Others mod that are worth mentioning are, Bullseye: it improves the vanilla aiming system by making it more challenging, realistic and fun to use instead of a spam type of shoots; Better Drifters (and/or the Wasteland path), it makes the actual enemies in the game more intimidating and hard to fight with but in exchange you get more rewards; and the three mods of Fauna of the Stone Age, these three mods add a more variety of wolves, foxes, raccons, deers, jaguars, tigers, etc. Extremely appealing for those who want more creatures that fill more the world.

Such a nice vid! I'm currently finishing my first playthrough and have played vanilla only. I'll probably rest from the game for a while, but as soon as I pick it back up I'll be downloading some of these mods for sure!

If you mean the Conquest mod it's the only worldgen mod that doesn't change that much in terms of worldgen yes it's not the only one but it's the only one that has such a huge width

Awesome video, so glad I came upon this. I enjoy watching VS (can't afford it lol) and coming from Minecraft have always basically been addicted to wilderness survival kinda mods, so VS totally scratches that itch but I didn't know the mods for it can expand it so amazingly!

What about the mods "Fields and Plateaus" and "Plains and Valleys"? They're great for those who want flatter land. I hate building on hills or having to constantly excavate to fit in buildings, fields, and roads.

They make everything look like 1 or like... 4 or 5 environments. The vanilla generation is better comparitively, though I do use a worldgen mod that just smoothes out the vanilla terrain a little.

Hi, please tell me, can I install these mods already on the created world? I have already played about 40 hours in one world and would like to add some mods to ruins, merchants and others that are shown in this video.

You can add betterruins and bettertraders to your world np. The structures will only generate in New chucks that generate with the mods active. You can also easily remove bettertraders again anytime. For BetterRuins the same beside leaving some lore entries that will not show correctly

Do you know what version of Vintage story these mods work best on? I got the game 2 months ago (version 1.18.15) and most of these mods do not work anymore. The only one from this list that I've downloaded and confirmed is working is the Better Ruins mod. Xskills, PetAI, and everything relying on PetAi are giving the error message "unable to resolve mod dependencies". Primitive Survival acts like it works until I load a world. The world runs normally but none of the Primitive Survival mod items appear in game.

late response but, have you checked if the mods that you downloaded are for that version? I have all of them in that version and they work perfectly, if you donwloaded them in the official mod page you can see in the files' window page all the version available, from the most recent to the oldest with their respective compatible version.

How are mp servers done? Is it via a Peer2Peer system? Or do you have to make a actual server for it

The game comes with server hosting tools, so you can host a server on your machine. You can also rent a server if you want. Can't remember if you can host a server in the game itself, not at the PC ATM, and I just use the dedicated server tools anyway.

Is there a terrain smoothing mod VS at all? The blocky terrain gets annoying and kills the immersion for me

From what I know, the default settings can get already pretty. Just the amount of presets for graphics is above standard.

Its a high quality soil, so you normally see low and medium quality,, Terra Petra is darker in colour, very rare, but has an 80 percent soil rate for farming, better nutrients etc. When you find a patch of this, its usually around 10 - 20 blocks, so always grab it all if you farm crops

This is the first time I've ever seen VS mods (I've never played the game) and their existence had convinced me to buy it The logic is: Even if I don't like the game 100%, I can probably change it to my liking (like I do with Minecraft and my 300+ modpack 😅)

I wouldn't say better, but I can definitely say it's fun and currently in a better state of development than Minecraft. When VS gets a bit more flushed out and more modders roll onto the scene I have no doubts that VS will be a excellent game!

This game yearns for Gregification…

Some of these aren't working. Xskills for instance, while a great idea, has serious issues. It hasn't been modified since July 2023 either, with no reply from mod author.

I would love the more classes mod but it is insanely imbalanced. those increased rates are huge. DOUBLE ore drops??

Preta. Terra Preta. Not "Petra".

Almost all of these mods are imbalanced and do not fit into the game. Moreover, as of 02/02/2024, 8/10 of the submitted mods have not been updated to the latest version. And most likely they will never be updated, because they were last updated long before the release of this video.
