Portugal? are you sure of that? Ok, it's true, apart of some short periods I always lived here and I do not want to live in any other place on earth, but is becoming expensive to live here. The cost of life is expensive, the taxes, the communications, gas, electricity or home rental costs are expensive. It's true that it is possible to live here with 1000€ month per person, is not a great life but is possible, is also possible to have a decent meal in a restaurant with 10€, is necessary to know where and in what restaurants, because a meal could cost much more money than that, but it is possible, but a lot of people have wages shorter than 1000 €. I use to say that Portugal is very nice for foreigners because we, the locals, do not hearn enough money to live here. And . . . crime is rising, maybe is yet short in relation with other countries, but it's much higher than we were used to, even we have an almost decent healt care and education system.

Crimes in Europe is mostly caused by Muslim immigrants. The poor countries mentioned has few, or no Muslim immigrants, and is thus very safe.
