Hi listen I think that it's great that your channel is so popular that you can promote products like that but please stick to your videos I don't think we wanna hear it...
The Batman storyline has become the DEFINITION of his character now, as ALWAYS having a contingency plan, even against "friends". WHAT CULTURE should do a video on characters who personalities were defined OUTSIDE their own books...
Steve Rogers being a secret Nazi was pure BS no matter how you slice it.
Actually no, the Illuminatis decision was not reasonable and numerous people chewed them out about their betrayal of the Hulk afterwards. Very intelligent does not mean smart in the real world and they should have known it would come back to bite them.
I'm surprised you didn't bring up the irony of Jason Todd who was killed by the Joker became the Red Hood who kills the Joker who was the original Red Hood before being the Joker.
@killmonger5097

Redhood never killed joker only in an elseworld story
The ones we should’ve seen coming are always the best though.
You’ve mixed up the Xorns. Xorn 1, who “became” magneto, had a star inside the mask; his brother had the black hole Also, it was retconned that he wasn’t magneto, just manipulated to think he was. Magneto was hiding in Genosha
Batman’s Tower of Babel reveal of the contingencies and their use by a villain…previously known as the Xavier Protocols and Operation:Zero Tolerance where Bastion seized all the mansion’s files…
@bratpack6571

The difference there was that the XMen are Xavier STUDENTS, not his COLLEAGUES. THE Xavier Protocols seem to be logical to have, while Batman just shows lack of blind trust...
Named Professor X twice during number 10. Lol
Spider-Man needs to learn to never trust an Osborn
Xorn was revealed to be Magneto later revealed to be Xorn posing as Magneto.
secret empire was amazing and one of the best events of the modern era
You should make a video on how many characters were made as a failed (or successful) super soldier serum experiments
Well this video is now out of date as we now know Harry Osborn wasn't the Kindred. It was the Stacy twins.
@johnegan3503

Out of date literally before the video was even published...
So The Comic Book Version Bobby Roode turning on James Storm in TNA still remember that to this day
the gwen stacy one is brutal
So, in an attempt to regain their public's interest, Marvel did the exact type of things that made their public lose interest in their comics by turning Captain America into an agent of Hydra...fucking brilliant.
1:42 Unfortunately it already did. The tipping point for the decision came from a recent rampage in Las Vegas after a Gama Bomb explosion drove the hulk mad. He killed 17 civilians and one dog. Now, I don't believe that the choice to exile him was right, but that's the key reason. It wasn't just a matter of when this kind of thing would happen; the choice was made because it actually had happened.
Number Five from The Umbrella Academy. It is revealed that he was rude and selfish at Vanya. And when Five and the others were going to save Vanya, what happened? He attempted to kill Vanya for a justified move. A move that felt out of character. Not a good noble act. The comics version of Five is a far cry from the live-action adaptation who feels humanized and relatable.
Harry wad behind Kindred, but Kindred himself was Gabrial and sarah? Normans twins, who where another lie created by Harry. Right?
zorn shouldn’t be on here cuz it was reconned or something in the end that it was actually a real zorn and wasnt really magneto
You said Professor X twice in the Illuminati lineup :D
Reading the Justice League Dark omnibus right now, and just finished the Trinity War. Thoughout the entire book I suspected the traitor, just seemed too weird. Sure enough, that’s who it was. Still, even though I saw it coming it was satisfying as hell when s/he confirmed it.
So your just gonna leave out the fact of the ship the illuminati put hulk on was basically an atomic bomb and not mention why the hulk came back to smash them???
I mean, the Steve Rogers twist was teed up if you had read the admittedly not widely remembered Assault on Pleasant Hill (or whatever the near forgotten prequel was called)
I still cannot fathom how disrespectful the Captain Hydra thing is. Cap was written by 2 Jewish men during World War 2 as anti-nazi propaganda and they turned him into a fucking nazi. It is insane that anyone at Marvel ever thought that was ok
@christopherkidwell9817

There were alternative reality shenanigans going on there and should I remind you that in the real world, the U.S. came very close to signing a non-aggression treaty with Nazi Germany. So not as disrespectful as you think it was, more "There but for a lite breeze from fate we could have gone!"

So captain America basically turned heel in a marvel comic
Doom Patrol's The Chief, is revealed to be responsible for the teams accidents. In order to introduce the concept of Doom Patrol. It feels like a villainous action and a betrayal. It ruins everything about origins the Doom Patrol since 1963. It's a cheap retcon and disservice everything the Doom Patrol once stood for.
dude it was the Gwen kids (the ones she had with norman)

Theyre clones, not their kids, thank god.
It's quite hypocritical of the League to just outright say that the Batman betrayed them when in Identity Crisis, when he finds out that they basically LOBOTOMIZED Dr. Light, they made sure he wouldn't be a problem by wiping his memory of the events through Zatanna. Overall, it reinforces my opinion that superhero teams DON'T FUCKING WORK.
@LupineShadowOmega
2 жыл бұрын
Yes, except you know that none of the people on that League team were members of the group of heroes that did that. So how dare a group of heroes be mad at Batman for betraying their trust, when a completely different group of people betrayed his trust one time.
@devoradordelosmundos
2 жыл бұрын
What different group? It was the same group. There were a few more members, but it was the League. Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern..they all condoned with Zatanna's idea to erase Batman's memories about her and the League members lobotomizing Dr. Light.
@LupineShadowOmega
2 жыл бұрын
@@devoradordelosmundos Few more? Superman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman weren't even a part of that group and the Green Lantern there was Hal. You have exactly no one from Tower of Babel that was in the group with Dr. Light except Flash. I'm pretty sure that was Wally in both. The Identity Crisis group was specifically: Black Canary, Green Lantern (Hal), Green Arrow, The Atom, Hawk Man, and I was wrong. That was Barry and not Wally, so not even the same Flash.
@devoradordelosmundos

But it's still the League. And you can be sure that Superman, Wonder Woman AND Aquaman were also in the know.
@devoradordelosmundos

In any case, I rest my case. Superhero teams DON'T WORK in most cases. It's like putting together THE WORST workmates to work in the same office.
In a way this was a rationalization for the betrayals cited, but I’m not complaining. Have to agree with Jules regarding Capt. America in #6. Steve’s occasional holier-than-thou attitude (IE New Avengers/Civil War) does tend to be grating. He’d be perfect in the Star Trek: The Next Generation’s first 2 seasons given his moralizing.
The ozymandias heel turn and reveal was far from obvious. I read the graphic novel like 2 or 3 times before the movie was made and 1 time after and like said wasn't obvious at all imho
Does anyone else realize he says professor x twice
How about something other than just Marvel and DC all the time?
0:42 Why did you say "Professor X" twice in naming the Illuminati?? Once was fine

The Hydra cap storyline wasn't a financial success. Outside of the first couple issues. After that readership dropped off a cliff and marvel lost even more readers across all titles as long time readers washed their hands of the company. I won't say it won't be done again but only a very stupid exec would greenlight it.
Evil Capitan America backlash 😰😢😒
Invincible has a really good betrayal arc that lead towards the end of the comic series.
Awful list. Zero research. Randomly selected betrayals with forced justifications for including them in the list. Either we shouldnt have seen it coming because it was so dumb (cap in hydra, etc), or we always saw it coming so it isnt surprising and doesnt belong on the list (joker, etc). Stop paying your writers.
