$10, 5 minute goat hay feeder

Today we build a goat hay feeder for $10 that takes only five minutes, keeps your hay dry and cuts down on the waste.

    I use cheap walmart laundry bins ($7) and screw them to the trees or in the barn on the wall, high enough so they can't climb in. Works perfectly.

    That’s a great idea. I may try that next year when we get them into the woods. I like the can because I can keep the hay dry.

    ROFL !! Look at those little brats immediately trying to butt it into submission ! How dare that container not spilling all that hay to the ground ! I'll have to try this. It makes me sick sometimes to see how much of my money is being turned into bedding.

    Been doing that with 5 gallon buckets for years works great but you will need way more holes because they will eat out the hole and can’t get any more and the trash can will not last for long need something heavier plastic

    Check out my 5 gallon bucket ones I think having 4 or 5 around the fence will work better in the long run.

    Where'd you get a trash can like that for $10. THey cost WAY more than that unless you find one used or broken.

    So far they’re not really interested in the can itself but time will tell.
