I think she was bitter because Lee Daniels didn't choose her to play the role of "Cookie Lyon" on Empire. She was being very outspoken about some other issues she believed Holloywood had against her and mad at Oprah, Steve Harvey, DL Hughley and others for not having her back. She and her husband pretty much black-balled her by being known as difficult to work with for being loud and aggressive.
