Educated guess: lowing rad resistance is for the Ghoulish perk. It's been said that ghouls don't take rad damage by default. As such they can't use the classic perk that is their own namesake. So you'd need to lower your rad resistance in order for Ghoulish to function.

My guess for the lower rad resistance is that rads work as health regen for gouls and would allow you regen more health to rad exposure with this perk bc its giving you more rads when exposed to the same rad source as if without the skill

@@God_0f_Death With ghouls there might be new perks or legendary effects that are affected by rad resistance. As we have limited information right now, most things are speculations. Rad resistance reduction... As in: Your Rad healing speed will be increased (This is what I believe it means _🤔_ )
@M.LarsJakubkeАй бұрын
Assuming that playable Ghouls are immune to radiation (given that's what they seem to be in lore), I'd assume the perk to reduce your radiation resistance is to allow you to gain rads at all..which is kinda useful for bloodied, for rolling the mutation gacha, and probably for a couple other perks. Otherwise ghouls would be forced to always have a full health build, or rather be heavily inconvenienced if they go for one. But then again, maybe that's one way to balance ghouls by locking them out of these builds as otherwise there might be no reason to ever play a non-ghoul in terms of gameplay.

So just looking at the art and names, here's what I think those perks will be Radioactive Strength looks like it adds radiation damage to unarmed attacks Radiation Power might be a renewal of the old radiation aura mutation Brick Wall has the VaultGhoul blending in to the wall, so it's either a bonus to sneak when stationary or a new version of Rooted Glowing Gut could get you extra healing from irradiated foods, but it may also be a synergy perk that increases the rads from food similar to rad worms Powerful Presence either has a chance of inflicting fear or is a classic MMO skill that increases aggro gain (making enemies more likely to target you instead of others) Bone Shatterer should be the crippling perk for melee builds
@zoriononlineАй бұрын
Lorewize typically radheals the ghouls. Not to be said that it may also lead them to become feral faster though. Take an example with the glowing one in Fo3, FNV and Fo4 where they would have a radiating aura and or also a "pulse" attack, which would all heal the ghouls near them The pulse in fo4 would even revive the fallen ghouls. My guess is that its a perk that is beneficial for ghouls when they have lots of armor, so thus it reduce the rad resistance, which is good for them. Brickwall is a perk in FNV atleast, there it works that you wont be knocked down(a mechanics that we dont see much in Fo76 afaik). In FNV it was somewhat good, as some melee assaults could knock you down on the ground(which was specially deadly when the attacker was a deathclaw) Some legion and NCR units I think(but def legion) had some melee knockdown effect. Could be that they are retro-active adding some new effects? More likely is that it just add abit more damage resistance. Powerful presence, well you had in FNV "terrifying presence" which would you know do just what you say - make enemies flee/cover in fear. And while they where doing that you could get in some good hits.
@WoWBeaterАй бұрын
Ghouls will for sure have a rad level where they'll lose some stats for being feral
@ElectricheadPt1Ай бұрын
Radiation heals ghouls, so you would want lower resistance to them.
@matty101yttamАй бұрын
I'd hazard a guess there's a lot of merging the rads with stuff for ghouls. Glowing gut for instance if i was developing it would add any rads from food to the food stat as well. I'd also imagine ghouls having a balance of radiation and health so they'd almost be a half bloodied build, where they have a default say 50% rads and rads generate slowly to 50% without help but while at 50% or more generate health. So yeah bloody build but with a built in system that automatically tries to be in a range rather than jumping through hoops after dying trying to get back the right health/rad ratio.
@pilidod
Ай бұрын
Devs have stated that ghouls can't actually run Bloodied (or at least, they don't take radiation damage). I don't think you'll take rad damage at all, meaning you'd be a full health build, but I'm assuming being in irradiated areas will trigger certain ghoul-exclusive perks.
@matty101yttam
Ай бұрын
@@pilidod I wasn't saying it would be a bloodied build...just LIKE one where your running 50/50 rads/health by default and that's where it tries to stay via some auto regen. So then it wouldn't technically be rad "damage" since its just the default rad portion of a ghouls health bar. Then "radiation power" then could speed up health regen with full rads and rad regen with full health. With that setup i'd imagine it would favour vanguards armour setup since your health would be constantly trying to be full.
@SamsonOfOld-GamingАй бұрын
also they need to increase the ammount of normal perks we can have, honestly there never should have been a limit to begin with. them doing that destroyed the cannon playstyle

@anarchyantz1564Ай бұрын
Radioactive Strength is likely going to be like Radicool which means the higher your rads, the more strength you get. Dropping your rad resistance is likely because being a Ghoul, the more rads you soak up, the more it heals you and the more strength you have.
@KiaTallon2Ай бұрын
I feel like a lot of the unexplained perks are going to be related to an Unarmed Ghoul build; Unarmed does radiation + *damage Unarmed cripples + *damage While radiated and in a team you increase *damage + resistance to damage. Also from a comment I read, you might heal from radiation (while also taking radiation).
@gtappy1425Ай бұрын

I think when you play ad a ghoul you will have to start a completely new character and you will have access to completely new lore and the perks themselves will essentially replace some of the old perk cards to better suit the ghoul. @ravenwolf8632Ай бұрын
The cost of a couple of these perk cards is already going to be wow, 6 points for United Ordeal and impossible to share even under the current system. and only +1 to all SPECIALs instead of +1 per ghoul, not sure that would be worth that cost. Thick skin will have some usefulness, though for 5 points that's a hefty cost, but if it's damage reduction it's still a big deal. Breath it In, might be an area debuff to enemies that makes them lose 50 rad resistance... but that doesn't sound like much. Ghouls are immune to rads and heal from them so them losing resistance seems kind of pointless. Arms of Steel would actually be quite powerful for non-VATS users. It will reduce weapon spread and of course reduced recoil is always a plus. Glowing Gut... most likely the ghoul heals more from ingesting radioactive sources, or even gets more hunger/thirst restored by eating radioactive stuff. Brick wall might reduce or even prevent staggering. Powerful Presence might prevent certain enemies from attacking you like super mutants and ferals. Radiation Power maybe a ghoul character acts like a glowing one and healing those around them when they take radiation? Radioactive Strength and Bone Shatterer has me stumped but likely one lets you deliver radiation damage with melee attacks and the other maybe lets you cripple with melee attacks. One thing I am noting is how these cards appear to function, and since we already know ghouls won't be able to do bloodied builds, at least in the traditional full rad bar way, makes me wonder if they won't be able to use mutations either. It will be interesting to find out since a few of these perks are very similar to mutations.

I've been hoping they would improve non vats game play but locking it behind a ghoul character sucks. I'm sure people that like the show, also like vats and collecting plushies for their camps. Ghoul gameplay should be geared towards these people.
Educated guess: lowing rad resistance is for the Ghoulish perk. It's been said that ghouls don't take rad damage by default. As such they can't use the classic perk that is their own namesake. So you'd need to lower your rad resistance in order for Ghoulish to function.

im assuming that brick wall has something to do with not getting staggered as much
The card "breath it in" is good because if your using "ghoulish" you can heal more by dropping rad resistance. There may be additional things for the playable ghoul thing though.
6 skill points for +1 special? No. 5 skill points for 10% damage resist? Not on a heavy gun build. Breath it in. Absolutely sick of grammatical errors in AAA games. Breath and breathe are not the same
Rad resistance reduction... As in: Your Rad healing speed will be increased (This is what I believe it means _🤔_ )

@@davidgoodman2813 I’m guessing limited overlap
This IS AWESOME! Hopefully this opens the Windows for more perk cards overall. We badly need more cards for a non vats based ranged builds. Like for example. Commando weapons now do 20% more damage when fired while aiming and not using vats. Or a card that lets crits use ap outside of vats
1:43 Ghouls don’t necessarily take rad damage, instead healing from rads. So this would mean you could heal faster from radiation exposure.
Radioactive Strength: your un armed attacks scale with the radiation you have. Radiation power: adding radiation dmg to your attacks equal to the radiation you have. Brick wall: Damage mitigation the higher your rads are. Just my guesses
Think about the recoil on the railway rifle the arms of steel may be handy to help with the automatic recoil. If that's the case I might use one as a ghoul.
Radiation arms: you deal radioactive damage with your fist Has been confirmed that ghouls wont take rads, so not bloodied builds And the more rads you "take", ypu get the benefit of recovering hp without taking the actual rads, so reducing rad res increase the healing rate
I think arms of Steel will work with everything, as in the primal idea Ghouls are non powerarmor users (because of the rads mechanics) and this will basically The Ghouls alternativ for stabilized
Maybe ghouls heal when taking rads? Than the breath in card is useful
Bone Shatter probaly gives unarmed attack more limb crippling power. If you look closely to the pip boy. You see his arm muscle so its definitely something for unarmed of melee users not ranged. Brick wall most likely give damage reduction while standing still or it adds balistic/energy's resistance while standing still.
Powerful presence is likely an intimidation like perk. Hopefully this would make it to where low level enemies don’t attack you like how a few other games approach this but, with level scaling enemies, this is probably not the case
i could be wrong but, i think Ghouls heal from rads so having a lower resistance means more passive healing from rad emitting sources
4:15 this seems a lot like the terrifying presence perk from NV and a lot more combat oriented
Well ghouls in lore have max rad resist to the pint they take zero radiation damage. So perhaps becoming a ghoul will give natural radiation resistance. And the "breathe it in" perk will be geared to low health builds. Personally i dont use Vats unless i absolutely have to.
Rad resistance reduction perk is 100% because ghouls will be rad immune. So if you want low health build it will be a must
I love the Artwork is on these! Somehow Ghouls are my favorite for all now after Cooper Howard ^^
The Lower rad resist could be a means to allow you to do a bloodied Build despite having full rad resistance. Maybe, Maybe Not.
Wow the crads are glowing control or going feral at least it make the Wasteland Survival Guide makes sense
Some of those cards are rather expensive as 6 or 5 is quite a lot Rads resistance reduction will likely be to improve healing from environment, since more rads should heal you more With rad fist I guess will be giving you rads to unarmed attacks Glowing guts seem to get you more rads from food or some lasting healing from eaten rads
I am definitely interested in playing a ghoul. I am keeping my 2nd alt on the backburner (lvl 80ish, not done with main quest) mainly because i want to see the changes to the quests by being a ghoul.
I have a feeling there's gonna be a new meter for the Google. Basically, the more radiation you take in the stronger you become, It makes sense in my opinion like dad. Because you can clearly see the difference between a normal goal and a charged goal. They are different strings and speed. So that's what I think. What's going on with the breathe and in ability it perk cars
I have a feeling being a ghoul will benefit being a bloody build. That plus one for the stats not the greatest for the number of perk points in charisma, but every point in intellect I’ll take.
I have a feeling the powerful presence. It's gonna basically be either a luck or charisma. Perk, and it's gonna cause a fear factor like the blue devil and the wind. To go colossus. Or it would probably be in agility?
Arms of steel with the nerf to railroad rifle sounds like a nice combo for my full life PA railway build. Some weapons can be great with arms of steel. Also great with cold shoulder, the recoil is nuts.
Great video as always bro im looking forward to all this new content, everything from the new character to the new building stuff, also heard they might bring in animal companion like dogmeat or cat I guess maybe even a bird also. Everything is looking so amazing. Keep up the awesome work you do.
Rads resistance reduced sounds to me like it opens up bloodied builds for ghoul players.
Being a ghoul sounds cool BUT I wonder if they will also bring the idea of being a super mutant I know in the original concept art
Would be cool if as a ghoul u have to stay radiated. So like you have something thats consistantly heal your radiation a little bit and you have to stay high radiated for buffs etc.

@@MrWestTek that sounds broken honestly
Ghouls will for sure have a rad level where they'll lose some stats for being feral
Radiation heals ghouls, so you would want lower resistance to them.

Devs have stated that ghouls can't actually run Bloodied (or at least, they don't take radiation damage). I don't think you'll take rad damage at all, meaning you'd be a full health build, but I'm assuming being in irradiated areas will trigger certain ghoul-exclusive perks.
@matty101yttam
With that setup i'd imagine it would favour vanguards armour setup since your health would be constantly trying to be full.
also they need to increase the ammount of normal perks we can have, honestly there never should have been a limit to begin with. them doing that destroyed the cannon playstyle
Maybe when you become a ghoul you gain access to the perk cards, and some normal ones become unusable or have no effect.
Radioactive Strength is likely going to be like Radicool which means the higher your rads, the more strength you get. Dropping your rad resistance is likely because being a Ghoul, the more rads you soak up, the more it heals you and the more strength you have.
What if they bring in different stages of ghoulification, like weak, to withered to gangrenous, to glowing ones on the choice of rads and how you would mutate because of them.
Rad power is probably like nerd rage for ghouls based on rads instead of health
The perk to allow radiation damage could just be for bloodied builds
I think when you play ad a ghoul you will have to start a completely new character and you will have access to completely new lore and the perks themselves will essentially replace some of the old perk cards to better suit the ghoul. I think rather than having your typical health bar you will need to have your rads as high as you can and THIS will be your health bar, essentially reversing how low health builds work?

I like the idea of United Ordeal, but only a +1 to SPECIAL stats isn’t much. This may just be me not fully knowing what the FULL Ghoul loadout will look like, but since you can’t play Bloodied, they could adjust it to give you some of the bonuses. I think keeping the “On a team with a Ghoul is great, but make it +2 or +3 if you’re ALSO wearing a matching set of armor. Radiation power just seems like it's gonna give the player. A beauty dial allows them to spell all the radiation out in a massive aura. Basically, you like how the fearability on some creatures and boss characters bunsette of causing you to run away. It causes a lot of radiation
And Radiation Power could be a buff when we are being affected by radiation from the ambient, barrels of radioactive waste, specifics enemies like the bat queen or another ghoul (I think probably ghouls won't attack us once we are ghoul).
Ghouls are inmune to rads, so you will prolly need that to make a bloodied ghoul build.
A LOT of these perk cards have overlap with existing cards... this makes me think Ghouls will have an entirely different perk system (too early to say for sure though)
I’m leveling a new character in 76 to play as a ghoul as we speak lol it’s gonna be Rad ☢️ hehe
radiation power might reflect some damage to the enemy but as rad damages, maybe the other are quite self explanatory
Ghouls are already irradiated. Those cards make me think you will need to lower your resist to play as bloodied.
Looks ok but Ghouls aren't known for being tanks really, so ghoul builds shouldn't be restricted to "hits harder gives rads" bc most characters are mutant freaks as it is and can already do stuff like that. Many of these cards look designed for Super Mutants lol
I believe brick wall will just be just armor. Or like a base build thing involving more nucular defenses
Just hoping we get another character unlocked, with which to start a ghoul character.
Do you think they will let us be glowing ghouls like the lost? I’m just curious on customization
Cant wait to use toxic goo as a healing item!
There's also the likelihood that Ghouls won't be able to use all of the regular perk cards.
I wonder how they will do the whole ghoul thing, whether it will be permanent or will you be able to change between being a ghoul and not being a ghoul.
Ghouls are supposed to be healed by radiation... So, a card that reduces your rad resistance heals a ghoul.

They need to buff revolvers when they release ghoul stuff😮
Wanna play as a goul but dont want to start all over again
Ghouls heal from rads the lower the resistance the more the damage the more the healing from rads
im excited for ghoul too, not liking the cost of those cards though, if going ghoul is going to butcher my build too bad i might skip out on it which would be unfortunate
I’m assuming breath it in is going to possibly be the ghouls dream of running bloodied
