At 47:47, the tarantula is absolutely 100% perfect the way it hits the scorpion in the eyes with its silk. This silk is said to be five times stronger than steel. It must have blurred the vision of the scorpion or blinded the scorpion when this happened. That would give the tarantula a big advantage.

I was about to make the same comment. Originally there were 3, and it killed 4 total. At one point there were at least 7. Centipede, I think, was the true winner of that battle, even though the wasps eventually got it.

@@jimbarbwe1985 I don't have anything specific related to arachnids or insects but in the past years we have discovered a lot of animal behaviors that point towards intelligence in fish, cephalopods, birds and even insects. Stress is something that evolved in order to let us know that something is not right. You can boil it down to "fear". If these animals didn't know what fear was, they wouldn't be able to run away from dangers, hence, wouldn't be able to survive. So, I tend to believe that most animals feel stress. It would be foolish for us to believe that insects are not capable of feeling stress or pain, just because they are so different. They are alive and pain is what tells living creatures something is wrong and helps keep them alive. Even if their "pain" is not how we feel it, it is there. (I will get back to you with some properly backed research ASAP) Example: lobsters are in the process of being recognized as "sentient" in the UK, thus making it illegal to boil them alive. Based on research of 300 scientific studies.

I felt like the first clip of the Mantis and Wasp/Bee, whatever it is. Did want to fight, but they kept getting tangled with each other and have no choice.

The hornet mantis fight was pretty even the whole time, the mantis was eating its legs and the hornet was stinging it

Mantids have to be the most ruthless predators in the animal kingdom, even other animals that eat their prey alive will incapacitate it first. The Mantid just starts eating that mofo at the same time as fighting it and defending from it.

That spider was smart, in the beginning of the fight it pinned the scorpions tail down so it couldn’t sting it.

My favorite insects were those baby birds 🤣 that yellow bird tho has no chill while the black one was like dining at a 5 star restaurant hahaha

I saw the exact same thing (Yellowjacket Wasp) only it caught a big fat and pregnant Housefly. I heard this crazy buzzing go past my head. Turning to see this wasp land on top of our burn barrel lid (cold) It first bit off the legs, wings, head then ate everything and left the abdomen behind on the drum lid along with the bit off everything else. I noticed that the abdomen was moving. I looked closer to see a few maggots come crawling out the chewed open area. I just about hurled.

@@WhoIsMillio The reason the hornet didn’t sting the Mantis is because it didn’t know to sting the dorsal side (it’s rear end) likely that the hornet was in captivity or something like that, referencing a statement by Chris Looney he said: - “While it is certainly possible that a mantis could kill an Asian giant hornet in the field, it is also likely that the hornet would kill the mantis. In fact, praying mantises are a well-documented food source for Asian giant hornets in their native range," so i’d say that this hornet just has no experience hunting mantises.

The centipede is smart to use it’s backside as a decoy. Looks like the uploader knew to add more of the hornets, because they have done this before and know that the centipede will take many of them out. Crabs seem to detach their limbs.

I have a feeling a Purple Thai Devil Crab would decimate the scorpion. Semi-Aquatic with huge crusher and ripper claws and an extremely dense shell. My girls can crush fully grown apple snails clean open and have fought off my western painted turtles on more than one occasion due to territorial disputes with basking areas on land.
