This is the best video on rotator cuff exercises that I have seen.
A week after my shoulder replacement these guys are my life now!
Delightfully educational, fellas! I just KNEW you'd have at least one video that offers the help I need. My left shoulder sends many, many thanks! ...& in reality, you're the two most WONDERFUL...physical therapists...on the internet!
As someone who was diagnosed with hEDS a couple years ago & at my wits end with ignorant physicians, you guys are my BIGGEST HEROES! Thanks guys for literally saving me! I LOVE YOU! 😘
You both are so completely appreciated
Thanks! I’m going to start doing these. I was just getting better then reijured my shoulder.
You two are so amazing, the best rotary cuff insight readily available!
Thank you for this highly informative video!
thank you for helping me once again. I am thankful that you are helping to show how to safely strengthen my shoulder without causing more damage to it.
Oh my days! So happy i found you. I love you guys, thank you so much for your helpful advice and exercise tips. I have a rotator cuff injury from a fall a few months ago. I am doing these strengthening exercises and it is helping. Mwah xx
You both guys are awesome, seriously you are expert in your field. I always learn lots of healthy stuff from you. Now, myself is an exercise therapist. Keep sharing your immense knowledge.
A bad PT in the past misdiagnosed my shoulder, and I never got anywhere with it. Today, I finally saw a new PCP and they quickly pointed it towards rotator cuff issues. Now, I'm an active guy. I lift a lot and I lift often, but what you guys gave me here just gave me a crazy challenge with some old resistance bands. Two hours ago I was begging someone to cut my arm open, now I feel like I have some hope.
You guys are amazing, thank you so much 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for providing information that is beneficial and educational on taking better care of our bodies. I'm a personal trainer and I share your useful advice to all of my clients. I also enjoy your personal interactions. Learning made fun for all!! Please, keep it up. Admiring eyes, Elle

4 yrs now for me , We are so Lucky to have these Men ✔️
I have had shoulder pain for a couple of years and saving up for an operation until I came across your videos. Started out with your diagnosing should pain, to the beginning PT exercises to get started lightly, then progressing to a higher level. Within weeks, I could raise my arms over my shoulder and lower them with no pain. Previously, I could raise my arms, but needed to use my other hand to lower the raised arm. I was told I might need surgery, but the tests were so expensive and my medical insurance has a very high deductible. I could only imagine if I had moved forward with the surgery before finding Bob and Brad. Best to both of you and hope Bob is making progress!
Love you guys. Thanks from Vancouver Canada.
Thanks for the proper information to help rebuild my shoulder 👍
Greetings gentlemen. I'll give these exercises a go. My GP put me onto and says if I follow you it will help with my sore shoulder. Cheers from sunny South Oz.
Man You guys are like angels, Thank You.

Thanks you guys, former boxer here and 50 years old. I struggle with some arthritis in the shoulders, knees and hands. Lately, the shoulder impingement been bothering me. Not a lot of pain but just enough to remind me with day-to-day activities. These exercises are a good start to my recovery. Thank you.

How was it bro
thanks for your videos, from a guy of the north of Spain.
This actually helps do these and do leg exercise while in the gym because all shoulder exercises or even upper body exercises hurt my shoulders so taking extra precaution. Cracks everytime I do pushups shoulder press and doing benching as well even pull ups. So once it's fixed definitely gonna add these exercises to my workouts especially after chest day.

Hows is it now?
I am totally grateful for this video and have been doing my shoulder exercises. I hope this is still good for me...as my doctor says my rotator cuff is not repairable. He was able to move my bicep tendons but not repair the cuff...
U both r best n ur technique is most accurate n easy...
Thank you so much
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you two crap me the heck up!
THANXS VERY USEFUL VDOS. I'm satisfied.
Love you guys and appreciate you
You guys are awesome!
I am waiting for my MRI to see what I can and can not do. I love your channel and watch it often.
Thank you sir
My shoulder and I thank you.
Thank you sir again
Hey guys! Thanks for great videos. I'm looking to do a safe upper body weightlifting routine AFTER my rotator cuff surgery. Can you do a video about that? Thanks in advance.
Hey guys! Ive been following you guys for quite some time now, and i guess its about time I share my issue with the rotator cuffs! I've being to multiple Therapists to sort my issue, but none of them really helped get me a permanent solutio. I got my MRI of the right scapula done and it seems I am still pretty clueless about whats wrong. I think i injured myself during my Yoga practice. These are my findings- Rotator cuff tendenitis involving the supraspinatus,Infraspinatus and subscapularis tendons. Minimal subdeltoid and subacromial bursitis. Mild fibro capsular hypertrophy at the acromia clavicular joint. -The findings suggest external impingement in right shoulder joint. Hoping for a solution! Thank you
Love you guys
Nice video gentlemen! I agree that empty can is bad, but I've heard that full can is extremely important as it's the only one which really targets the supraspinatus, which is usually the one which gets impinged. Your thoughts?
Very good 😊
Could you do a full video on foam rollers?
I got two shoulder surgeries left right and he couldn't get to AC joint is very painful still after this year and how can I do some exercise to help thank you for your awesome info thank you
Wow, thanks for this! Irritated my left RC about 8 weeks ago unhooking my bra of all things! Its getting better, but I still can't get my arm behind my back. Pulling my pants up on that side is almost impossible. I've been doing light stretches and have been working with a 2 lb. weight. These exercises are going to help a lot! So glad I found you guys!

@@elena_milano Hello Elena these exercises should help your situation. I had surgery some years back and am now experiencing soreness in the opposite shoulder cuff. These are the exact exercises I had to do with my first surgery which was a full tear but I am glad I found these guys for what now just appears to be cuff soreness; will work on strengthening. They also have a video that gives tips on how to identify the type of injury to your shoulder. Hope my reply helps.
I've been asking about the throwing motion for 25 years. I hurt my shoulder serving volleyball and throwing softball in grade school and have never been able to play softball since. I recall a P.E. class that I suspect was the last straw. The teacher had us throwing a softball further and further away. I had no weight training so just regular shoulder stability. That was the first time I recall the pain. Making a single softball base throw causes pain and numbness (which goes away after a while.) I don't have shoulder pain except with that motion. It happens even 25 years later if I try again. Time to see if I can strengthen the muscles to allow me to play again!

nice video
Decent video with practical and effective information. Start light, use good form and advance further when you're pain free. Invest in some bands or rubber tubes, they're inexpensive. Most sports stores have them or order off of Ebay.
Enjoyed your video. I am rehabbing rotator cuff surgery. I want to buy a theraband to exercise at home. What resistance weight should I get? 10 lb? 15 lb? or heavier? Thanks for your feedback.
You guys are a blessing for the sore body parts ;-) Hello from India!
Second impingement for me, 2 months PT, and now doing Bob and Brad KZread therapy. Wish me luck.
I love physical therapy 😭 I have a bachelors in kinesiology and I am now a personal trainer and do a lot of physical therapy on some clients. I am going back to school to become a physical therapist assistant. I would become an actual physical therapist, but it is really expensive. So is the PTA program but not as much as physical therapy
Love your work boys. Thank you very much
Thank you so much for posting this video docs! I'm gonna start this today. I've been struggling with a external rotators issue on left shoulder for a couple of years from crossfit injury. Would you do these movements in the non injury side to balance or not?
@davidrajaruzicka5546
Жыл бұрын
I may be a little late, but yes, train both sides evenly. Helps correct the injury and keeps the strong arm progressing. When you heal, you can get muscles stronger than before, which is why you balance both sides.
Vielen Dank. Go Packers!
your videos are really helpful sir. can you give some information on torn wrist ligament (TFCC) strengthening?? please it will be really grateful of you.
Fantastic videos! I have an impingement, not a tear. For the throwing exercises (and I suppose all of them), what does a small click indicates when I am doing them? That I am progressing too fast? Is that an indication that I have bone spurs? I am a tennis player, 55, and got some degenerative neck damage probably due to bad posture typing on the computer. Are there more exercises for throwing motions? Could you please do a series on that? Thank you.

how do you know or what if the nerve is still pinched because i get some sharp pain on some of these? thank you

Hi
I was wondering if someone has had both arms operated on (torn rotator cuff repair) and one of the bicep muscle cut on both arms would these be exercises be good to regain strength in both arms? By the way Its been two years since these operations and the person never had physical therapy after those surgeries. Thanks for your great videos!

Elizabeth V depends what stage youre at to be honest. but if you want to be safe, start doing the rotator cuff stuff while lying on your back with a towel supporting the elbow (to make sure its not below the shoulder). basic progression is: do the movments without weights 20 times, if no pain progress to weights but with 10-30s holds x 5, then progress to reps of 10-20 x 2-4 sets.
beautiful
This is great, came here from Jeff Cavaliere’s athleanx channel, and while he knows his stuff, he tends to skip straight to the advanced exercises. I guess this is because his channel is intended for people already in good shape, but I see his exercises and I’m like Po from the first Kung Fu Panda Movie: “Do you have like, a level zero?”
The resistance bands are available in a variety of ratings. As a beginner with shoulder pain, what is the resistance band rating ( in lbs or Kg) that should be selected for the internal and external rotation exercises.
Can you do these with a torn rotator cuff.. ? I have not had surgery.. Will it help to heal it without surgery?
Rather than empty can do full can. Still works super spinatus but no internal rotation. Squat university suggested
That overhead throwing motion isn’t exactly painful though there is some, but I feel a lot of popping in my shoulder when I do it. What does that mean?
Does anyone know how often we're supposed to do these exercises Great vid tho Subbed!

is is better to let the body heal before exercising or stretching?
Can you train your serratus anterior muscle if you already have some shoulder or spine problem? For the 2-nd exercise Cuz I have shoulder injury but when I do the bend external rotation exercise after some point of time doing it (days, weeks) I think I start to feel pain in the center of my spine.because of it. Can it be from the movements in this exercise?
Funny and instructive. Exelent! Thank you.
Dear Sirs Is it possible for a partial tear to heal /rejoin just by strengthening and these specific rotator cuff exercises ? Or comlplete healing is not possible without surgery?
@eastwood111

Shereveer Vakil From what I've learned it depends on how small the tear is. It's really kind of subjective and only time will tell.
Hi all Iam dealing with a patient that she is having a partial tear of rotator cuff muscle and including she is affected with sarcoidosis so unfortunately even her fingers gone into deformity. So in the same hand she is having a tear so can you please put a video how to treat this patient .
I'm having burning sensation while working out and boxing. Left side has pain and burning in shoulder region and back
Are all these exercises good for therapy after surgery?
When is too soon after an injury to start doing these exercises?
@Drake64958
3 жыл бұрын
Basically, if it hurts doing the exercise and the pain doesn’t fade away after a couple of repetitions it is to soon. (Best to go to a professional if it doesn’t get better)
where to buy such a Thera band?
My shoulder is only sore when drawing my bow back, will these exercises help for it as well?

Hello doctors ..Why does it get irritated while sleeping on the affected side?
What happens when you hear/feel the shoulder popping?
A small partial thickness tear, and I'm miserable. Orthopedic surgeon won't operate on this tiny thing. I want to be back to normal, but a year into this thing, I'm still miserable. Help!.

it can heal only itself by nutiritionand only wet cupping cures it because oxygen and food goes there to cure it when you take the dirty blood and fresh blood goes there

It's not just the labrum, you also stretched the tendons and ligaments. They don't point that out on the MRI because the surgeon can't fix tendons or ligaments unless they separate. I was in exactly the same boat you are in. Then I visited regenexx and did PRP therapy. In six weeks I got all of my power back and most of my stability. One more treatment and I'm done. $900 a pop, not covered by insurance. Good luck.

God bless guys. Now you dudes are emphasizing on pain. But if I feel pain on all movement I have to do it. Else is going to get worse if I sit doing nothing. Pain is weakness leaving the body. Right. Well good pain.
i have a a torn rotator cuff that can't be repaired it's been repaired once and I re tore it I still ride my bike I was a triathlete, can I try to start swimming free style?
