A bad PT in the past misdiagnosed my shoulder, and I never got anywhere with it. Today, I finally saw a new PCP and they quickly pointed it towards rotator cuff issues. Now, I'm an active guy. I lift a lot and I lift often, but what you guys gave me here just gave me a crazy challenge with some old resistance bands. Two hours ago I was begging someone to cut my arm open, now I feel like I have some hope.

I have had shoulder pain for a couple of years and saving up for an operation until I came across your videos. Started out with your diagnosing should pain, to the beginning PT exercises to get started lightly, then progressing to a higher level. Within weeks, I could raise my arms over my shoulder and lower them with no pain. Previously, I could raise my arms, but needed to use my other hand to lower the raised arm. I was told I might need surgery, but the tests were so expensive and my medical insurance has a very high deductible. I could only imagine if I had moved forward with the surgery before finding Bob and Brad. Best to both of you and hope Bob is making progress!

This actually helps do these and do leg exercise while in the gym because all shoulder exercises or even upper body exercises hurt my shoulders so taking extra precaution. Cracks everytime I do pushups shoulder press and doing benching as well even pull ups. So once it's fixed definitely gonna add these exercises to my workouts especially after chest day.

Hey guys! Ive been following you guys for quite some time now, and i guess its about time I share my issue with the rotator cuffs! I've being to multiple Therapists to sort my issue, but none of them really helped get me a permanent solutio. I got my MRI of the right scapula done and it seems I am still pretty clueless about whats wrong. I think i injured myself during my Yoga practice. These are my findings- Rotator cuff tendenitis involving the supraspinatus,Infraspinatus and subscapularis tendons. Minimal subdeltoid and subacromial bursitis. Mild fibro capsular hypertrophy at the acromia clavicular joint. -The findings suggest external impingement in right shoulder joint. Hoping for a solution! Thank you

I've been asking about the throwing motion for 25 years. I hurt my shoulder serving volleyball and throwing softball in grade school and have never been able to play softball since. I recall a P.E. class that I suspect was the last straw. The teacher had us throwing a softball further and further away. I had no weight training so just regular shoulder stability. That was the first time I recall the pain. Making a single softball base throw causes pain and numbness (which goes away after a while.) I don't have shoulder pain except with that motion. It happens even 25 years later if I try again. Time to see if I can strengthen the muscles to allow me to play again!

I may be a little late, but yes, train both sides evenly. Helps correct the injury and keeps the strong arm progressing. When you heal, you can get muscles stronger than before, which is why you balance both sides.

Fantastic videos! I have an impingement, not a tear. For the throwing exercises (and I suppose all of them), what does a small click indicates when I am doing them? That I am progressing too fast? Is that an indication that I have bone spurs? I am a tennis player, 55, and got some degenerative neck damage probably due to bad posture typing on the computer. Are there more exercises for throwing motions? Could you please do a series on that? Thank you.

Elizabeth V depends what stage youre at to be honest. but if you want to be safe, start doing the rotator cuff stuff while lying on your back with a towel supporting the elbow (to make sure its not below the shoulder). basic progression is: do the movments without weights 20 times, if no pain progress to weights but with 10-30s holds x 5, then progress to reps of 10-20 x 2-4 sets.

It's not just the labrum, you also stretched the tendons and ligaments. They don't point that out on the MRI because the surgeon can't fix tendons or ligaments unless they separate. I was in exactly the same boat you are in. Then I visited regenexx and did PRP therapy. In six weeks I got all of my power back and most of my stability. One more treatment and I'm done. $900 a pop, not covered by insurance. Good luck.
