If you shift with the umbrella you should be able to place it open on the ground as a decorative block as well

you can try installing the mod called "jade" which shows the name of the blocks you look at, very useful on showcase vids!

Right now I have a modpack with chipped and framed and I feel like those two are the best combo for building. Chipped basically makes every block in the game have 10-20 or more variants and then with framed you can turn each block variant into something else, like stairs or a ladder or smth. It’s so cool ngl 😭😭
