George Gascon is the bigger issue. At least Newsome has blocked Gascon from releasing murderers from prison early in a few cases. Gascon is hell-bent on refusing to prosecute even the most violent offenders. Yet, the voters in LA look likely to reelect him.

In Saudi Arabia, Theft is punished by the amputation of the offender's right hand, and armed or highway robbery may be punished by execution, crucifixion, or amputation of hands and feet from opposite sides of the body, depending on the severity of the offense. Guess what’s the crime rate there?

Very sad, but this was obviously not a hate crime. We need to address the root causes of crime... i.e. poverty, systemic racism and an unequal distribution of resources. These children need support for rehabilitation... punishment will only make them worse.
