This is a decent list. However, there were some errors, in particular the comment about the elephants. The Oregon Zoo breeds Asian elephants not African.

I'm from Australia and have visited the US a number of times. After all the states I've been to, I've determined the top 3 cities/states I would live in for liveability and diversity are San Francisco, CA, Providence, RI and Portland, OE. Am I right in those choices? Let me know. I'm leaning towards Portland the most.

Still not convinced into visiting..

You got it wrong there Asian elephant not African elephants. Plus The Washington Park Zoo, All of Washington Park, the Pittock Mansion and Forest Hills park are all of the same continuous park. Which includes Hoyt Arboretum, International Rose Test Garden and the Portland Japanese Garden.

How can anyone go to Portland and not be put off by the extreme problems and trash all over the streets and neighbourhoods. That level of unkept and homeless tents all over should be a red warning flag on Portland.

I totally agree with you Toyota, I live in Oregon and have been to Portland several times and UGH nasty nasty NASTY! I only go there to take my grand daughter to the zoo . Use to go there for other things but that city is one of the dirtiest cities i have ever visited. Everywhere I looked has garbage and homeless camps. Kai maybe your just use to it and you don’t see it?

Why do you have a picture of the sea to represent Portland? It's not on the sea. It's on two rivers.

Used to be a pleasant wet city, now it's just wet.

Each night , lawless anarchists destroy and desecrate property, including the Federal Courthouse Building as well as attacking Police stations with arson as the motive. Meanwhile, local authorities refuse to restore order. It's dangerous..Stay away..
