I grew up in a 1950's 2 bedrm apt in Sherman Oaks and then lived in Encino. Encino is not affordable unless you are rich.

In my opinion the top are. 10 Duarte, yes I think Durate is better than every other city that is not on this list. 9 Arcadia 8 Burbank 7 Monrovia 6 Glendale 5 La canada 4 Eagle Rock 3 Altadena 2. Sierra Madre 1. Pasadena Easily.

I'd replace glendale with Ladera heights and woodland hills with monrovia. otherwise list is spot on

La cool. Been here my whole life. Just don’t live near Downtown. Live in Burbank or Pasadena. Some place not far from La downtown. Also outside downtown La is good nature and solid city. Just expensive. But if your broke prolly not a good idea to move to La.
