So while this is the most popular "1 second of every JoJo episode" video, you may notice by looking at the date it's a bit dated, this was before Part 6 was animated. Also to answer your question about context, it helps to understand what's going on ... But honestly it arguably makes it weirder in some cases. There are two things I'd highly recommend: watching the EDs, and the main music themes of all 6 main characters (make sure to double check you don't accidentally pick a compilation with a fanmade version of Jolyne's theme, she's the main character of Part 6 and before it was animated people made fan made themes for her). Although speaking of fanmade, there are a few fanmade projects based on the manga only parts right now that have alot of talent behind them if you're interested!
