Always loved the Yes Album and no Rick Wakeman in sight. Excellent in every way. If you haven't heard the Friday Music 45 set, it's even better and I'm not a big fan of 45RPM reissues but this one shines, even clearer, looking into the performance, you would think Steve Howe is performing "The Clap" in your space, his footfalls so clear at first I thought it was a scratch. If you like Cobham, check out "Crosswinds" LP. I use the cut "Storm" a short but powerful drum solo as one of my reference recordings on a very ordinary pressing, simply explosive. Must play loud! P.S., I remember your cleaning videos from years ago and didn't know that you were still around.

My Mom-in-Law saw Zappa on that Roxy/elsewhere tour, & was one of the gals who tried to dance with their freaky noodling onstage. My partner always said that she'd danced with Zappa & I was always like, "Coooool" but a couple years later when I realized that she was dancing during *that* section it was a major 😳🤯🤩🤩🤩 moment. She saw Iggy Pop roll around in peanut butter, too. Cool lady, that Mom-in-Law.

The German version of Smash Hits was where I first heard 51st Anniversary. I was stationed in England and Had heard Are You Experienced, Axis As Bold As Love, and Electric Ladyland. The German Smash Hits contains single A Sides as well as a few B sides too boot. Returning to the US, I was relegated to the US version of Smash Hits and I went on a search to find 51st Anniversary. I finally found it on a CD reissue of Are You Experienced? Boy Did That Make My Day. I have the vinyl issue of Roxy and Elsewhere, but I play the Barking Pumpkin CD reissue of it almost endlessly.

That Yes has shifted to my favorite/most played album too. Too few (if any) ever show BOC. Great album, and band! Have you heard Buck Dharma's 'Flat Out'? I hated that Devo freebie cassette from the RCA Music Club so bad I recorded over it, now I regret it. Love their videos. Are you a Spark's or Residents fan? Zappa has grown on me after seeing '200 Motels'. I prefer his complex proggy excursions of virtuosic genius with his band mates.

@@BillsBoxOfSound Wonderful, sure seemed logical. Dharma was a curiosity grab, and though perhaps not BOC par level, still fun. I thought their earlier studio sound needed more expansive sound to liven their deserving songs' impact as heard later. Thanks Bill, and congrats on your new album, I'll check all three out!

Thanks for watching, Ron! I like how you show a lot of obscure 70's and 80's psych and prog LPs that have a lot more musicianship going on under the surface(Example: "Ben", Vertigo, 1971). But of course you remember to respect the basic repertoire. Stay cool yourself! LOL😄😎
