Diet Coke tastes distinctly different from regular Coke. You would absolutely tell the difference in a blind taste test. That being said, I think Coke Zero is closer to regular than Diet.

yeah you do. you have a lot of people who say they taste the same lmao. and then u give them a blind taste test between regular coke and coke zero, and they all can taste the difference easily and guess which one is which a 100% of the time. that being said, coke zero is better even though it tastes worse 🤣

I can 100% tell the difference between all 3. I will say that Diet coke tastes awful and I love the other two. Dr. Pepper on the other hand I can not tell Diet Dr Pepper from Regular Dr Pepper.

facts. of course if we are using a scale system where diet coke is at a 1.0 and regular coke is at a 10.0, coke zero would be at like 3.0-4.0. it's closer to a regular coke's taste when compared to diet coke, but still tastes a bit off. with that said, i would take coke zero any day over a diet coke. but all soda in general isn't healthy so I try to stay away from all of them if i can.

Diet coke is actually a different recipe. It wasn’t supposed to taste like regular coke. Diet Coke is based off of a recipe for what they were going to call New Coke, but it wasn’t received well. Coke Zero Sugar is designed to taste like traditional Coke, but with zero calories.

I can definitely tell a difference between most regular and diet sodas, but the difference means nothing when one has zero calories and one is like drinking a dessert. Also Coke Zero > Diet Coke

if you deal with the funky taste for 2 weeks your tastebuds will change 1) but 2) youll forget the taste of original soda so you wont miss it anymore, ill agree the first 2 weeks arnt fun though

Most people who try to maintain their healthy-ness will definitely struggle when it comes to bulking. Look at the big folks including Mitch himself, he does not eat healthy all the time, his number 1 goal is to reach his estimated calories count and does his best doing it healthy but if he falls behind he´ll catch up with lots of fats & snacks, just how it is. He is a rare type in that industry tho, most other people will just eat unhealthy options to make it easier for themselves and it honestly does not matter much if you eat too much shit or not, it´s not like you´ll evolve a new type of breed of fat that you can´t get rid of during a cut

When someone tells me coke and pepsi taste the same I stop considering their opinions on food immediately. Zero perception.

Video just proves how hard it is to track calories on the fly. Needs to be done meticulously to be accurate as nobody is perfect and either the deficit or surplus can really add up quickly if you aren't hard checking.

Guys if ur trying to do a healthy bulk, stay the fuck away from egg whites lmao, just have the whole egg!

In no world would it make any sense to substitute it with something else on a healthy bulk, especially if ur making it at home, throwing away 80% of the egg to add something else thats similar and less healthy does that make sense to you?

artificial sweeteners have a distinctly different taste when you aren't used to ingesting them. it's pretty easy to pick out. the one in diet coke is particularly astringent. you have to go over the labels anymore because products like ice cream, pickles and pasta sauce brands make versions sweetened with stevia and the only difference in the label is a small "sweetened with stevia" line to the regular label. worst pickles ever.

Not really the same comparison because coke and Diet Coke is the same brand it’s just the ingredients change so a better comparison would be if you can tell the dofference in the same brand you smoke but one contains thc and the other cbd if that makes sense

I did a blind test with Coke Zero, Coke from a can, and Coke from a glass bottle and the difference was so obvious I could pick them out just by smelling them.

0:56 Literally just started watching all this fitness and lifting stuff. I just find it funny that these 3 people in this video are the only ones i follow and now i see them al together.

I do notice most differences in diet or sugar free stuff. It's not usually BAD but it's noticeable. Usually it just tastes off. I only drink regular pops like that if I need the calories especially for a quick hit. But I rarely drink it so the 150-300 doesn't hurt at those times. Some people are definitely more sensitive than others to it. It's like generic VS name brand. It's always a touch different.

I can most definitely tell the difference between diet and regular sodas, it all depends on the type of sweetener. Sugar is delicious (obviously 🙄) Stevia is extremely bitter for me, but I don't mind sucralose and I'm so so on aspartame. The more different ones you try the more you can tell the difference I think.

I am glad to see Mitchell points out the Bolthouse Farms "health drinks" you definitely need to read the label and serving size as well as the amount of sugar that is in there.

I’ve gotten used to Coke Zero, I enjoy it. Diet Coke tastes like my childhood. That being said regular Coke is SIGNIFICANTLY more delicious than its sugar free counterparts. I rarely have regular soda but it could be useful pre or post workout.

Diet soda is a good substitute for regular soda with high fructose corn syrup if your goal is weight loss and eating with a carloic deficit but its not in any means healthier. Aspartame and sucralose is known to destroy gut biome and cause hormonal imbalance

Great video but you're right, I'll heavily disagree with what you said about not being able to tell the difference between regular and diet coke. You absolutely can and this is a good thing. Not only am I so used to Coke Zero and Pepsi Zero that I prefer their taste to regular, I was also able to tell after one sip that they'd accidentally brought me a glass of regular soda at a restaurant, saving me a couple hundred calories and getting free drinks as an apology.

I prefer coke zero because of no caffeine. I prefer the taste of diet coke more though. I don’t even remember what regular coke tastes like. Chipotle is delicious, especially Al Pastor, but the prices are kind of high but so are a lot of other restaurants. As long as the portion sizes stay larger than they were 3 months ago, the price is justified

I like diet coke now. I used to like coke zero as it was the closest thing to the regular one. However, when they changed the recipe to coke zero, it made it taste fruitier, and that made it taste a bit worse in my opinion. Diet coke is now my new favorite.

Really like this video, when we were putting on weight in our rugby club we all got told to get better at cooking. It's hard to eat like 6/7/8k calories like that but it's easy to just eat a tasty egg based breakfast and good food for lunch and dinner and then you can get 5k in easily

I can definitely taste the difference between Diet Coke and regular Coke, but Coke Zero tastes slightly closer to the real thing. I used to drink a ton of diet soda, would buy the crates at Costco and would go through it in a week. I started being more aware of consuming ultra processed foods and now I'm sticking to carbonate water like Perrier.

You can tell the difference. We did that blind test to people at work, and most of them could tell the difference without any issues.. But again, Coke tastes, and is different at different parts of the world. The recipe for it is.

Diet coke will give an insulin spike also from what I have heard. A substitute for water is going a bit far in my opinion, but its a nice treat for variety.
