China seems like a head scratcher. It seems like they are emerging from the recent downturn, but it’s not clear how it will replace the demand for cheap labor as the population ages, birth rates are down, demand for higher quality of living goes up and automation decreases the need for human labor. Couple that with geopolitical risks re Taiwan, and huge tariffs from the US on Chinese EVs and the effect of the chip act…I’m just not sure what to do with Chinese stocks long term.

Thanks, Edward. Indeed, lots of risks with Chinese stocks. These cheap valuations reflect the risks.

You don't understand TSLA. Elon says if you don't understand the business don't buy TSLA stock. I guess you did not see the CNBC report on BIDU robotaxi's in China. Many of them have human drivers and to get a ride on a driverless taxi it took them over 4 hours of hard effort. I would not be surprised if the driverless taxi's have a human remote operators assisting the cars. BIDU will partner with TSLA, the FSD will be TSLA and the mapping will be provided by BIDU. Oh by the way all of the taxi's will be Tesla's.
