pls make a playlist of forgotten gems of the PS2 theres a bunch of great titles in the PS2 era that needs a comeback or remake like the Onimusha series in particular, God of War wouldnt be as popular as it is if it werent for Onimusha bcoz David Jaffe even mentioned that💁🏻‍♀️💯

Unfortunately besides the main characters the voice acting is horrible.

Control is a AAA title, with a strategy guide made by future press and with more budget than quantum break. Agree on every other titles though, good choice 👍

Control only had a 30 million budget and very little marketing. Control 2 will be AAA based on its success and the success of Alan Wake 2. But by definition Control is a AA title.

AA games are unironically better than a lot of AAA.

Other Double AA titles people should check out are Vampyr The Surge 1 and 2 Elex 1 and 2 Greedfall Mars Wars Logs and Technomancer Darkersiders 1, 2 and 3 Rements from the Ashes Get Even Chernobylite Risen 1, 2 and 3 Banshiers Atomic Hearts Wild Hearts Biomutant Maneater These are the games i can think of in the top of my head. There are plenty more if you are looking to buy Double AA games.

@@germanCouchWarrior There are a lot more but i can't remember all of them in the top of my head. I love Double AA titles more then Indies and Triple AAA games. A lot of them tend to be janky but provide the traditional experience you are looking for in games.

One underrated AA is definetely Immortals of Avuem. I really recommend this to anyone who likes FPS games and wizard games.

Saw it has an update coming up with some additions including an HDR rework on PS5. I have it but will wait to try and get into it till then

Alone in the Dark (2024) and Outcast A New Beginning (2024) are recent AA games worth recommending. The Sinking City (2019) and Sherlock Holmes Chapter One (2021) are other very notable AA games. Evil West is fantastic, one of the most fun games I've played in recent years.

I just got done with evil west and robo cop and had a blast with them. I played chorus about a year ago, we don't get enough unique games like that. I wanna play plauge tales.

Man, I really hope we get a Lost in Random sequel.

For Star Trek fans, might I suggest Star Trek: Resurgence. It is probably the best Star Trek game ever made. The game was made by Dramatic Labs, a company made up of former Telltale devs.

Liking and commenting for you guys mentioning Lost in Random. A true hidden gem of a game. Underrated is an understatement.

Control also has a lot of lore scattered around, some of which is (loosely) based on actual events. The explosion the fridge survived in "Fridge Duty" was an actual event, and the Havana embassy story, which you encounter on your way to the Hotline, seems to have jumped back into the headlines of late. The "Eagle Limited" train car was based on a very real piece of historic rolling stock, make, model, the whole sockarooni. Remedy did their HOMEWORK with that one.

I have some additions :-D Vampyr, Greedfall, Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen (Old and new), The Surge 1 + 2, Psychonauts 2, Chronos: Before the Ashes and Remnant 1 +2, En Garde!, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, The Pathless, Scars Above, Soulstice, Steelrising, Technomancer, Terminator: Resistance, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: Devastation, We Happy Few. I already love AA more then AAA.

A Plague Tale Series is in Top 10 of best games I've ever played. Such well written games!

Robocop Rogue City is a fucking blast! Teyon really did their homework with Robocop just like they did with Terminator Resistance, I love the gameplay, the writing and the storyline, also having Peter Weller voicing Robocop again and having the original theme from the 1st Robocop is icing on the cake. Control is a masterpiece game, Remedy outdid themselves with this on and it's more of a AAA game than a AA game, I love the characters, writing and story, the game is a fucking blast, I finished it in 28 Days last July.

Love how I just beat Control, and evil west almost back to back! Both great games! Control is definitely better but evil west is great, has amazing combat, good co op experience

Lost in Random was really good I did enjoy it. Both Plague Tale games were also amazing Evil West was good until it wasnt, in the last few chapters of the game mine glitched and it was a game ending glitch which when i googled was commonish. The game relies on auto save and at one point the game no longer auto saved so there was no way to save your progress and if you died you went back to the last autosave that registered and for me it was something like 3 chapters before and I had to do a mini boss battle all over again. The first time it happened I did actually do all those chapters and boss battle again because I was enjoying the game. Then it happened again just before the last boss battle of the entire game I got to the point where you had to defeat loads of enemies then it would give you a marker to move onto the next stage which was the final boss but the marker never appeared so I couldnt move on. When I tried to restart the chapter it wouldnt let me and took me to my last autosave which was all those chapters before so I lost all my progress and after that I will admit i did kinda rage quit. Sorry for the rant it just annoyed me because the game was good and I would recommend but also warn about what could happen.

There's a lot of fantastic stuff on this list - Lost in Random was my favorite game the year it came out, and RoboCop Rogue City rules. Darksiders III, Kingdoms of Amalur, Control... just so much quality here. The kind of quality that really embarrasses a lot of AAA efforts. These types of games are the ones that really deserve more attention, so props to doing just that! If you guys revisit this topic, I highly suggest Gylt - it's by the same devs who did RiME, but it seems like no one pays attention to what Tequila Works does _now_ for some reason (they also did a recent "League of Legends Story" game, Song of Nunu. No one talks about any of those, except maybe The Ruined King). But it's fantastic. It's this survival horror stealth game with a very Coraline-esque look to it... if Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill made misguided attempts to look "kid friendly" but kept all the dark elements, you'd have Gylt pretty much. You guys may have hit THQ Nordic hard on this list (rightfully so), but you could also take a look at more of Focus Entertainment's if there's a next time too. Between stuff like Greedfall, Aliens: Dark Descent, Othercide, Atlas Fallen, Atomic Heart, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, etc. they're releasing a lot of good AA games too. They're also behind the upcoming Warhammer 40K Space Marine sequel, which is looking fantastic, so they're emerging as a "AA" leader this gen too, I think.

Besides God Of War, Darksiders are my all time favorite games to play thank you for mentioning them. Some people might not have heard about them until now and I hope they appreciate them like I do.

The Metro Series Are Definitely Games I Actually Tell People About. They Are Extremely Fun And Only Get Better With Each Installment.

Darksiders 2, and Kingdoms of Amalur are my favorites from this list. I like Kindoms as much as Skyrim. The PS3 version of Darksiders 2 was the best. The weapons you got from Vulgim had zero stats, you were more free to make your optimal build. Should you play it, you will understand why that's important

For kingdoms of amalur, don't forget RA Salvatores lore building

Control had a budget of $30M, which is certainly far more than a AA budget. The rest of the list is great though 🙌🏻

i tried chorus but couldn't get passed an early tutorial where I had to destroy some generators cuz of drifting. Drifting had to be too percise and was too slow

For Control they forgot to say the game is Young and Restless and Bold and Beautiful.

Robocop is such a good game. I loved it from start to finish. Also loved Control, even though half of the story I was like, wtf is going on here… then saw it was apart of the Alan Wake universe which I’ve never played so was like… ahhh no wonder I’m not really understanding these references 😂.

That EA game looks like something out of Tim Burton's playbook. I have to figure out which system that game is on. It looks wild, kinda like Psychonauts.. Also One State looks too good to be true.

If Helldivers 2 or Palworld are cobsidered AA then they shouldve been on this list somewhere.

In most cases yeah but typically triple a games are in the 60-80+ million range but some go even crazier highest budget ones like red dead 2 are in the 300-600 million dollar range

The budget and team has to be small. Not as small as indie but as big as Triple AAA. Control is a triple AAA title though so not sure why they placed that there.

True although I think this list is to highlight lesser known games unlike Witcher which has a Netflix series to its name. Chorvs is one title I think I would have never planned to check out, which I intend to do so now as I have been wanting some good space shooter

Triple aaa ones are usually in the 60-80+ million range with the highest ones in the 300-600 million range (red dead redemption 2)
