Hi! This is by far the longest video in my channel right now. I decided to make it into a single video as an experiment but it took more than expected to edit, and it was a bit more difficult to 'control' than my usual videos. Sorry in advance for any mistake I made. I hope you like it!
I think Takom did a great job on this kit, but it's not perfect. This video can be useful for those who are building other variants, like the T-55 AM, T-55AMV, TYPE 69-II, T-55A, T-55 AM2B, Type 59, Type 59
0:25 Lower hull
3:54 Road wheels
6:06 Tracks
9:27 Upper Hull
12:48 Mudguards and Tools
20:44 Rear Plate and Tow Cable
24:01 Turret
32:43 Result!
High quality photos: pg/Sergio-So...

¡Hola!

¡Saludos!

Nice work. I'm currently building Takom's King Tiger Special Edition myself. The level of detail is incredible but the kit does have a few nagging areas to it when it comes to parts fitting. I've had to putty numerous seams and clean up some ugly ejection-pin marks. Anyway, after seeing you build this one I may buy one and add it to the stash.

Abrazo!

+wavelet it comes with two collets, if I recall correctly, and each one can hold around three sizes of drill bits. I had to buy an extra collet from Dremel for the really small bits, and I had to modify it with tape to make it fit the drill. Easy and simple mod, but very effective 🤓

I found with the road wheels that the look of having the rubber ridges on the road wheels looks unnatural as they would wear away very quickly and if you have a weathered tank it look incongruous. I just sanded them away and then took out little chips and cuts to make them look worn.

Yeah, it's possible, but the reason is simple: It's easier to find nice music when the segments are not too long. I even had to edit the audio tracks in some parts, so they fit better. Thanks for your feedback :)

:D I meant the kit, it has too many parts, as a result the video has too many parts of course. :D

Would not buy this kit for two reasons; 1) the road wheel issue. 2) the decals for Saigon 1975 are totally incorrect. Too bad Takom.
