Including a race, a meet, lots of train activity over a 4 and a half-hour period, here are trains we spotted at the double-crossings in Los Nietos/Santa Fe Springs, CA. The main highlights were Amtrak Southwest Chief 3 with PV Redwood Empire ATSF 33, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 1567 with CDTX 2117 & CDTX 2118 on each end plus PV Tioga Pass, former ATSF now BNSF 676 Warbonnet trails through on a WB BNSF stack to Hobart, BNSF H1 units and NS 1802 SD70ACC seen from a distance plus the Union Pacific Valla-Los Nietos transfer local both ways.
