yo dude the glorious model o is good keep it up man i went throught i similiar situation a month ago and now i would say i can beat some public ffa box fights the thing is its easy u just need the ping and the fps and train main mechainic and build on the main mechanics simple ones like get used to crouching and getting good muscle memory for hitting ppl while sprint jumping sprinting and etc

I remember when I switched, I did a bunch of edit course maps and aim trainers. But most importantly, I loaded in fast paced maps like BHE. Because when you die, you can get right back into action instead of waiting. And plus it’s a lot going on, which forces you to use everything you need to improve on at once. I also played a lot of box fights. But more so fast paced maps.

@@moinleute1044 Just keep going. Some people progress quicker than others. Don’t rush it. You can’t just switch to keyboard and expect to be a god in less than a month or two. Kbm is a whole different ball game. It takes time. Took some pro players more than 2 years to get to where they’re at. I know it gets annoying dying all the time to players you know you could decimate. But that’s all apart of the process. Stay patient bro

i’ve been playing on kbm for abt 9 months now and for most of that time i just played solos bc i thought it would get me better faster but tbh it didn’t, i realized abt 2 months ago that creative helps so much more. solos takes up so much time just loading into new games especially when u die, whereas most creative maps you just respawn which is rlly good. but yeah! keep going bro and you’ll be insane

Great video! I’ve been trying to switch from controller to kb&m, and this video helped a lot.

Being a controller player then switching to hybrid I experiences with switching to keyboard very similar to yours. I really didn’t like the numbers and having to moving my hands to them mid fight. So I decided to switch my shotgun bind to middle mouse button and pickaxe to number two. These helped me a lot personally and a lot more optimal for fights. That was my biggest issue with switching to hybrid.

How did you get used to placing cones and double editing? I’m switching too and I struggle with cones

I was a controller player since the beginning of season 2 of the first year of Fortnite and as soon as chapter three hit I got a pc but still was on controller. just one week ago I started trying keyboard and mouse and I can actually do retakes pretty easily. You just have to keep practicing and practicing don’t touch that controller just keep playing since when I did touch it I lost my touch with kam but the reason why I’m so used to Kam is BECUAEE I played other games on kam ❤

To be honest its not that difficult to switch from keyboard and mouse, i already play insane on kbm especially when it comes to boxfights, i play better then i was playing on controller (p.s i've been playing for 3 years on controller and 1 month on kbm) i would advice people that just switched to focus on doing edit courses, piece control drills, free builds (not randomly building actually practice retakes and try to reach height) and shotgun aim/AR tracking. Also playing creative match makings (box fights/zone wars), it will be difficult the first week but as soon as you get the hang of it and practice the fundamentals, everything will become better. Believe me, its worth the switch.

I first started Fortnite on PC in chapter 2. Then after a few months i switched to xbox and became a really pro player. I kinda wanna switch back to Keyboard and Mouse because its kinda cooler and you have some advantages like scroll wheel reset. But the main thing is that before I switched to Xbox I couldn't really build because I found switching and pressing different keys confusing and I couldn't really keep up. Like my brain was so confused of what key I should press to place a wall or a ramp there we so many keys I sometimes forgot which key was my biinds. I decided that I am going to try just like you and give it an another shot. I will see how it goes.

I've seen that a lot of people switching to kbm forget to turn on confirm edit on release so they keep complaining about having to tap and extra bind and not being able to free build so well

I can play warzone, pubg, dayZ, red dead, apex...and others woth keyboard but fortnite i just can't do. Too many things all at once my brain can't compute. I am reletavely new to it though. I totally agree on thinking playing fortnite on controller holds you back. I can definitely tell when i'm playing a good keyboard player. I constantly get lost on my inventory and weapon pull out feels horribly delayed. Maybe i'll try again one day. Good luck with your journey, you look like you are getting it fine.

yeah that's understandable fortnite is a very mechanical game but getting lost in ur inventory is a easy fix I neva get lost in my inventory. I use right alt for my inventory I just stretch out my thumb then switching around ur inventory or dropping stuff in ur inventory is very easy with ur mouse. maybe try new weapon binds if it feels delayed. I use scroll wheel up for my shotgun so it's very easy to pull out my shotgun. thanks for the luck though because I need it but u should definitely give fortnite keyboard and mouse another chance u got this

For your picaxe do tab and or what ever u feel comfortable when scroll down to toggle picaxe and unbind picaxe

i tried my hardest to try to be able to edit fast on controller and i’ve failed over the years of playing. switched to kbm and i feel more better. it was a difficult move but it finally happened.

You're binds are perfect

Maybe use mb4-5 for smg shotgun and scrol up and down door edit reset makes your edit much faster

Note: if you can’t reach the numbers like 1 2 and 3 get a 60 percent keyboard it helped me a lot and I don’t have to move my fingers all the way up just to reach the numbers it also gave me more mouse space

Yo try 4% on 1000 dpi with 45% ads speed and 150% build/edit I know it feels super slow, but once you get used to it, your flicks will feel unnaturally accurate. It took me like 2 hours to get used to

facts I love the razor huntsman mini I'm so happy I bought that over the other keyboards I was looking at I think the only difference is u have the linear switches & I have the clicky optical switches but keep grinding

hi I use caps lock for tactical sprint and I use f for edit. & yeah if u check out my more recent keyboard and mouse progression videos I started playing raiders piece control maps and edit courses

Tbh since I didint have an mouse that has side buttons I recommend using ur scroll wheel but instead of scrolling up just press down on it it way easier to pull out trust me use it it’s way easier the only thing it will replace ur marker but to me that’s fine

i play on kbm and when i was struggling what i did was i played piece control maps and edit courses they are good maps to improve edits and builds

I switched just like you like 3 months ago and honestly it was for the way better

I've been playing Fortnite No Builds because it's less stressful. I have to learn to how to play builds so I'm trying to figure out the best keyboard and mouse binds for building. I didn't like Fortnite when it first released because of the art style and building but today it's the most addicting game I've ever played.

on keyboard 1v1's piece control maps and edit course's are your friend and do what's comfortable to you because at the end of the day it is a personal preference.

My hyperx is rbg but doesn’t change with dpi. I just click through and jiggle the mouse till I’m back on 800. I’m still practicing too. I still get frustrated and plug in my controller now and then.

I rlly want to get started on keyboard and mouse but I don’t the money for the gear and idk where I should put it

I have trouble doing double Edit. What is the best Way to learn double edit

Heres all the binds that i use and i think are really nice also they don't use any of the number keys and you don't have to reach very far on the keyboard movement: wasd, jump: space, interact :E, crouch: shift, sprint: control, pickaxe: Q, slot 1: F, slot 2: scroll down, slot 3: DPI botton, slot4: C, slot 5: T, wall: side mouse button 1, stair: side mouse button 2, floor: scroll up, cone: Z, Map: caps lock, inventory: V, reload: R, ping: alt, edit: middle mouse button, augments: tab.

Did the same thing but I just switched back to controller. Only reason I went to keyboard was to edit faster and easier. Now I tried controller again and I practiced and I got better and faster at my edits on controller. So now I am pretty much at my keyboard skill.
