Hello thanks for the video I’m getting an almost burnt coffe/chicken smell inside the cab. I don’t notice it anywhere else. For some context, I recharged the ac system with a can of ac pro 2 days prior to the smell appearing. Any idea what it could be?

I have no lights on. So far my car did this 2 times. Smells almost like something electrical burning. But it just almost a minute then goes away.

It could be quite a few things a common one is a worn drive belt or serpentine when these crack it can create a very unpleasant burnt rubber smell.

Have a smell like rubber on my 2005 Ford Explorer. Two days ago A/C Clutch went out that is when i started smelling the rubber smell. Do have any ideas what it could be?

Hello, how are you ? I am Istiak from Bangladesh and I find your videos to be very helpful to maintain my car. I own a Toyota Allion 2010 (JDM Car, Model Code: NZT260). I am getting a sweet smell from A/C vents only during driving in highway speeds (60+ km/h) even though inside air recirculation is turned on. When I turn off inside air recirculation the sweet smell goes away and I can smell the fresh outside air. My main suspect was coolant leak. I usually don’t loose coolant during my city drives but noticed a 1/4 inch coolant drop in reservoir after coming from a 400km trip. What might be the cause and how to fix it ? TIA

What about if you have no smell but you get a burning sensation in your eyes and face everytime you drive the car?

How bout burnt hair smell? Only when I floor it at high rpm. No leaqs.

Good video, there is a smell in my car that isn’t apparent at first. The smell affects my tongue, and it doesn’t harshly smell. I can tell when I’m driving my tongue always get this weird feeling and when I took it to the dealership to get inspected they didn’t find anything but I take that with a grain of salt they don’t usually do things correctly when you go. What do I do? Emission test ? Muffler place? Help please

Like your videos, they're simple to understand and follow, but I've a 1998 Oldsmobile intrigue and shifter gets locked and I don't see any release hole around the area, does anyone knows where it is? I can get it loose be wiggle it around, but it's not easy.

Thank you for this video. The smell started after the catalytic converter was changed. There is a sound on the backside of the passenger side like sand blowing or rust. Any suggestions? It is an aftermarket catalytic. The smell is like is coming from the exhaust and it is brutally cold so I need the heat own but the smell is bad so have try to keep it as low as possible. yesterday when I went to the store and I came back in my the smell was still strong.

The shops for some reason like to leave the labels on the components unfortunately, you wind up smelling the labels heating up and burning off.

I see the sunrun car in the background. I use to work for them use to be a great company.

I know this video is old. But I see black smoke coming out the gas hole as soon as I take the gas cap off. And the gas cap is caked with blk. Sud.. 😩😨😨.

If you’re only doing short drives potentially it could last for a while yes.

Good morning everyone I have a quick question. Why is it that when I’m driving normal everything is fine but as soon as I step on the gas hard I smell like a mix of smoke/ rubber smell for about 2 minutes. Does anyone know what this could be. And there is no check engine light or visible smoke. It’s a 2014 Chrysler 300 V8

It could be your spark plugs I had a car who did that and turns out I just needed to change spark plugs

I've learned a lot of electrical problems exist due to insufficient grounding. Most likely wrong gauge wire or connector

The burning oil smell come from oil. Burning. Edit: I liked this video for good content. Just thought that was funny.

I'm getting a plastic/manure smell when running AC and heat. No cabin filter and it's not that musty smell either.....it's close to manure....

@@BudgetMechanicHawaii ya everything heat a/c just fresh air ...recirc and fresh. I did some digging and someone said the evap was leaking pag oil and that was the smell. Does that sound possible? Don't want to spend $1500 on the evap and labour and not have it be that.

I have a rubber smell

No one can figure out what's going on in my car ..it's making me so sick. Gives me heartburn..makes me yawn. Can't take in a whole breath . Makes me sleepy and the big one. Makes normal feet go to grandma feet in about a half hour. Then you just feel like crap like you are going to die.. exhaust was just done ..no one can figure it out

My car smells like burnt toast and almost like a little plastic but only if im driving the car for a bit. I can idle and rev the car for as long as I want with it parked and i dont get the smell.
