Papyrus knows about them. He makes the comment about public transit if you call near one of his/her spots. I think the one in Snowdin, but I'd have to pull up my game to see the quote for sure.

For the Chara one, it's because when you kill a monster, it's Chara's LV that goes up, not Frisk's. Chara even confirms this on the no mercy run.

But she destroys the world cause you already killed *everyone* in it. I (just like you) mean no offense stating this I'm just covering her case.

I'd like to point out you yourself, in the past, stated that 'ruined castle' in the overworld is almost certainly the city Papyrus drove his bed-car through. A bit disappointed there wasn't anything new to me here, but I guess that's the nature of only having one game.

Pretty sure that castle is a city, but the monsters still could've built it.

@@cheesecake4334 Or the fact that the mirror in genocide speaks in chara text, while in the pacifist line is a being intimately familiar enough with monster kind to give detailed summaries of capabilities and lore. There aren't many beings it can PHYSICALLY be. Most of the beings with the requisite knowledge are accounted for.

In the undertale art book, tiny fox mentioned that the unused robot sprite was from when he originally planned to have robots scattered around Hot Land, but for mettaton was created as a character, it stopped making sense to have so many robots, because they would have overshadowed his importance as a character.

AJ Play The only bit of information i have seen recently about Gaster was when Underlab mentioned a UT card approved by Toby Fox that depicted Gaster with the WingDings hands and stuff. Whether this was made for the fans or is canon to the game is still unknown, it's all left to interpretation.

I have a theory. Chara is always there. By that, I mean, she’s even there in pacifist. For example, when froggit says ‘ribbit ribbit’ Chara understands it, and she translates for us. In genocide, she gets corrupted by the player, and you can see her, but in pacifist, she doesn’t get corrupted by determination, so she stays good. Everyone says ‘Oh, Chara, she’s the bad guy in the story’ but for reals, she’s not. AAAAND before you say ‘Chara doesn’t have a gender, check your facts’ Toby Fox himself said that Chara was a girl. So..... check your facts. Edit: I have come back to apologize. I was wrong. Seriously wrong. Chara is not a girl, they don’t have a gender. I don’t know if people have seen this already but I’m really sorry for being so blatantly oblivious and wrong. I’m sorry for any arguments I may or may not have caused. Also, there are some confusion about the red text is Chara who said that. Actually, it was Frisk. Bunch of clues are: *(It's me.) -reveal that the red text when you checked on the mirror is Frisk. *(Where are the knives.) -Frisk is searching some knives to kill Monsters. *(No chocolate.) -Suprisingly, in neutral route, if you checked the fridge in new home, Chara said, *(bunch of things... i dunno) probably saying there is no chocolate mentioned. So, Frisk actually said something that there is no chocolate. *(Feels comfortable.) -If you checked like, a room before Throne's room, there is bunch of...grave place? With bunch of different SOULS. So, why Frisk said feels comfortable (not accurate text maybe.) ? Maybe Frisk saying that monsters they killed comfortable if they putted all the dust into this kind of grave... Another off topic. Yay.

I don't have any good answer or theory on that. If you name yourself Chara, they would absolutely remind Chara like Flowey,Asriel and Chara. Only 3 characters. (Oh yeah and the...Tape thing?) If you name the fallen human like 'Sam','Nerd','Papaya'... The name Chara they remind replaced by that name. The answer: They never remind Chara if you not name the fallen human Chara.

About chara, when you pause the game, the stats show a small screen with the name you had choosen, but then, at the right there is another menu with the same stats and the weapon/armor that "chara" has. Notice that in these menus, there is chara, and "chara". Possibly meaning that "chara" is frisk and chara togheter. While out of combat you control frisk, in combat you control chara, thats why the name appears without saying "chara". It could be more likely that chara was the one who fights or gives mercy. Thats why undertale adresses frisk and chara as "they"? Since "they" is "chara"?

5:36 I spent 2 hours. on that. The trophy you get for completing it is literally called "Don't you have anything better to do?" But I got the platinum trophy tho

The dog shrine is actually in the Nintendo switch version! Except this time it’s ruined and damaged, which begs the question ‘Are different platforms different universes that are set in different times?’ Like in the pc version of Undertale, it’s the first version, the earliest time. The PS4 version is the second earliest time, and the Nintendo version is the latest version, the version set the latest.

That shrine you talked about- it’s in Undertale Nintendo Switch. It allows a special Nintendo Switch Boss.

This is old but I have a theory on naming chara: in the genocide route you teach them to kill is right. Now in the pacifist route you hear chara wasn’t exactly the nicest person but still ok. In the pacifist route they make a new name for themselves; frisk. Oh yeah, I think chara came back through determination in a different form.

This is a comment I made in an earlier video an sense I'm earlier I show it to those who missed it. I've got a theory. People have questioned what happens when a monster and a human have children. I think I got a good idea what happens......... UNDYNE IS WHAT HAPPENS! Or at least her race is. It would explain why she can produce and use Determination, and just think of the irony of how much Undyne hated humans. Also out of all of the bosses Undyne looks the most like a human, by the way Mettaton doesn't count because he is a Ghost like Napstablook then got a robotic body. Anyway that's just a suggestion.

Actually, all monsters can produce Determination. If you look at the logs in Alphys' lab, she mentions something about Monsters not being able to handle high levels of Determination because they lack physical substance. She had also mentioned that Determination was the basic will to live, so any living thing that can think and make choices has Determination (take Flowey for example). Therefore, all Monsters have some amount of Determination. Gerson also mentioned that Undyne became Captain of the Royal Guard through "sheer grit and determination," so I guess that the reason why Undyne can produce so much Determination during the Genocide route is because she is more determined than most Monsters. In the Genocide route, she became so determined to stop you that she started producing even more. She was able to harness so much Determination for a little while, but it eventually becomes too much, which is why she melts. I do like the Human/Monster theory though. I even have a theory for how Humans and Monsters can have kids. :)

Rozu777 But why can Undyne process so much more than everyone else, how come no other monster can use that much, also Underlab said mentioned in his video theorizing why everything goes white in an undertale battle, that one of his supporting facts in his theory was that almost every boss in the game has white on them, except for Undyne. His only explanation was that Undye uses mostly physical attacks and less magic compared to most monsters. As a matter of fact, this color speculation holds evidence for my theory, that almost every boss has white on them, except for Undyne, who has another important color on her, her RED hair which as we've seen is the color of DETERMINATION. I really wish the game would explain more of Chara's story. She had such a happy life before, but chose to cut it short so Asriel could leave the barrier. Then she can be brought back to life by going on a murderous rampage. Was she always a violent sociopath even when living with the royal family? Or does her spirit know about what happened to Asriel and want revenge or something

In switch version the dog shrine is replaced to a place where you can fight a mew mew kissy cutie doll

As for Chara being always present - remember that in Genocide Run, Chara calls self "the demon that comes when people call its name." - so in other words - player's by naming the Fallen Child quite literally bring Chara back.

Not canon. Sorry. Toby is not approved that. Also. I have seen a Theory about Sans' sleep. As you can see, the Z font is Aster. Well not really. Z from sans' sleep in genocide and Z aster font is not same at all. Make a research and look carefully. Also, Sans and Papyrus never know who Gaster is. (Theory) Royal Scientist Gaster, had fall into his creation right? But thats not it. Was Sans and Papyrus born on that time? Maybe and no. Chara Fall into the underground in 201X Maybe the CORE is not made yet. Chara never met Papyrus and Sans, Alphys,Undyne etc. They just met the encounter monsters, (migosp,froggit,night knight,etc.) And the dreemurr family. After Chara died, ASGORE start to hired someone and that was Gaster many years later. Then, CORE were made. After that , Gaster had fell into his creation. That was not it, theres more. In Papyrus nickname 'coolskeleton95', Papyrus might born in 2095. Papyrus never met human before.. and then Sans, maybe born in 2080s. That was after Gaster death. They did not know who Gaster is.. but, GASTER BLASTER? Maybe Sans,Alphys, made a research about that and Sans used it. Then, he gives the gb to papyrus (papyrus also had gaster blaster.. he mentioned when u dont want to fight with him anymore.. "YOU MIGHT BEEN BLASTED TO.") Confusing, right? This is why u need...to understand. Gaster is dead. Sans and pap born after his death. They find out the gaster blaster where gaster used it. They take the power. And boom. Solved, gaster is not sans and paps father.

Sometimes im wondering... Why Sans and Papyrus born AFTER Gaster fall into his creation?

2 years have gone by, thank you Underlab for making me still a fan of Undertale, thank you!

Another thing is that on the Nintendo Switch version there is a room under the sink and Sans’ and Papyrus’s house. There is a locked door, and after you fight metaton the lock falls off and you can open it. You then see a life size Mew Mew Kissy Cutie doll there. When you fight her the joycons are used since your soul is split in two to dodge the attacks. You can’t beat her though, since she just kills you and you respon in front of the kitchen. I found it when I got the game and thought it was pretty cool.

Chara's name appearing in the epilogue could be tied in to the fact that EarthBound is Everywhere. The thing is, in EarthBound, even after you naame the main cast, the character Tony will make several calls to you, asking for things like your name, which isn't used until the ending. You name a character who is not you, and you name you, but at the start, you think them to be the same in both cases.

I believe it is up to the player's interpretation and that you shouldn't discourage other people's point of view by stating something obvious as saying it's not canon, unless Toby Fox says it isn't then whatever you want the missing info to be doesn't have to be untrue. Besides, that makes WAY much more sense if you consider how they're very similar, are connected always, the narrator has some personality and can be optimistic (pacifist) or pessimistic (genocide) and that Asgore tells the player how they remind him of the human that fell long ago and also Asriel mistakes you for Chara in the pacifist run. Since there's no cannon info about where did Chara's soul ended, it may have gotten out after Asriel and Chara died and eventually ended up on a new human years later. But that's just a theory... -A GAME THEORY! THANKS FOR WATCHING!-

for the last one, there’s a secret room you can get from the game files where you interact with someone catching a bug, but the first line is “Can you do something about your friend? The one with the creepy smile”

I never thought the 98 robot was an early design for Mettaton. My personal theory is that there could've been a removed Mettaton basketball / sports scene during the course of hotland. The 98 really does look like a basketball number, if you think about it. There are a few hints to this. 1: The basketball on the MTT news scene. 2: In papyrus' dating scene, we see his "cool dude" basketball outfit. Notably, the oo on the shirt are the only neatly written letters, implying papyrus was number 00 on a basketball team somewhere.

THEORY: maybe Chara and Frisk are related because when Chara died she became a ghost and then the other children cane but they died but then Frisk came and Chara tells us about the characters like their ATk and HP but thats just a theory a game theory!

Fun Fact: In the Nintendo Switch version, instead of being able to donate GOLD to upgrade the shrine, the Dog Shrine appears abandoned and destroyed with a door colored red and blue, the colors of Switch's Joy-Con controllers, in the middle of the north wall of the room. It is sealed with a lock that naturally falls off after making significant progress in the game. All of the stuff (The Wiggle Thing, The Boombox, The Blueprints) Have Been Ruined With The Temple Destroyed.

Have you ever wondered about... where does the food come from in undertale? I know the mtt resort food is mostly serin, glue and glitters, but what about cinnamon buns? The bread for hot dogs and cats? The meat, ketchup and bread for Grillby's burger? Where would the wheat necessary for the bread even come from? The dump? Indeed, when you look at the different areas, none seem prone to agriculture, the ruins being sealed off, snowdin being cold, waterfall being swampy and the capital being pretty much all buildings. Besides, wouldn't those plants need sunlight to grow? The only plants we know of that managed to survive in the underground are the tree in the ruins (which is a mistery in and of itself), the mushrooms and seaweeds in waterfall and finally the golden flowers, which feed off the rare natural light. Any thoughts on this disturbing topic? What are they actually making us eat?

Is it just me or UNDERTALE is kind of dead? I don't mean it's not a good game I just think it's getting "old"

About Undertale being connected to Earthbound, in the code of the game there is a line that is EXACTLY the same as in a area in Earthbound: Moonside. In Earthbound you can select your favourite food, and this character in Moonside would insult it, saying he hates it. In Undertale, the line is said but the food is “bepis”

I think I know why Chara's name is on the stats menu. At some point during the game if you have a certain amount of LV, if you look in a mirror, the narrator will say "It's me, Chara". This leads me to believe Chara is the narrator for Undertale. And at the end of the no mercy run, Chara will describe themselves as 'the feeling you get when a number increases'. Some people use this as evidence to say that Chara is the embodiment of LOVE, but I don't think this is true. Their name is on the stats menu, so they are the one who gets the LV from our murders. So they aren't LOVE itself, but we are feeding it to them. I just pretty much quoted a theory from Judgement Boy, but I honestly fully agree with that one. Hope this helped :3

I did not have any idea that Sans and Papyrus have a possible grandfather. That is so interesting. I want to try drawing what I imagine he could look like.

So in the other versions, i know that its in the switch version, all that stuff is rotted and dead, and the shrine is replaced with a locked door.

As some people see chara’s soul to possibly power the core, and like the guy speaking abt this said, human souls don’t disappear after death, but if chara had a determination soul.. 1. Determination souls are rare that’s why frisk was the last one and the only red soul shown in undertale 2. If chara had a determination soul then they could’ve reset when them and asriel died, and taken control, killed the other 6, and freed the monsters much earlier, preventing things like the gaster incident, or asgores will to kill 7 humans 3. Presumably, determination souls are in position of control from players, due to the reset button given to them, now most ppl would want to get the good ending first, but then ppl will do a *bad ending* what if undertale the game that we’ve played takes place after someone who’s done the bad ending in charas time of life(when chara was alive) Thank you for coming to my ted-talk *(p.s the last reason didn’t do with the other two reasons, I just put it out there as a thought)*

People sometimes don't notice that the statue in waterfall (The statue that you use to complete the piano puzzle) is his theme

That castle at the end is a city, I used to think I was a castle, but the game takes place in 20XX which implies that it takes place in modern times, and there aren't very many castles nowadays.

The two other guards were programmed but he had no other place to put them Also the robot was one of the other robots originally put in hotlands but toby decided it would he weird to have robots besides mettaton (Information found in the art book)

#5, that might explain Azriel's sudden return as flowey (albeit without a soul...) Because his soul was already tied to Chara's, and if Chara's soul was used for the determination that his flower was awakened with, maybe it had something to do with his consciousness returning?

In the switch version, the dog shrine is replaced by a red and blue door, and at the end of the game, you go back and fight "mad mew mew " which is mad dummies ghost inside of a doll.

My theory for the chara thing is that when asriel and chara came back ‘she is dead’ and and asriel dies. One of the flowers she was laying got fought on her and started growing. Thus explaining the flowers. The flowers fed of charts body like fertaliser, and her skeletal remains getting buried with her conscience also being buried. When frisk fell down, they had a very high DT and because chara also had a red soul ‘another theory’ it was awakened and continued to exist in frisk, the dialogue on the bottom of the screen is actually chara a soul communicating with you. When you kill all the monsters, there is enough power for her to come back. Juuust a theory tho.

Hold on hold on the statue in waterfall has a deeper story! The statue was once in that mettaton statue’s place and the Matt resort used to be the dreemur place but then they took the statue out and put it in waterfall. Also here’s a tip if you wanna play undertale with the statue just stay near the statue and then once your around it enough the answer will show at the top of the screen also the statue’s song is called “his theme” which is little asreil’s theme and there’s a music box in the statue that activates if you do something kind near it also the statue is also another way for gaster to see because the statue used to be colored then gaster touched it through the void and he can see out of it. Boom some stuff he missed on the statue I have more but I don’t want to bore you

The game earth bound welp fun fact all this undertale stuff and characters were gonna be in there but then they just didn’t and Toby made a game on the characters he worked hard on. So easier terms Toby made most of the music and characters in undertale to be in earth bound but it didn’t work out so Toby made a game with all of it. Also another fun fast Toby made all his music by himself and its original.

I am also gonna explain frisk and chara but to do that we gotta go wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back to the beginning. Chara climes mount. Ebott to commit suicide but while climbing it she trips and falls into the underground, Asriel finds her and helps her, he gets his parents (toriel and asgore) they helped her but they hid there tools or knifes from her because she would cut herself or even try and kill herself. And one day chara and asriel were trying to make a pie for their parents as a thank you thing but one ingredient was buttercups... they didn’t know those were poisonous and when asgore tried it, he got sick. Chara started laughing but not because she wanted it to happen it’s because she was laughing the pain away which many other monsters do. Chara wanted to see the golden flowers that were in a village so she told asriel the plan, asriel went along with it. Chara then ate the buttercups she died very painfully and when she finally died asriel obtained her soul and crossed the barrier while he was in the golden flower village on the way back he got shot by humans and died when he crossed back into the barrier. Then now comes frisk... years past frisk was climbing mount ebbot because she heard the site at the top was glorious and worth the climb. But when she climbed she tripped and fell into the underground, and chara’s soul was stuck in the underground but when frisk entered they both had a determination soul and chara entered frisk’s body. Now chara doesn’t interfere much on the pacifist route but on the genocide route she indeed lay does. She was never evil until frisk came, frisk was the one who killed every monster but 3 because when frisk faced sans frisk was too slow and chara interfered at the end frisk tries to kill him but when he dodges chara strikes and she succeeds. Then they face asgore who talks about flowey crying and how he has never seen a flower cry but then flowey kills him then after that chara is so mad at flowey that she kills him and strikes him a lot. Then you see and meet chara, she actually turned evil by the monsters hate frisk caused then frisk blames chara for possessing her and killing monsters but that’s not true. Now you may be like how can chara get the monsters hate? Well that’s because when asriel crosses back into the barrier with chara’s soul he died and chara was filled over her limits with hatred to the humans but she then lost that for being around for years but when frisk started killing chara felt hatred for frisk and chara absorbed the monsters hate. Also fun fact about chara, she absolutely loves chocolate. And also chara’s soul at the end of genocide turns to the hate soul. Anyways that is chara and I can go way way way way way way way way deeper into her story but I already wrote enough so yup hope ya learned a lot!
