, consider extending coverage to tge whoke of the Emerald Isle. It wohld really broaden our experience and understanding. It seems petty not to. ( after all, the Irish did give the vital weather report prior to D-Day, as recently highlighted i tgex80th anniversary.
I like these forecasts but prefer it when you put the actual estimated temperatures and not just the 'compared to average' chart. Honestly, I don't know what the average is supposed to be. Finding out the actual temperature is kind of why I watch the forecast.
Thanks v interesting

I'm sick of this stupid hot weather and try to stay indoors at this time of year. Nothing but dust, itchy eyes from the pollen, sunburn, biting insects, breathing difficulties, nausea and sleepless nights

It's raining and cold, I can't wait for it to be warm! It's too hot I can't wait for it to be cooler and rain! And repeat. 🌞

Can't understand the Met Office's obsessive positivity over hot weather. It's not the comfortable experience it once was. Let's start pushing it as the negative it actually is.
