    The thing I love about Jdrama is it's not as polished as Kdramas Hear me out Most of the things that are shown in kdramas (except for few dramas like startup,Itaewon class,Signal etc) are over exaggerated and sometimes overwhelmingly cringe but I guess that's the charm which gets us hooked to it Now Jdramas are a different thing The lighting,the color grain, acting and most of the aesthetics tries to stay as much closer to the source material or how things usually happens at japan That's what gets hooked me to Jdramas so much,it covers the authenticity of the environment pretty neat and original and actors emotions are so great

  • @Xentradi97

    @Xentradi97

    Actually that's not kdrama or Jdrama thing. It depends on the story and original source it was adopted from. Jdrama adopted from manga are also very exaggerated as kdramas adopted from webtoons, and grounded in reality those that are about everyday life and people. I used to love jdrama from the 90's but not latest ones so much. The story is rather plain and often tend to lecture the auduence about life. In terms of acting i feel jdrama today falls really short. Too many jpop idols who cant act to save themselves getting leading roles. All the top actors and actresses are either old or not getting the opportunities they deserve.

    Perhaps for most people nowadays those dramas cannot be called classic dramas anymore, but ancient dramas. Can you be trusted? what drama is it? I never heard Takuya was in that drama before? Btw Takuya's drama nowadays does not hold water, his acting is still great, the production crew directing and all was great too but the storyline was average. The last Takuya drama which left a mark on my memories is from the classic which you had named before and up to Change & Mr. Brain. After that, the story was just OK. Yeah, Beach Boys is such a great drama too. Those two guys can talk about shit in that drama but I still can be hooked to the screen.

    Why is no one talking about “Long Vacation”?That was one of the best drama of the century.A drama which taught us to find happiness in our own way within ourself instead of hoping it to come from someone else.A drama about the journey, not the destination.

    From that era, there are a lot of gold quality jdrama like tokyo love story, ordinary people, ordinary people, under the same roof, anything for you, and a lot more. That good old drama i still rewatch it sometimes. Except "anything for you", because i can't found it everywhere.

    I’ve seen them all (more than once) except for Liar Game. Adding to my to-do list now lol. Thanks for this. And yes... every one of these is a classic that anyone interested in J-Dramas should check out. Totally recommended!! Hana Kimi and Hana Yori Dango were the first J-Dramas (actually... Asian dramas in general) I ever watched. I watched them at the same time and switched between them. So nostalgic!

    Hana Yori Dango was my favorite version of Boys over Flowers. I loved Jun Matsumoto, Mao Inoue and Oguri Shun. I loved Gokusen too, there were so many of the well known actors of today that was in the few seasons of that too like Jun Matsumoto, Oguri Shun, the wonderful and stunning Kazuya Kamenashi, the late Haruma Miura, gorgeous Jin Akanishi and so many more. Those are the top 2 for me, but I need to mention Todome No Kiss (loved the plot) and A Story to Read When You First Fall in Love (mainly because of Ryusei Yokohama who I adore)

    I love my boss my hero. The comedy is pure gold, sometimes is cringed. But most of the time is entertaining and crack laugh. And the most thing is aragaki yui is soo pure in here, a different characters when she is in dragon zakura. But her best performance is in papa to musume no nanokakan.
