I just want to comment on one thing. Using an umbrella on a sunny day shouldn't immediately be a suspicious thing. I am a very fair skinned person who burns even when using sunscreen. I regularly use an umbrella when I'm going to be in the sun for long periods of time.

I don't for one minute believe the explanation given by Louis Steven Witt, who claimed to be the "umbrella man," that he was simply using his umbrella to heckle JFK because of his alleged "appeasement policies" towards the Communist countries (the umbrella was supposed to represent British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, who often carried an umbrella with him, and who became notorious for his own appeasement of Adolf Hitler, which many blame for the beginning of World War Two; Kennedy's father, Joseph Kennedy, also supported Chamberlain's policies). If one were to examine the photos of Mr. Umbrella Man's actions, both at the time when the assassin's bullets struck President Kennedy and the few seconds afterwards, one would see U.M. (I'll call him that for convenience sake) calmly putting down his umbrella, then sitting down on the sidewalk talking with another man, as if nothing had happened! Does that make any sense? Also, when Mr Witt testified before the Senate committee investigating the conspiracy theories connected with the Kennedy assassination, he said that he didn't know about the president being shot until a little while later, when a friend told him. That makes no sense at all! How could he NOT know about the shooting of JFK when HE WAS STANDING ON THE SIDEWALK WATCHING EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED, along with the other spectators? I think Witt just made up his entire story because he was in on the conspiracy against the president, and that the other guy he was talking to while sitting on the sidewalk was involved too, and he, Witt, was just covering up. And that Senate committee was dumb enough to fall for that? HOW STUPID CAN YOU GET?

I grew up in a town not far from where Eric Rudolph was found. There were rumors that a few of the locals were actually helping him hide. I often use an umbrella on a sunny day. After all, it's a parasol too. Umbrella literally means "little shade," and you need all the shade you can get in The Swamp aka Florida.
@michaelpalmieri7335
9 ай бұрын
In the late 19th Century, it was common for women to carry parasols (small paper umbrellas) with them to shield themselves from the sun, not just to prevent getting sunburns, but mostly to maintain their milk-white skin, which, in those days, was considered the epitome of feminine beauty. (This is in contrast to today, where it's SUN-TANNED SKINNED women who are regarded as being the most beautiful.) Back then, women would sometimes go to extreme lengths to preserve their pale complexions, even to the point of putting arsenic on their faces. Unfortunately, arsenic is poisonous, and many women died from applying it to their skin, hence the expression "drop dead gorgeous"!

I remember a book full of circumstantial evidence being written on the case pointing the finger not at a doctor but a relatively famous period artist who was in the cities where all of the murders happened when they happened. The art world tried to debunk it by saying he wasn't even though they have records that he was. I think, even if we do stumble upon the correct name, it's been so long we won't ever come to a consensus.

Yeah, at this point there is zero chance of Jack the Ripper being identified. Even with modern technology, there's no surviving evidence that can be processed. And even if we discovered some confession somewhere, crazy people confess to murders they didn't commit all the time. Especially with a high profile case like that, I guarantee there are dozens of men who "confessed" at some point. In a way, I'm almost glad it will remain a mystery. Because the truth is going to be disappointing. It wasn't some High Street surgeon prowling the alleys at night with a scalpel and a top hat. It wasn't a Prince gone mad. It was just a run of the mill psycho. He was probably poor himself, dirty, dimwitted, and a failure at pretty much everything. Think of Jeffrey Dahmer, and dress him like a 19th century coalminer. That's your guy. The murders stopped because he ended up in a debtor's prison or got drunk and drowned in a canal. The banality of horror, the horror of banality.

And this was using a computer that was only reconstructing the memo looking for the best possible letter match, and it pretty much is as conclusive 20 years ago that it would be today with more sophisticated A.I. technology. The Roswell crash was not a "balloon". The US Army doesnot send out a troop carrier with at least 12 actual troops in it to collect a weather balloon, nor do ehty threaten or coerce witnesses to the crash into saying anything else about it. One of the people who found it said most of the material was hard metal, NOT mylar (weather balloons are not made of mylar anyway) and the metal was almost weightless. Oh, you say it was titanium? Well sure, titanium is light, but it's not weightless, especially in pieces that large. So yeah, there's that. Does this video present any facts or is it just more clickbait?
