10 Auspicious Symbols of Longevity hidden in a Korean Landscape | DECODED Ep 2

Korean collections curator Eleanor Soo-ah Hyun walks you through a Korean landscape, painfully embroidered on 10 silk screens. Although it at first just seems like a very bountiful landscape, every element is incorporating one of the 10 Korean symbols of longevity.

Writing history is the tradition and habit of the ancient Chinese. The history of the ancient Korean Peninsula was written by classical Chinese. This was read for the Chinese and must be approved for the Chinese emperor. This is a record and governance story of Chinese officials and nobles on the ancient Korean Peninsula. In the ancient Korean Peninsula. It was two different ethnic groups. Chinese (Han Ethnic) and Korean (White Clothes Ethnic) Ruler and nobleman (Goguryeo , Baekje, Silla , Goryeo, Joseon ..): Chinese local officials and nobles (royal members, monks, scholars, soldiers, architects, technicians, and their families ...). They are Chinese (Han) and their descendants born in the local area. They have always wore China in China costumes. They speak Chinese language (official and Han dialect) and Chinese characters. They are Chinese officials and represent the Chinese emperor's governance of the ancient Korean Peninsula (朝鮮). Civilians and slaves (Goryeo, Joseon ..only appeared in history after the 13th century): Civilians and slaves are indigenous Koreans (White Clothes Ethnic). They speak Korean language. Long -term banned learning and use of Chinese characters (except a few descendants of mixed with Chinese people). They can only use Korean characters (after the 15th century. Chinese officials and scholars who settled on the Peninsula. Use Chinese characters and Korean language to create "Korean characters".).). Historically. Every Korean king 朝鮮王 and noble clan claim to be the Chinese 漢人( identified by identity). They think the Chinese emperor as their parents. . The official language is Chinese and classical Chinese. Today, Korean ancestors are the indigenous "white clothes Ethnic" recorded in the ancinet Peninsula 朝鮮(today korea area) in history. Their "Ethnic" clothes are pure white (no dyes and patterns) and korean women's clothes to expose nipples. Korean women use their heads to move things. Their language is Korean. Their culture is very primitive and backward (until 1890, Westerners arrived). * Ancient Korea (before 1950) = 朝鮮 (the name of the Chinese region named after the Chinese emperor, located in Korea today). The official language is Chinese language and classical Chinese character(only Chinese on the Ancient Korea朝鮮 can be used). * Modern Korea (after 11950) = 南韓 South Korea & 北韓 North Korea. White clothes Ethnic. The official language is Korean language.

truth in painting : bamboo and pine trees live for more than 100 years, and tortoises also do well. Cranes can also live around 70~80 years in captivity. Sadly, this does not apply to the deer.

Taoism and Daoism are words that mean the same philosophy, just different version of writing it - Taoism was the pre-20th century anglicisation of the word but it has been reconized that Daoism is a more accurate representation of the proper oriental pronounciation.

The Random House Dictionary of the English Language entry for "deer" is as follows: deer (d[e with a macron over it I can't find on my keyboard]r), n., pl. deer (occasionally) deers. So when one refers to two or more deer, one would normally write or say "deer" but occasionally one might say "deers." Such an occasion might occur when one is writing poetry and needs a word that rhymes with "clears" or "fears" or the like.

@@barbiebarbie1813 There's no such thing as Hanren in those times, if official language is Chinese, why do Korean embassaries need translators and interpretors to speak to Chinese? The white clothes was a modern term for commoners in Joseon Korea. Korean Hanbok has dyes, are you dumb? Joseon was named after Gojoseon, that is recorded as first kingdom in Chinese books.
