10 Controversial Refereeing Moments Involving Rangers
VAR is here! With that in mind here are 10 Controversial refereeing moments from recent Rangers history to celebrate.
Referees in Scotland have it tough, this is a football mad country with more intense pressure on every decision than any comparable league. This video as much as it might seem so at times, is not intended to slate the officials, who will hopefully have an easier time of it with VAR.
Rankings not really important and the whole video is a bit tongue in cheek, try not to take it too seriously.

Even as a Rangers fan, I have to say that some of these shouldn't have been given to us. I don't think even VAR is going to improve it though.
Celtic fan here. Everything in this video is what football is all about! Listen I’m so fed up with this “new age” football. From VAR, to nachos and hotdogs at half time, it’s just a joke. Football is celebrating a goal and if there’s no whistle it’s a goal so go mental and land 6 rows infront of your seat. None of this wait for 5 minutes while the ref makes hand gestures like he’s guiding an aeroplane to the runway and then spends another 5 minutes looking at a screen in secret and then disallows a goal because 4 minutes ago someone got “nudged” in the middle of the park in the build up. Take me back to a pie and bov at half time, no VAR, fans singing what they want and arguing later in the pub about an offside. Real football. Today it’s like watching kids play fifa.
The game versus Livingston was an absolute shambles.

Fast forward a year and I can assure you it still isn’t any better. Every old firm game this past season there has been a contentious decision go against rangers even with the use of var and let’s no forget Gollum. When he’s officiating against rangers you just know what’s coming
The Offside decision at Dens Park is worthy of a shout too
But but the refs are masonic as fuck mate. Oh aye, remember the haliday one at capilow against Morton. Awesome stuff from the ref

Have rangers conceded a penalty in the league yet? Even after all the fouls including the handball saves from Goldson 🙄
That Kyrigakos penalty award remains one of the most awful decisions to this day. Truly bizarre.
