The best way to avoid the "weird stage" is by using headbands, bandanas and hair mousse :) it all works and it looks very cute, you can make it look goth, punk, very girly or manly, depending on what look you're looking for

I'd been contemplating shaving my head for YEARS, and I finally did back in February! I haven't started growing it out yet because I just love it short so much! I'm excited to start growing it out, but also don't know when I'll be ready for that :) I adore your hair length though, and I'm glad you're so excited about the growth progress! :D

I love watching your hair update videos they helped me out a lot when I was first considering shaving my head. It’s been 4 months since I’ve shaved my head and so far it’s been really cute! I haven’t had an awkward stage yet bc my hair is wavy and it has been growing downward. I got a hair cut just to trim the sides and keep a nice shape going. The mullet looks very cute on you!

I'm at a year out from growth after chemo, and your hair is so cute! I've done trims in the back to avoid the dreaded mullet, and I'm finally entering a stage where I like the look. Thanks for your video, it's nice to see styles that aren't just cancer/chemo related, but still relate to the struggle of going from bald/shaved to growth. My recommendation is to cut the bottom back, get rid of the mullet, and do a little outward flip on the bottom back line.

I am at the stage in my life where I am searching for "shaving my head" on KZread and scrolling every day. I've been doing that for months now. Can't be healthy 🤣

I did the same for ages before finally shaving my head at the end of march this year and I'm really happy I did it!! I think it looks great on pretty much anyone and if u don't like it that much u can still grow it out (which I'm doing rn) and then get a pixie cut after a while if you prefer that. If u don't do it you'll probably regret that so I would definitely try! Especially if you've already cut it short you don't "lose" that much length anyway

@@noragranger3099 I don't know if my hair would grow out as a pixie cut, they really seem to grow "up", I don't know if that means anything (I'm not English). But thank you for this comment, I really need people to convince me to shave it. I've always wanted to do it, but I'm so scared of what people might think. I try to be as invisible as possible in my day to day life, I don't want people to see me, and I'm scared that I would 'stand out' as a woman with shaved hair and that is what scares me a bit.

I'm currently in the mullet stage after shaving off all my hair 16 months ago! Thank you for your videos... I feel less alone :)

I shaved my head for fun May 2021 & it’s been a good few months. I did it to get my natural dark blonde color back after all the bleaching & it’s cool to see it grow in, I’ve been dying it since 6th grade & never saw my real color 😬 I think it’s worth doing for no reason at all because you get to experience all the different styles during the different stages & might really like it somewhere along the way!

I’m currently thinking on shaving my head and seeing your update videos make me a lot more open to doing it. My hairs dry and I really need a reset, plus it’s just hard to maintain and so many other points; the list could really go on. I’m really hoping I do get to shave my head! It looks really fun and I’ve heard so many people comment on how it’s a great experience to have short hair. Thanks for all the update videos, it’s really nice to see a bunch of different ones to compare and see how a grow out process could go:)

ahh i shaved my head and i’m at the weird 4-5 month mark and it’s not really puffing up but it’s just laying flat on my forehead and idk what to do it looks like i have a helmet made out of hair 😭 may experiment with a straightener but my hair isn’t long enough for the straightener i have now so i might buy a smaller/skinner one for my hair

I shaved my hair also using as an excuse a bad bleaching and motivated by your video.Its been like 7 moths and now i have like a kpop guy style and wont go back to long hair!

I shaved my head a couple years back too and right around your stage, I had the mullet too. I have textured hair, so mine was a bit fluffier than yours and I straight up looked like Uncle Jesse. So I got an undercut. It makes it look like a cute little bob instead of all that party in the back 🤣

I've shaved my head 3.5 months ago and I'm very happy I did, but I don't really have a round face. I feel like getting a faded buzz (shorter at the sides and slightly longer at the top, you'd probably have to get it done by a professional) might help? Not sure tho. You'll be able to get a pixie cut after a couple month tho and those can work really well with round face shapes ;)

I shaved my head about 6.5 months ago. I’ve kept the mullet trimmed. I’d have to say I’m loving the 6 month mark the most so far. I wear headbands all the time and I think it makes my hair look pretty cute. The first three months of the shaved head were the hardest for me. I have a lot of forehead and I tend to look better with bangs. Regardless, I would absolutely shave my head again. It’s been a good experience.

I did the same thing even after regular trims plus Opalex ,It was too dead and needed to go. Now I have fresh growth and no chemicals in my hair.

Hair 👏🏼 styles 👏🏼 video 👏🏼 please 👏🏼 And I’ve been contemplating shaving my head for so long so it can grow at one length but I’m scared it’ll change in ways I won’t like. And I’m scared of facing people during all of it, especially if I hate it. 😫

There will be some frustrating moments when you can’t really style your hair, but those will pass eventually!💜 Also, you don’t really have to worry about people! They only stare because they’re curious😂

thankyou for this ! just absolutely ruined my hair with bleach and i cant afford to get it fixed nor do i want to. ive thought abt shaving my head for 5 years now and i think im gonna do it. my hair was already frizzy and damaged before, and sometimes it really annoys me. at the end of the day, hair grows back, and mine grows fairly quick. plus its always been on my bucket list to shave my head. only apprehension i have is that i wanna keep my rat tails and thats gonna look absolutely stupid for months but whatever. all the comments are lovely and encouraging too. ill leave an update under this if i ever go through with it :)

im a guy and my hair looked like yours (at least the length) i fokin loved it so damn much. Shaved everything off yesterday for army bootcamp. My long hair made me feel so confident, it was a fun experience feeling like a rockstar. For the next 6 years I wont ever get to look like a rockstar again. God i miss my hair already 🥲

i’m on month nine, and i’ve started using hair curlers! it looks so cute, i 100% recommend. (:

Mine 1 year mark looked similar to yours! I’m about 2-4 more months you’ll be able to get it cut all one length at chin length! That’s how mine grew

I don't feel well and I just woke up, so seeing that you posted makes my day a bit better already 😀, I think you look great and I'm glad that you think so too and don't regret your decision

hit the first weird stage about a months or two ago and ended up shaving the sides again - shich like looked cool but made it even harder to grow out now

Your hair grows so much raster than mine! I’ve been regrowing my hair for about 7 months, but it’s significantly shorter than yours after 5 months ;((

I’m at the 5 and a half month stage and I hate it. I feel so ugly. It’s puffy and I can’t do anything with it. I’d love for you to do some hairstyle curling videos so I have ideas for when mine gets longer.

I have every intention of shaving my head whenever I'm pregnant when I'm like 8 months along just because I've always wanted to and then that way when people ask why I can just say I wanted my hair to be as old as my baby

Idk if you remember but I commented on your previous video before I had to shave my head after getting diagnosed with carcinoma and my hair's growing back now ^^ .. and my hair is in the stage where it's really long on both the sides and not so long on the top (I look super awkward) 😂😂 I do regret it, but I didn't have a choice either. You are super pretty and your videos make me feel so much stronger, and give me so much hope that I'll look okay soon thanks a bunch for making them💛

shaved mine in june 2020, i remember my hair was this short in august 2021. my hair is a lot cuter now.

Would never not in a million years ever consider shaving my head. Too cold where I live to do that.

It looks amazing! I buzzed my hair 8-7 times since 2020 my hair is around 3 inches and it's driving me crazy. It feels good but the growing stages makes it feel not worth it. Really envying girls who grow an inch a month lol regretting but also missing the buzz

my hairstylist literally FRIED my hair three months ago and half of it fell off. i had to shave my head and i’m in that weird state pre many from ice age. it definitely feels healthier and i cannot wait to have it long again

it has been 4 months since I shaved my head & now I'm already depressed about it I watch hair growth videos every day desperately waiting them to grow back 😭🤍 I didn't have any hair issues it was just an impulse action 😅

I’m at the swoop out stage currently following shaving my head in august and there is literally nothing you can do to style/control it. It goes whichever way it wants until it gets abit more length to weigh it down so it’ll sit in a style better. Very awkward so I can completely relate 😁

I shaved my head over a year ago, and when it reached the seventh/eighth month I couldn’t stand it and shaved it again. I’m In the six month mark right now and I’m committed to growing it out this time but I really hate it. Just six more months until It won’t be completely terrible though… 🥲

I shaved my head with no guard so close to shaving it with a straight razor. It's been three months and my hair is so thick and healthy but it's wild and I'm constantly feeling ugly. I bought a human hair wig that looked like my hair before and I like it but with summer it gets itchy and irritating. I can't wait until my hair is chin length and I can have a short bob.
