    I am so happy for you and your results! You inspired me to go to Heva. It was scary at first travelling alone from Canada but your videos.. your videos helped me a great deal! I am 5weeks post and in the ugly duckling phase.. my donor area also has some patches but I’m optimistic it would all grow back. Post op said it would.. I’m also starting PRP in 3weeks so hopefully that all helps. I stalked your channel everyday from March 30 lol.. Thank you once again babes and I pray for continued growth for you. Amen

The thought of PRP scares me tbh as I think it's much easier getting it done on the day of the transplant due to our heads already being numb! Thank you, sis, Amen- and same for you also xxx 🙏🏽🙏🏽

    You're welcome, my love! Pls don't do braids on your recipient area- I personally lost A LOT of strands- about 20 with the white bulb, so I'm only praying those are just natural shedding vs me pulling them out unknowingly due to braiding thay area. It's best not to risk it at all in my opinion. I won't be braiding my recipient area again...

    Your results look amazing. Just out of curiosity what happened to the grey hairs they transplanted in the recipient area did they fall out or they are still there?

  • @TheWellnessAbbey

    @TheWellnessAbbey

    2 ай бұрын

    Thank you!!! It's a really good question. I've cut some of them off/short, some of them I've noticed are only grey at the ends/tips now meaning as the hair grows the root is black (which matches what we read about transplants- that the grey hairs are only a temporary thing)- so I've ended up trimming the grey ends off, and I think some have shed and so are/will be growing back black. So all in all, you probably won't end up with as many greys as you think you would as some do grow back black later down the line.

Thanks

    @TheWellnessAbbey I never got my hair done professionally I always did it myself. I wore headband wigs, Jumbo twists, and flat twists with my real hair. I am on Mirena since 2020 and I used to have subclinical hypothyroidism meaning my thyroid hormones were almost borderline and I never needed medication in fact my endocrinologist told me to not come back 🙃 unless it gets worse and I still had edges. When I did crochet hair styles I leave my edges out and slick it down with gel. I did my transplant at Natural Hair Transplant, if u type that in with Angela u will see my surgery and 1yr results on KZread. I paid 8k and did it in Bethesda Maryland in August 2020. He told me prp was optional. I was never told that my hair may recede overtime. I feel I did everything correctly then I looked at past pictures and realized the density has decreased dramatically. I did some research and I saw over time ppl get a second transplant bc their density decreased as well. The only treatment that seemed to help some ppl maintain hair is injecting their plasma directly in the grafts once or twice a year for maintenance. My scalp isn't bald the density is dramatically decreased but I can still walk outside without a wig and not feel ugly, it's like peach fuzz. I did prp in April and may and I'm going to do it next month to jump start the growth bc I really don't want another transplant bc it's painful and my hair on my scalp is low density naturally. I am not trying to annoy anyone but I was so upset with what happened to me so I went on black women pages on KZread and tried to tell ppl to get prp once or twice a year in advance so in 4 years ur not like me. I wish someone would have told me that this wasn't 100% permanent.

    Ah, thank you, hun xxxxx I literally was considering installing locs again over the past few days! It's funny you mention that! I don't think I will because the thought of re-twisting my recipient area over time / over years upon years raises concerns for me (and i don'tthink free-form locs are for me), but let's see- we never know. I do kinda miss locs, but I also balance the fact that my husband prefers me with loose natural hair and that's also a very important consideration for me personally.

    Hey. The female technicians did the graft removal, numbing, injecting of follicles, and prp. A man- I believe Dr Evren- made my incisions. Dr Seda drew my hairline and came into my room throughout the day to check up on what the technicians were doing and instruct them. At the time I had mine done there weren't different packages/prices, but they have created different ones now, yes.

    It's best if you ask the clinic you're considering doing it with, Alicia, but I'm pretty sure they'd say yes (they'd have to shave hair from what would be your donor area though, so they can transfer those follicles to the front- so some of your locs would have to be shaved off... I'm also pretty sure they'd advise against continuing with locs going forward since they create tension on the hair follicles).

    @@TheWellnessAbbey We had our transplant with Heva clinic this month and the agreed price via WhatsApp was different when they sent my husband his confirmation email! He had to ask for a new sales coordinator to proceed with the agreed price because the old coordinator basically said it was up to him to proceed or not! We also noticed they changed the hotel last minute to the Arjaan hotel and said it would be a suite! When we asked why they changed hotel they said they were “under construction”. When checking into the hotel, Heva booked a standard room and NOT the suite they had promised! We would have to pay extra to stay in the suite which we declined! We met another couple who stated they were to stay at the Radisson blu also but was transported to the Arjaan hotel without even letting them know about the change. They were told they had to change their reservation because of an “event” being held there. The Arjaan hotel though seems to be a surgery hotel as we saw many others with hair transplants, nose jobs and bbl’s which made it less awkward walking around the hotel. The staff at the Heva clinic were fine, just didn’t like how they lied about the pricing and the hotel they advertised we would stay at.

    Not sure if it’s just me but every HEVA clinic hairline is so sharp and unnatural. I initially booked with them but after observing this even with their female clients I’m not sure I’ll follow through. Do you think the doctor drew your hairline natural or that was your choice ?

  • @TheWellnessAbbey

    @TheWellnessAbbey

    Ай бұрын

    Definitely do what you feel most comfortable with, sis. Go with your gut. The hairline they gave me is my natural one 😅 they literally drew over the FEW baby hairs I had left, so I could see they followed my natural hairline. Bear in mind that what may make it look unnatural is that we usually have baby hairs (i.e. finer and more sparse) hairs where they draw the line- not dense hairs like a hair transplant will make your hairline become. You can tell them to amend the hairline they draw for you if you don't like it for whatever reason though- e.g. check out this sister's video- kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKF4sJuic5mqpaQ.htmlsi=dL5Xri-O9NIU-1_r
