The Coca-Cola Company was started in 1886 by a pharmacist named John Pemberton and the first product sold was the iconic Coca-Cola. Today, Coca-Cola Company now has over 500 different products being sold in around 200 countries. But since Coca-Cola has released so many different products over the years, it also means that there have been some products that were not so well received (along with a couple of fake products which, if real, would make people wonder who was in charge of product development over there at Coke). So let’s sip on the Top 10 Coca-Cola drinks that embarrassed the company.

- In 1985, Coca-Cola was losing sales to other competing soda brands so it decided that Coke needed a change up. Coke decided to change its formula and release a new and improved New Coke in hopes of regaining lost sales.
- In 1993, Coca-Cola decided that it needed to start marketing towards Generation X through a new drink called OK Soda. The product was named OK because it’s the most recognized word around the globe.
- Coca-Cola Blak was first released in France in 2006 and moved to the American market quite quickly after. Its main selling point was its high levels of caffeine, making it a competitor to other energy drinks on the market.
- In 2003, Coca-Cola decided to hop on to the DJ and remix trends of the early 2000s in order to catch the attention of young people by releasing a series of 3 flavors of Sprite Remixes.
- To hop on to the low-carb diet trend of the early 2000s, Coca-Cola released the Coca-Cola C2 in Japan in 2002, and in the United States in 2004. But the product wasn't exactly what people wanted.
- In 2014, Coca-Cola Life was released, a drink that looks like normal Coke but made with natural sweeteners like Stevia and cane sugar. The drink also only contained 89 calories per can, rather than the usual 139 in normal Coke.
- Since around 2014, there’s been an image making its rounds on the Internet of a purple can of Coca-Cola with the word “garlic” on it. Accompanied with the image was text stating that the product was available in Romania, or occasionally other locations.
- In the 1990s, clear cola was all the rage so in 1992, Coca-Cola decided to release Tab Clear, a variation of normal Tab that was clear in colour while still tasting like the original.
-There’s been an image of a bacon-flavored Coca-Cola can making its way through the Internet for a while now but to the disappointment of bacon lovers everywhere, this product does not actually exist.
- Italy’s exclusive Coca-Cola product was a drink called Beverly, which made its debut in 1969 and was sold all the way up to 2009, when it was finally discontinued. The drink is a non-alcoholic aperitif, a type of alcohol consumed before meals in order to stimulate the appetite.

When coca cola releases garlic coke Vampires: its poison
One of the thing I remember from a month-long visit to Germany a few years ago was how I was able to find some really, really good deals on food at the grocery story. Usually it was stuff that simply had to be sold that day or thrown away, and it was marked down considerably. If you wanted to, you could simply walk to the grocery store every day, buy whatever was on sale, and just make a day's worth of meals out of that. There's just not an equivalent system where I live in the US. Grocers would rather throw food away than to heavily discount it.

In Japan, the soda companies seem to come out with a new flavor every season. One time, I found Azuki Pepsi (azuki is a sweet red bean often used in Japanese tea snacks). It was the most disgusting pop I’ve ever tried, but the limited nature of the flavor was too enticing to not try it.
makes me really feel like the Mandella effect has me on a different timeline as “ok” cola and cocaCola Life aren’t anything I remember...odd

They did until 1921 when the Fair Food and Drug Act put the brakes on it.
C2 wasn't marketed as any kind of soda lol, it's iced tea...also it's not discontinued, they still make and distribute it in Japan, and it's fairly common to find it in import stores.

They got their images mixed up. I don't think that the Japanese "C2" iced tea drink has anything to do with Coca-Cola C2. (is it even a Coke product?) I don't know why they even used those images, as Coke C2 simply had the classic Coke Label, with the text in black font, a silver band around the top and bottom of the label, and "C2" written above the Coca-Cola script. Coke C2 was simply coke with the sugar cut in half , with Aspartame making up for the rest. Some would think it would not make a difference, but it did. That was the most disgusting soda I ever had!

@@triangleofdeath6246 did some more research and it's completely unrelated to coke. I had heard from a different video that C2 was a coke product probably because of the same name confusion that caused these guys to use the wrong images, but it turns out it's a Filipino company that produces it in the Philippines and Vietnam.

I remember I purchased a whole bunch of the powder packets in late 2004.. kinda glad I did tho cause those packets have lasted all these years and I actually had a grape sprite remix the other day.. still tastes as great as it did when it first came out

I remember OK Soda very clearly. My cousins and I were obsessed with it. It was basically like the "graveyard" concoctions people make where they mix everything together. Interesting, but not very good.

This video showed the C2 from that Philippines, which is not be affiliated with the coca cola company. Philippine C2 is a tea product that would compete against Snapple Teas if they were ever in the same country market. Coca-Cola's C2 was a mix-calorie cola as the video says even though they used the wrong images.

On a side note though, whatever drink this company produces, avoid it to protect your health
Fresca was also made by the Coca-Cola company, and there was also a Diet Fresca. Back during the summer of 1977, I was 'volunteered' to be a camp counsellor for a week at a church camp. One of the duties was to provide soft drinks for the kids, to be debited from their pre-paid accounts. I found that when most of the other drinks had been taken, the kids would rather leave thirsty than accept Diet Fresca, even on the hottest days.

i was so confused as to why they were showing the C2 brand because that one is made by Universal Robina, not coke. I looked up the pictures of Coca-Cola C2, and up they where different.

A notable omission from the video was the Desani disaster in the UK. Coca Cola filled bottles of that water brand with regular tap water (from Birmingham, of all places), but somehow managed to contaminate the water in the process. So their bottled water was inferior to actual tap water.

They didn't fill the bottles with "regular tap water". What happened was that the tap water already contained something called "bromide" before they even touched it, and then during sterilization of the water, somehow that bromide turned into "bromate", which is a carcinogen
