Don't the fresh leaves and flowers turn brown? I ask cause I see so many people say it's a no-no to use fresh anything in resin.

unless you leave them to dry for a few days then put them in resin

I am new to this - supplies just got here. Can you tell me where to purchase decent necklace chains? Also, what size/coloor is most common? I assume Silver but want to be sure. I know 18" is thee common length but have no idea about thickness.

Probably craft stores like hobby lobby or craft sections of places like Walmart and the dollar store. You can probably order some online.

Silver usually and sometimes gold, kinda depends on your color palate rose gold is pretty common too. The thickness depends on the thickness of what you created and basically what you would think looks best. It also would depend on what the purpose of what you made is. Jewelry would probably have a thinner chain but if your design is big a bigger chain might be better. Decorations would probably have somewhere in between thick and thin. Key chains would probably have a pretty thick chain. Usually, the thicker the chain, the shorter it size

You have to use fried flowers otherwise they'll change colour coz of the moisture
