@@richardsanchez9190 The only reason MOTU "Revelation"was crated was because the "200X" series got cancelled. So if fans aren't going to support a show that was pretty much like the OG Filmation series (only better), then of course they're going to try something new like "Revelation".

Also, Michael Jay Fox has shown interest in the role of Al for a while. He just needs the rest of the cast, a Producer (big one), and the Cash.

Spawn will always be my favorite,and the hands down best anti-hero. No need for jokes or extraterrestrial origin. Just a homegrown badass with a moral compass.

John Leguizamo as The Violator was the best casting. He stood incredibly in that movie and helped Michael Jai carry the movie.

There were a lot of production issues with the movie as well, it was rushed through editing before it was polished enough, same thing happened to the second Mortal Kombat movie, new line cinema rushed them as a quick cash grab instead of letting the cgi teams polish their product. Jurassic Park came out before these, and has cg that still holds up pretty well, but then again it also had a way bigger budget than Spawn or Mortal Kombat Annihilation

Spawn always was and will be my favorite "superhero" just based off uniqueness in design and art style. Spawns swag is practically untouched tbh.

I think you made a mistake on The Violater, he has limited shape shifting power and he is stuck with that clown form originally as punishment from Malbogia for goofing off to much with his duty.

The Billy Kincaid story arc was the reason I wasn't allowed to read Spawn for years.

They're in pre-production for one as we speak... Todd McFarlane has said that it's gonna be more horror focused this time around, and it is all but confirmed that Jamie Foxx has been signed to take on the role of Al Simmons.

Not with the script they used. I actually had fun with the movie, but it just came up short in too many ways. Didn’t need to see him in hell, which they didn’t have the budget to pull off.

@@joshwright4799 Malebogia, no contest. Spawn power levels go way beyond standard DC levels. There aren't a billion planets in the Spawn universe. Well, there are, but everything is basically planet based. Malebogia is basically Galactus level, so... phantom stranger level at least.

The real Al Simmons is super cool. I met him at the Mcfarlane Toy Store in Tempe,Az without even knowing he ran it. So it was a nice surprise and him, his wife, and a guy named Richard were awesome and made me feel welcome and spoiled hahaha. This was back in 2006 I believe. :)

Billy Kincaid, Malebolgia and Mammon are my favorite villains in the Spawn universe. I wouldn't call Urizen a "villain", he's more like something else, an entity with no objective, no side, but he's cool too.

I don't care what anyone says about that spawn movie, it's worth watching just for John Lequizamo as the violator

man... when I was 13 years old, my friend and I went to theatre to watch spawn the 1st day it came out. We thought it was the best movie ever created. I think we rewatched it twice that day.

Spawn issue 5 was truly groundbreaking. I had never seen or read a comic like that. Billy Kincaid was truly scary because we see people like him in the real world. We work with them, drive by and walk right by them.

People don’t realize how awesome this was. A badass black superhero from a comic company that came out of NOWHERE that climbed so fast… so far… changed comics forever and then faded away. Image had a LOT of great titles

The fact that the clown violator is also the actor who is in John wick that fixes up the car and plays the sloth in the ice age franchise always blows me away.

It's clearly a "M". At first it was assumed that it stood for *Malebolgia* , but it was later revealed that it actually comes from *Mammon* ... Then again, I took a break from Spawn a bit after 200 issues were out (when Al Simmons did, well, you know...), and right now there's more than 300 issues out, so who knows what that M stands for now? Not me, sadly

I always forget that the woman that played Priest was also Julie in Return of The Living Dead 3.

This video was great! Made me remember a lot of those characters and realize that Spawn probably has one of the greatest rogues gallery in all of comics, after only Batman and Spider-man, in my opinion!

Special Mention: Overtwar, John Sansker, Antonio Twistelli , and Cygor.

Spawn is one movie I would love to see remade. The original movie gets shat on for the poor CGI and special fx. I really enjoyed it when it premiered. Fingers crossed for a GOOD remake sometime in the near future 🤞🤞

The animated series was 2nd to none. When I saw the live action movie it ALMOST made me cry. The Billy Kincaid from the comic was changed to the Martin Sheen president character. That change alone made the movie impossible to be as interesting & spooky.

Even with the bad CGI, the one thing Malebolgia had going for him was being voiced by Frank Welker.

We need a new Spawn animated series.

Fine zombie girl on the left of the thumbnail was from Return of the Living Dead pt. 3. She's not part of Spawn, last I checked.

One of my favourites. About time we brought Spawn back...

I love the whole story and lore of Spawn, I didn't get to watch the show when I was younger, but I loved the movie, no matter what other people think of it, and I hope one day they do another one now that we have such advanced CGI, it would be so awesome, I'm going to go back and watch that animated series, and I think they made some animated movies after the live action movie, I need to watch them also, I did have some of the comics, so awesome!

Spawn animated is such a deep series. Very good writing story and characters

I've always loved spawn and think with the next gen systems a truly epic game could be made and movies we need a resurgence of spawn and if they can get the orginal actor or even keith Davidson to do it it would be epic

Given the advancements in movies i would love to see a remake of Spawn.

I think it would have been worth mentioning that the clown appearance (in the books) was said to be a punishment for failure and as close to human form as he can get. Read about that years ago.

Can we give a shout out to John Leguizamo for his excellent portrayal of the violator and I hope he comes back to do the next one

Hell yeah! We still have a 18 inch ( I think, its tall) spawn action figure with the chains hanging! Kept it through all my moves and addictions. And it still brings me joy

Keith David will always be Spawn lol the animated series gets good. Even if your not a cartoon person it's an awesome and wild rollercoaster.

Spawn is my favorite all time Super Villan/Hero. I started consuming Image Comics because of the premium quality. Glossy thick pages and exquisite art. It was the best. But when I saw Spawn #1 in that shelf I needed it. My body gravitated straight to it. And it didn't disappoint at all. From there I just wanted to read more and more.

Alan Moore's 'Violator' series and ' Spawn: Blood Feud' are books that deserve a second look. Heartless John a.k.a. John Sansker deserves a look.

Spawn needs a new animated series that’s tv-ma like the Harley or invincible, or a new movie like the Deadpool ones but actually rated R He is seriously such a dope character that doesn’t get enough attention. Him getting put in MK11 is the only reason I still play😂

I’m so glad they are releasing 50 book compendiums, I was a little young for Spawn when it came out so being able to read them all is awesome, I just hope they come out with the off shoot series as well
