I have just taken the IELTS speaking exam (at British Council) a few hours ago. I have no idea about the regulations of the speaking exam in other countries, but from what I have experienced today, I must say it is as if being back against the corner inside a police interrogation room. I want to share with you guys my experience taking the test here in Vietnam. 1. The whole thing is a psychological warfare. Most of the questions were fairly easy, with enough practice you could ace most if not all of them. However, my IELTS examiner is clearly a seasoned interrogator in his home country, he did everything he could to tick me off such as staring at me weirdly at times, rolling his eyes once in a while, the tone of his voice made me feel uneasy as well. 2. To stack on top of the psychological effects the examiner was casting, it was as if the whole room interior was specifically designed to make you feel as uncomfortable as humanely possible. It is definitely the smallest room I have ever set foot in, even smaller than the local 7 11 toilet we have over here. In addition, the room was giving a weird smell, similar to the one you would smell when traveling on an airplane, I was expecting to hear the air turbulence alarm rings any minute. 3. Aside from the examiner sitting in front of me asking questions, there's another one behind me, that's 3 grown adults sharing a space that's roughly the quarter of plus sized model. 4. I was required to wear a face mask upon arrival, apparently Covid is still a thing to the British Council. You're required to speak continuously throughout the speaking test, yet now you're wearing a face mask, how are they expecting us to catch our breath when our mouth and nose are covered with a thick layer of fabric. Oh yeah and the comically small room made the whole thing harder for you to breathe. At this point, it wasn't IELTS speaking test, it's literally a qualification test to find astronauts. However, I managed to pull myself together, and I must say I did pretty well, I expect an 8, if lucky it might be an 8.5, if not then i'll be fine with a 7 or 7.5. I'll be taking the paper-test for Listening, Writing and Reading this Saturday.

My take on this is that your lessons are riveting and unsurpassed. Even if a student has an aversion to foreign languages, he should try your meticulous method and indulge in one of your English courses. The ubiquitous use of the English language nowadays must be a reason to get a good level of it , so that we can find the discrepancies between automatic translation and our own interpretation of a text. Don't waste your time in futile online courses, try Keith's pervasive method! I don't know if I used the words properly. I think they have a Latin root, being very similar to Italian. The only one I don't use in my native language when I speak is ubiquitous. Thank you for your videos!❤

Back in the day, I wrote a riveting book. The first chapter was surprising and intriguing but the following four chapters were almost gothic and I indulged in the description of the main caracther's inner state, with realism and imaginative empathy. Usually I have an adversion to noir books but I was experiencing a sad moment of my life and writing was so liberating! According to Jung we must completely live our grief to overcome it. I gave my book to some friends in order to have their opinion and they said that my stile in reveting their attention was unsurpassed. I tried to avoid discrepancies in my narration thus I imagined exactly the scenes, the carachters, the episodes and their logical development. I didn't prolongue the descriptions with futile details: it would be boring. I am meticulous in correcting mistakes (in my language I can) and in adjusting style/managing the right atmosphere. The sensation to understand the female carachter's spirit was pervasive just as the familiarity with some common sensations was ubiquitous. I hope to master this language one day! 🤗📝📒📚Thank You immensely, Sir Keith.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🍀🍀🌼🌺☕I've just realized that I was not yet subscribed to Your precious Channel: I subscribed immediately! I indulge in Your videos very often!🙏🏻🙏🏻🍀🌼🌺☕🌻🌻🌻🌻❤

My take on the importance of these words is that, not only will using of these words meticulously and pervasively in our daily conversations lead to better results in in our ielts exams, but they will also make our communication with others reveting. If advanced vocabulary is ubiquitous and pervasive in your English, your level of English maybe unsurpassed. On the other hand, if you fail to use them in your ielts, you may end to have a futile result.

Many people used to have an aversion to learning foreign languages, especially due to the huge discrepancy btw textbook and real, spoken language. I was almost the only one who e.g. enjoyed learning German back at school, but mostly due to the various methods I started to use outside of school. Luckuly, today there are so many wonderful youtube channels and online courses we can indulge in. For German, I highly recommend Easy German channel.
