It's good. But, I think he chose to list books from other genres rather than self help books!!

Please continue this book recommendation series. I am not half as smart as you. But I find that the subjects that captivate you equally captivate me. And nobody understands why all of these things captivate me. Therefore, hearing someone discuss these topics feels like connecting with a friend I've never met

Through out the video I was hoping you would talk about Sapiens / Homo Deus :D and finally you did, and I had an entirely new appreciation for what you are trying to accomplish here.. great suggestions. I will definitely check out the suggestions 10 to 2. Sapiens, Homo Deus and Quiet are some of my favourite non-fiction books.

2 years ago I used to hate reading, especially non-fiction. It all changed when I accidentally decided to read one small book. That book was Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It just blew my mind, there was a paradigm shift in my life & I finally felt I could have some focus in life. Since then, I have read close to 60 books, all thanks to RD,PD for making me fall in love with reading

Thanks Anand, Your video finally nudged me to start podcast with book reviews which I had always wanted to do. This year, I did a Goodreads challenge of 19 books (mostly fiction though). I couldn't imagine a better score than Celeste OST which you used while reviewing anxiety book. One of my favourite games with best depiction of anxiety attacks!! Night in the woods is another game I liked with depiction of depression. I would add atomic habits & man's search for meaning to your list. Tldr -your reviews rocked..

Hey Anant. As someone from finance background, I'd recommend Psychology of Money over Rich Dad Poor Dad. It will definitely improve your saving + investing habits. Also, brief history of nearly everything is the book that brought me back to the world of science. Beautiful anlogies and explanation. And my favourite book not made to this list is Thinking, fast and slow. This book will make us understand how our brain functions and deals with human biases including confirmation bias.

6:03 മനുഷ്യൻ മറ്റേതു ജീവിയെപ്പോലെ വെറും ഒരു ജീവി മാത്രമാണ്. പക്ഷേ മനുഷ്യൻ ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യകൾ വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിൽ പറയുന്ന പോലത്തെ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ രചിക്കുന്നു. മറ്റുജീവികളെകുറിച്ച് ,പ്രപഞ്ചത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് എല്ലാം ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നു. മറ്റു ജീവികൾ ഏതെങ്കിലും ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യകൾ വികസിപ്പിച്ചെടുത്തതായി കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല. മനുഷ്യൻ കാറിലോ ബൈക്കിലോ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ ഒരു ജീവിയും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല, അതിനു ജീവിക്കാൻ മൊബൈലോ, കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറോ ഇന്റർനെറ്റോ ഒന്നും വേണ്ട. ഒരു പക്ഷേ മറ്റു ജീവികളും ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യകൾ വികസിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിലോ ? അവരും മനുഷ്യരോട് സംസാരിക്കുകയും ശാസ്ത്ര വിഷയങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് ചർച്ച ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കിലോ ? അപ്പോഴാണ് നമ്മൾ ഒരു സത്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കുക നമ്മുടെ ശാസ്ത്രം 'നമ്മുടെ ' ശാസ്ത്രം മാത്രമാണെന്ന്. ആ ജീവികളുടെ ശാസ്ത്ര ലോകം അവരുടെ Sensory limits ന്റെയും Brain ന്റെ processing pattern നും അനുസരിച്ച് വ്യത്യാസപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും അവർ പറയുന്ന ശാസ്ത്ര വിഷയങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യന് ദഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല. മനുഷ്യന് ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക രംഗത്ത് compete ചെയ്യാൻ വേറൊരു ജീവിയില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് നമുക്ക് നമ്മുടെ Science വലിയ സംഭവമായി തോന്നുന്നത്. ഇന്ന് ഈ കാണുന്ന ലോകവും ശാസ്ത്രവുമെല്ലാം മനുഷ്യൻ എന്ന ഒരു ജീവിയുടെ perspective മാത്രമാണ്. നമ്മുടെ ശാസ്ത്രം നമ്മുടെ തലച്ചോറിന്റെ sense നും logic നും അനുസരിച്ച് മാത്രമാണ് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക. അതുകൊണ്ട് മനുഷ്യൻ അവന്റെ തലച്ചോറ് കൊണ്ട് ഒരു theory solve ചെയ്താൽ അത് മറ്റു മനുഷ്യർക്കെല്ലാം work ആകും. പക്ഷേ ആ ശാസ്ത്രം മറ്റു ജീവികൾക്ക് ഉപദ്രവവുമായിരിക്കും. തൃശൂർ പൂരത്തിന് ആനയെ കൊണ്ട് നിർത്തിയാൽ ചെണ്ടമേളത്തിന്റെയും പടക്കത്തിന്റെയും ശബ്ദം എത്ര അസഹ്യമാണെന്ന് ശാസ്ത്രം പറയുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് അറിയില്ല. അറിയാമെങ്കിലും അത് അനുഭവിക്കുന്നത് എന്താണെന്ന് മനുഷ്യന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല. ആ അനുഭവം ആന എന്ന ജീവിക്ക് മാത്രം സ്വന്തമാണ്

Great videos and i really enjoyed every content but it would be absolutely great if you can add some books on our constitution how a person can defend his rights and things that matter in our daily life for instance things that we should take precautins things that can enchance our living quality even though everything around is science we dont bother about it much and it doesnt make it much uselfull in wide perspective if you get what i am saying please do suggest books in which we can understand human minds
