@@HayaTzuyu no. Theoretically things can be perpetual if there's no energy loss(in the case when energy is given only in the beginning or there's energy being supplied continuosly, like in this case from the lamp. This paper will keep spinning till the lamp is on.

567legodude yeah, but didn't they make the huge piece of paper from multiple other ones? I very loosely remember tiny parts of the episode, so I'm not sure, but I thought that was how they got the biggest paper. And if that's how they got the paper, it's obvious why they could fold it so many times. If you tape two papers together, you can fold it, no matter what the size. So I'm pretty sure you can fold it.

Mathematically, folding 9 times means that you compress 512 times of the original thickness of the paper into a piece, which is impressive for a little girl to achieve. And yes, having a thin paper definitely helps

I think the impossible fold is that no SQUARE piece of paper, irrelevant of size, can be folded equally more than 7 times

I can't believe I wasted six minutes of my life watching this , I kept waiting for the amazing part.

Mythbusters disproved the myth of not being able to fold a sheet of paper more then 7 times. They took a large piece of paper and folded it well over 7 times, though I don't recall how many times they were able to fold it. Other then that, great video!
