$10,000 Delta One JFK - LAX - SYD (POV Experience)

Ойын-сауық

Have you ever wanted to fly on Delta One, but can't afford it? I paid $10,000 for a Delta One JFK - LAX - SYD roundtrip flight so you don't have to. It's in POV so grab your tray table, food, and kick your leg up and experience Delta One from JFK to LAX to SYD as if you're there.
The trip to SYD including layoffs took over 24 hours. Let me know in the comments if you think Delta One is worth it. I'll have a separate video for the return trip titled "Delta One Flight Home" in which I'll add at the end of the video my thoughts on if it's worth it or not.

    I think from jfk to lax was a 737-900, but from lax to syd was A350-900. That was the nicest aircraft throughout the trip. I did like the massage chair on the 737-900 though. The worst aircraft was the one coming home though

    Do you hold the camera at chest or eye level as you walk around and interact with customer service and lounge/flight attendants, or do bloggers like you have some sort of lanyard you use to hang the camera from your neck like a body cam? Silly but serious question... 😁

    I was wondering the same thing when I watched someone on KZread do a pov while eating. There are many different mounts out there. I bought a neck mount for this pov right before the trip. There is a slight learning curve and through this trip I figured out which best works for certain scenarios. The D1 suites on the A350 seem okay at best while the 767 seats are kinda sad lol. And Delta still has even worse seats on their old A330s. I guess it was extra expensive because you're going all the way to SYD but $10k is rather painful for what you get on board DL.

    These "offset"/"zig-zag" flat-bed business-class seating arrangements always look cramped and narrow to me.

  • @MapleSeoul

    @MapleSeoul

    12 күн бұрын

    I can’t imagine what economy must feel like on this long trip but I think the purpose of the zig zag on d1 is so that they can create the lay flat bed without using more sq footage. I didn’t like d1 and I’m saving my opinions for the return flight video, but if you fly on the same aircraft configuration as the one I flew, be sure to pick the odd number. It sits inside rather than aisle. If you don’t know what I mean, the video shows you what I mean. Also, I did choose odd seats but delta switched my jfk to lax seat at the last minute and gave my seat to someone else…which is one of things I disliked about my experience

    @MapleSeoul Oh I always prefer window seats. In pretty much any configuration I can think of. I like to look out at the view, and I like the isolation from the aisle traffic.
