    I really like this way of looking at a character's internal struggle. Showing conflicting strong values goes deeper than the standard "internal need vs external want." Thanks very much!

    Expelled vs dead also comes up in a skit where Rowan Atkinson plays a school principal and talks to an unruly child's parents about disciplinary "fatal beatings". I can't remember the show name.

    Such a great video. Thank you for using a wide range of examples, too. I'm so tired of seeing examples from Pride and Prejudice and the Hunger Games from other KZreadrs lol I'm terrible at coming up with complex characters, so I want to try this method. It seems like fun!

    thank you for a new perspective on creating a comples character that will mean something to readers. I am often blocked by inner versus outer or deep wound. This helps the writing get started, other stuff can up when it's ready to be revealed by subconscious.
