So, me and some friends have had a running joke for years called "Yoshi-ing", which is our slang for a bleeding nose. We call it that because a certain friend always started having a bleeding nose while playing Yoshi on Mario Kart. Needless to day, the Yoshi's Safari sprite leak has changed our lives.

Fundoshi-kun's weird naked man intro screen is likely the namesake for the program... as it is a man wearing a fundoshi (japanese style underwear)... -kun is a name honorific that is generally applied to male colleagues (male friends in school, coworkers, or women with whom you have a very purely professional working peer or mentor relationship) Thus, fundoshi-kun is roughly translated 'underwear dude.'

I found something weird in the new Tony Hawk 1+2 on Ps4... Downtown map of the 1st game there are some barriers that drop out of the sky! The moment I spawn, I turn around and take the ramp up to the street. Directly in front of me to the right side 3 construction barriers fall from the sky and break apart.

This still was the most amazing leak and I'm glad it happened

The weird naked guy in Fundoshi-kun 3D Tool is the aforementioned Fundoshi-kun. a fundoshi is a type of traditional Japanese underwear consisting of a single long strip of fabric twisted and wrapped around the waist and between the legs. The word is often translated as loincloth. Also, the thing that REALLY set off the Triforce rumor for Ocarina of Time was the fact that an early trailer showed Link opening a chest and getting it.

@@heineken9030 It's traditional as in that's what was typically worn prior to westernization, and is still worn with traditional or ceremonial clothing like kimonos and stuff. There's also an annual festival where a whole bunch of guys wearing nothing but fundoshi beat the crap out of each other, trying to get a carved stick and then climb into a platform before someone can take it from them.

Nice, there were some things I didn't hear about from the leak. Beta Arceus was a cool idea. The shadowy figure would have worked in the game if he had been part of a larger plot, instead of being relegated to an event that was mostly inaccessible without cheats I think KZread unsubbed me but I've fixed that

I believe “Super Donkey” was just the super early prototype to Yoshi’s Island, at first Nintendo wanted Yoshi’s Island to be pseudo 3-d like Donkey Kong Country. Hence the name “Super Donkey.” You can definitely tell this prototype was made well after Super Mario Worlds release.

Why? Nintendo admitted years ago that Luigi was in the game during development. This "leak" basically did not leak anything we did not know already.

The "L is Real" texture appears in Dodongo's Cavern in the retail version of OoT, too

That large grey building just appears to be an asset from Sim City on the SNES.

That "Middle Finger" Luigi sprite appears more to be Luigi putting his hand on his bicep. Of course, in Europe, I know this is a very similar gesture saying "Screw you," either way, but in Japan, it's basically someone saying that they're strong enough to handle the task at hand.

well, sometimes the source code is lost. I was devastated to find out that the source code to FF8 was never saved because it wasn't thought as important. So now because FF8 has no source code Square Enix gave us an FF8 remaster which even though its the best they could do it looks worse than the original.

That could always have it's risks, especially for a company known to make kids games. Think about just these smaller leaks shown off in the video. A good bunch of content here definitely doesn't belong anywhere near them. You never know what they have locked in the Nintendo vault, some real scary shit could be hiding in there, stuff we don't want to see, especially coming from Nintendo. I think the occasional source code leak could be fine, but releasing everything to the public isn't a good idea, anyway you slice it.

Plumbing companies were probably throthing at the mouth with all the leaks coming from Nintendo this year.

One of the few times "top 10" is extremely useful to find out the best of what was mostly seemingly mundane stuff. That being said, I knew the leaks were intense and even just finding out about, say, the uncompressed "Do a barrel roll!" and other Star Fox 64 voice clips or most of all "L is real" were satisfying enough for me, but *wow,* no wonder it was so hard to find most of them and how bewildering some of these were, good grief!

Oddheader and The Easter Egg Hunter are two of my favorite people on KZread because I have always been obsessed with things hidden in games, especially when they were beyond my grasp to find out at the time.

glad i found this before the "it's really too late for another video, I should be asleep now" phase.

The 'disturbing' images from Star Fox 2 might have been used originally to show going through a black hole, like you do in the first game. Considering how trippy that level was, it'd make sense the team would look horrified.

Ocarina of Time had a lot of blood in it for an E rated game. The walls and floors of the Shadow Temple and Bottom of the well had dried blood on them, Dead Hand has blood on it and Ganon bleeds in the original release.

@@mattwolf7698 Don't forget when you take damage under certain circumstances, it definitely looks like a spray of blood. There's also the multi-colored blood that spouts from enemies like the killer plants and lizalfos.

That Ocarina of Time leak is truly amazing. After so long wondering, it turns out that the medallions were originally seals, perhaps as a way to seal the Tri-Force again before fighting Ganondorf.

4:30 made me happy for the fact that I wasn't expecting them to compare the character to Rayman at all

I think the starfox faces are just a possible hyperspace feature, or just a game over screen.

I think they were supose to be a comedic reaction, posibly to crashing or dialog, id say this on the acount of the stage desing of starfox 2 including more emphasis on going inside bases to destory them.

@@southdraw1017 can't be a coincidence that both those pictures and her got removed.

I'm not really too surprised about that building image with all the Mario characters. The Starfox one looks almost like an unused damage screen, or it could've been used for a secret level like the one in the first game. Kinda curious about the blood on Link's sword for that Zelda 2 game though, almost looks like a graphical error to me, but I'd have to look at it more. I still love seeing these unused elements of games, I like seeing the evolution of a game through old builds and unused features.

I think it's just using the wrong color palette or the sprites were maybe made with a non-standard color palette.

Or it could have also been concept art from Lily Franky Theatre, that weird mature game/series created for the Satellaview back in the 90's. I don't know, I'm just speculating.

That last one from Star Fox 2 got worked into a rather funny piece of art turning them into 'O Faces'...

That was fascinating stuff.
