Peru is probably the country with the most history and the most impressive landscapes in South America.

Anyways, let me get right into it. Me and my wife are planning to visit Peru soon (God willing) and would like to know what places to visit. OMG! 💔 I loved the video very much! but although the Peruvian Andes are beautiful, they only represent 23% of the Peruvian territory .. I still need to show all the tropical potential that Peru has with its Amazonian territory, which represents 70% of the total of the Country! In Peru the Amazon is born, in fact it is the 4th country with the most tropical forests in the world and by territorial extension it has more jungle territory than Brazil itself, which only covers 59% of its territory. Visit Peru! 🇵🇪 Love from Peru! 🇵🇪

Did you visit a lot of places there? Me and my wife are planning to visit Peru soon (God willing) and would like to know what places to visit. We wanna stay in a spot that has a lot of green (tropical plants/trees/etc), moving water (waterfalls and/or rivers), hotsprings (this would be a plus so not a dealbreaker), activities and preferably close to the galapagos islands (for quick travel time). @@famo7503 I visited the Historic Center of Arequipa in May 2019. Wonderful place! The weather and food were great. My next trip will be to Lake Titicaca.

Perú is a wonderful country full of amazing sights incredible food and beautiful people. Watching this video makes it so hard we can't travel right now! I just wish We all were movie stars/politicians (they seem to be the only people allowed to travel now) Te amo Perú!

All the reason! I am from Argentina and I am amazed that the enormous biodiversity of the country was not mentioned, which rivals Brazil or Colombia in biodiversity, in the entire American continent there are no more diverse countries, Peru is covered by jungle and tropical areas almost 70% of its territory, much more than Colombia for example, it should be mentioned that the Amazon rises in Peru! for many years it had the largest number of species of birds and butterflies, until the Colombian government had the goal of surpassing Peru and today Colombia has at least more birds (50 birds) since the Peruvian government is in crisis and does not finance more research.

Don’t forget about CARAL and the Peruvian Amazon which occupies 60% of the territory. Peru is more than Machu Picchu, but these ruins along with Cuzco are a ‘must’ visit. ❤️🇵🇪

Iquitos, Peru tons to see and do there.

We've been in Iquitos for over 2 months already and it's incredible!

Wow! Best video that I have seen about Perú. Thanks to touropia. Very well done. Having been to Perú about ten times, I have seen almost all of these locations. My favorite was visiting Chachapoyas and the nearby sites; Kuelap, Gocta Falls, etc. Tell me that the Sarcofagi of Karajia don't resemble the statues on Easter Island(Rapa Nui) ? Strange stuff.

I was shocked to see those statues resembling white men. You can see blonde, blue-eyed Peruvians in the northern mountains, in rural communities, who are not descendants of Spaniards. The Spanish were not the first white men to arrive in Peru.

@@xdnosecomomellamo9723 Dudo que seas Peruano, pero si fuera el caso, vivirías en algún cono de Lima, la vida en ese desierto si es terrible, casas feas, arenales ...los peruanos que llegaron del interior poblaron todos los conos de Lima y viven precariamente siempre no hay desarrollo y la vida es muy dura y fea, los gobiernos poco o nada hacen para frenar las invasiones, gobiernos de Izquierda cabe destacar como el de Vizcarra o Sagasti, pero hay que recalcar que aunque viva mucha gente ahí, no representan al Peru ni un mínimo porcentaje, los arenales de los conos y el panorama de vivir en la nada, solo representan menos del 5% del Peru, el otro 95% es jungla es verde, es amazonas es andes es vida.. ya se comprobó que mas del 70% del Peru es selva y es el país latino e hispano con mas porcentaje de áreas verdes por territorio superando hasta Brasil que tiene cubierto de amazonas solo el 59% porciento de su territorio, entonces no es descabellado pensar que hay turistas que si conocen el Peru y digan que es el país mas bello de America Latina, acuérdate que ellos nunca van a los conos de Lima.. de Miraflores, Cusco y la Selva no pasan.

Took a fantastic tour to Peru. Lima, Cusco, Machu Pichu, Iqutios and Down the Amazon River to an incredibly comfortable resort. Would LOVE to return and see/do more. I wouldn't mind retirement in Mira Flores. Please.

Where are you from

I have been there 20 years ago. Visited and "lived" the top 7 places in the list and I could not agree more with the beauty of those places. However, there are a couple of places missing, certainly top 3 in the list. The "Cordillera Blanca", an amazing place that include the biggest mountains in the country, and magical sites like the Llanganuco Lakes and the Lake Paron. The "Inca Trail" a 4-5 day walking journey crossing the most spectacular natural landscapes and inca ruins.

How much culture, practically in each city of this top ten, they have pre-Hispanic vestiges and ruins is wonderful.

We've travelled to so many places in the world too but never been to Peru... it's been in our bucket list but didn't get the chance to visit yet.. hoping soon, once this pandemic is out!

Same here. We've been wanting to tackle south america but have had to X many places out due to high crime and bad reputation. Peru seems to be one of the few that are actually safe to visit. Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile were other options but it look like Peru is the best one from the feedback I've gotten from everyone I've asked. Not in terms of safety but in terms of beauty, things to do, and places to stay.

​@@famo7503 Lima, as a metropolitan area is not the best place to visit, the food is delicious tho! the main roads are nothing else but aisles of confusion. I live in the north of Peru, a couple hours from the highlands and it's absolutely the opposite. There are so many beautiful places to visit that are still underrated.

Peru more than 5,000 years of history, the oldest city in America, the best gastronomy in the world, more than 30 original cultures that settled in the country, many of them formed powerful states, such as the Chavin, the Wari and of no, the impressive Inca empire! The largest and most organized in pre-Columbian America, that if it weren't for the Europeans today the whole continent would be talking Quechua

fake ! the best gastronomy is mexico! according to unesco! in fact it is Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. title that almost no country tine and the Mayan are much older than the incas, it is not known for sure but they were from 8 thousand years before Christ, in fact it is believed that they were children of the corn ! Mexico has contributed many things to the humidity such as chocolate among many more! where you leave me to the Aztecs!

It's beautiful but most of it is unfortunately crime ridden. We only have a few amount of places as options to visit since the rest are so dangerous. This gives Asia the upperhand. Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Maldives, etc are extremely beautiful places, much nicer than you'd find in South America in terms of jungle, forrest, tropics, etc. However South America would beat them in Mountains, the Mountain and glacier scenery is beautiful in South America but then again not everyone is into seeing Mountains as most look like they prefer tropical land with moving bodies of water and rich green plantation like rain forests, jungles, etc.
