@@e-zain if you really want to dive into game dev, yes its recommended to learn it. Unity and Godot is the most popular engines right now, in Unity the language is C# and in Godot is GDScript, very similar to Python

I started crying when you said the part about the journey and nothing worth having comes easy. Saying "I hope you don't give up, every step counts" really got me. I'm working on starting a small craft/art business and I get down sometimes comparing myself or getting discouraged. It's nice to hear this sometimes. This game looks amazing, and your journey towards your goals is inspiring. I can't wait to check this out and immerse myself in your world :)

yes!! and in any sort of project there is going to be time 'wasted' on a feature/concept or tangible thing that gets scrapped. but exploring that idea was necessary even if it didn't work out. it's really hard to remember that when you have hours or days towards something for nothing though, and most people don't post about those (understandably). every step counts, even the ones that don't go anywhere!

It hit me too. Dont give up. The lows are part of the journey. :) And i know the comparing part.. but it only makes sense to do it to learn from others.

I have a few suggestions for the character creator: An icon next to the RGB sliders that shows the current color (so we can more easily preview it) as well as maybe the little hair/clothing colors also being affected by these changes?, and a hex code that we can copy and paste so we can use the same color on different parts of the character. OR a color wheel + brightness and saturation sliders instead of the RGB sliders for colors, i feel like this would make it easier to pick the color you want. Either way good luck with this project! it's looking really good and i always look forward to seeing your videos! i'm probably gonna be a day one purchaser when it comes out lmao.

i am astronomically excited for this game, and wish you best of luck going forward in development!! my one criticism though is the lack of body types. i know very little about game development lol but i think adding just one larger body type option for character customization would do a world of difference, as well as having some plus-size or even just not quite as skinny NPCs as well. thanks!

This looks beautiful, but I would have a small suggestion regarding the characters' eyes, they look too dark (just black) on the in-game/movable characters, compared to how pretty they look in the drawn characters. That also makes them look more puppet-like than the "manga" drawn characters. I feel like making the eyes somewhat clearer would make the characters pop up even more.
