Am I the only one who thinks the whole "Three Jokers" thing robs the character of a lot of his oomph? I mean yeah, we've got alternate universes and so on and so forth, but I'm talking main continuity here. Half the reason Joker is so unpredictable for Bats is that he more or less reinvents himself every time he wakes up. Some days he'll devote ridiculous effort to simply playing a prank on Bats, other days he'll plot the wholesale slaughter of thousands as a punchline. Splitting those aspects of his unbelievably fractured personality into three characters seems to take away from what makes him such a damned interesting character to begin with. Or at least it does to me. Hell, "The Clown at Midnight" explains the differences in his personality (personalities?) just fine and dandy.

I agree. It's why Batman has NEVER viewed Riddler as anything other than a B-grade threat; he seeks to prove his intellect first, and harm/kill people second. Since Bats knows he's pretty well ALWAYS figure out what Nygma is up to, he isn't as much of a focus as the likes of Joker (who might be pranking someone....OR he might be trying to murder half of Gotham in an instant). Joker cannot be planned against, from the second he wakes up, because his desires will shift between malicious, bored, murderous, funny, and quaint. Riddler might try to push into those boundaries, but he'll still NEED to prove how smart he is, and that need will surmount ALL of his plans. No "showing off the brains", then no capers happen, full stop. Having THREE Jokers makes him as bad as having someone feeding Riddler his questions....it cheapens his entire deal.

No i ah disagree, chaos takes many forms, there might be three of them but they’re all just “the joker” even if Batman did kill one it’d be inevitable that a different joker would take his place, the joker isn’t a man he’s chaos. At the very least it give writers room to have completely different jokers or imaginings, so at the very least it doesn’t change much for any stories get over it

No one wants 3 jokers. I prefer the Heath Ledger sociopath style Joker. Crazy, murders, smart as hell. 3 of them leads to too many questions. How have they not known about each other? How have they not met? Are all 3 still alive?

Why doesn't joker ever die? Well because Batman doesn't kill him and also Gotham is in new Jersey and New Jersey doesn't have capital punishment, also because he's such an iconic character and there will continue to be different adaptations of him in the future. Also there is one joker not 3, that concept is stupid as hell

Batman DID NOT kill The Joker at the end of The Killing Joke. If you read Alan Moore's script he states that they are laughing so much they need to lean on each other.

So if there is 3 Jokers: 1. Would they know about one another? 2. If so, have they met? 3. Wouldn't there be 2 now since the "Killing Joker" may have met his demise? 4. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie lollipop? 😎

I think the TV show Gotham and the movie Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, has given us clues as to how their can be more then one Joker. We also have the thing with The Batman Who Laughs that also gives us a big clue as to how their can be more then one Joker, or that their will always be a Joker even after the death of the Joker. We also have the possibility that two of the three Jokers are from different universes that were brought into the main DC universe as a result of when Rebirth happened, or they're in the main DC Universe thanks to the works of either Barbados or The Batman Who Laughs from the DC Metal event.

The Arkham games also used the Joker disease idea before the Batman who Laughs. One thing I'm sure is that the 3 jokers are connected. They can't just be 3 different guys who went crazy the same way and turned into clowns. It has to be disease\clone\parallel universe or something else.

I remember some of the confirmed fan theories for the Archie Sonic comics, in particular: 1. Sally was meant to die during Endgame, and it was supposed to be the end of the comic. 2. Bunnie and Sally were supposed to reappear with designs close to what they had in the reboot, had it not rebooted, and the Mecha Sally arc came to a conclusion. 3. Rotor was written to be gay. 4. Rotor and other characters were driven into nominal character status later in the comic because Ian Flynn disliked them, but couldn't remove them outright due to fan popularity or contractual disputes. 5. The reboot and the excising of references to family and other Ken Penders characters beforehand was due to the lawsuit between Penders, Archie, and Sega.

And that technically American timeline is future of Japanese one (though Sonic franchise has horrible continuity so who know in the end). Anyway it would mean that Classic Sonic is in fact his descendent, what would explain why Sonic don't exactly remember participating in crossover events.

​@@jeremyadkins9665 Archie is absolutely own thing. In they universe that was the fact from quite some time. Point is that in case of the games American timeline was basically own thing. Though in recent games there are strong implication that Blaze world could be in fact Mobius and the future instead dimension (time travel always was part of the lore). Though Sonic has one of inconstant continuities in the history, so any head canon has potential to be correct with at least one version.

In short: In Sonic Rush it is established that Blaze come from alternative reality. It is also from where Eggman Nega come. In Sonic Rush Adventure we find out place from where Babylon Garden (space ship) from Sonic Riders come and it is safe to presume that is why Mobians are on Earth. But in Sonic Rivals it is established that Eggman Nega is in fact from future and Silver (who is from future) chased after him. Though it is unclear if it was retcon or straight incompetence? Or maybe part of the plan? Anyway, considering that time travel is a thing and it is strongly connected to Mobian technology it is safe to presume that Sol Dimension is in fact the future (and Mobious), just they simply couldn't know that when they initially reach it. Classic Sonic is from Sonic Generations and it was supposedly THIS same Sonic. But at the same time Sonic doesn't recognize those events. So I come to conclusion (what is my head canon) that it could be Sonic from future, not the past. As I said this franchise is a mess (even if I have theoretical timeline of it, cause I'm nerd).

A line in Batman the animated series ivy had to give Quinn her shots so they could "play together". Ivy totally said that.

I’m curious to find out about this three Jokers thing more.

Whatculture never has the entire facts on their videos. It is not the first time they skip on info such as that and it's funny in this case cause Black Widow had an entire comic series centered in the relationship between Yelena and Natasha, from Yelena wanting to kill Nat and supplant her, to them becoming allies.

It will be lame like most of DC. The overgrown and overwrought canon of DC will make the 3 Jokers reveal not very impressive or important. What might change that is if Batman comes to the point he can PROVE there are three Jokers, but 1) they never meet, 2) Batman can never catch even two of them in the same area at the same time. In short, it is something that is NEVER SOLVED.

He may have done it by accident during the events of Watchmen or he saw what the Flash had done to the timeline in Flash point Paradox and tried to fix it.

The Three Jokers didn' start off as a fan theory; it was started by the comics itself when Batman sat in the Moebius chair. Otherwise, most of these theories are pretty much old news...

There was one fan theory they did miss and that was the two Superman theory after the new 52 Superman was killed off we had our Superman back alive and kicking with his wife Lois and there son Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy which actually confirmed thanks to superman reborn

Again, it was not confirmed in Superman Reborn. Lois and Clark came out of Convergence. Lois and Clark clearly showed pre-New 52 Supes with Lois and Jon. This was *while* New 52 Superman was still alive. After New 52 Superman died, his essence was floating out there. In Superman Reborn, the two parts of Superman were combined. So you're correct to a degree.

I don't think that anybody wanted three Jokers necessarily. Rather it was just the most Logical conclusion to the fact that Ol Mr. J keeps popping back up after some of the most horrific deaths and or beatings.

Fan Theories? With the exception of no.5, I've always thought that these were obvious deductions.

Dr Manhattan causing the new 52 reboot was a recon not a fan theory that turned to be true.

The three jokers concept needs to be properly explored. Why did they never interact with one another? What are their individual identities? Wouldn't each joker have certain unique characteristics that another joker didn't have? Wouldn't Harely Quinn be able to tell the difference between all of them?

Haha the Wonder Women creators needed an excuse for how much the movie worked against its own message: The strong female lead leaving because of some guy (and being mansplained the whole movie.... why does everyone think its great?)

We'll see what Johns' explanation of the Three Jokers thing is, but the way I'd play it is, the Joker has three distinct personalities, therefore he has three True Names. (Remember, the Mobius Chair didn't reveal that there were three Jokers, only that there were three True Names.)

Also Batman did have suspicions, just couldn't get solid confirmation or explanation. "Or that the Joker seemed to only remember a third of his encounters with Batman" Not counting those from paralel words. Each joker generally was active in different time frame. Also Joker is crazy. Even of he would not remember things, it wasn't much outside Batman expectations.

I really hate that the three jokers storyline is canon.

I hate that they changed the planned endings of things because somebody leaked yes the destination is important but the journey is just as important I've never got insulted because somebody has spilled the beans of an ending of a movie because you still got to figure out how it got there

1. that's a pretty weak justification for wonder woman getting it on with other chicks. I mean, yeah, she'd have to clap something, but she left the island because she wanted to fulfil the amazons' original duty. not because of steve trevor. 2. I also theorize that the joker uses poison ivy to spy on harley when she leaves him. he knows she'll cool her down and won't let her spill any information. also that he started doing this after the events of "the trial" and also got them into a tryst with catwoman because it would be less stable and she would come back quicker.

It could be interpreted either way. He does have his hands around Joker's neck and they both laugh maniacally and then the laughing stops. The animated movie is also ambiguous. Batman puts his hands on Joker's shoulders but Joker's laugh stops way before Batman's laugh. I think it's vague on purpose.

Apparently not if we believe Alan Moore says he didn't but I see it a valid possible interpretation Batman does kill the Joker in The Dark Knight Returns and then hallucinates him still talking to him before completing the kill himself. (Compare Dwight hallucinating Jackie Boy's corpse still talking to him in Frank Miller's other work Sin City.)

I don't find the two first FF movies "terrible". It was close to the comics in both humor and aventure (except Doom and Sue being together, that sucked) and the actors did the job well (especially Chris Evans, he was a better Torch than he is a Cap).
