This time, I traveled to South Korea and stayed overnight at the capsule hotel Darakhyu, which is located inside the facility of Incheon Airport.
Since it was an early flight in the morning, there was a capsule hotel in the facility of Incheon Airport, not a hotel in Seoul, so I stayed there.
If you are traveling to Seoul or working, you may want to stay at a capsule hotel at Incheon Airport instead of a hotel in Seoul when you arrive late at night or leave early in the morning.
There are two hotels, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and this time it was a flight departing from Terminal 1, so I stayed at the hotel in Terminal 1.
It is located on the first basement floor of the Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Transportation Center Building.
The cheapest room with shared shower and toilet cost 7,600 yen per night.
Some rooms have a shower, although the price is a little higher.
Since it is a capsule hotel operated by Walker Hill Hotel, the design is Korean modern and the facilities are good.

Incheon International Airport, the largest airport in South Korea. The capsule hotel "DARAKHYU" introduced this time was newly opened in 2017 in the transportation center. This time we will mainly introduce DARAKHYU on the existing Terminal 1 side, but there is the same hotel in the transportation center of Terminal 2. Both are a 5-minute walk from the departure / arrival terminal on the indoor connecting bridge!
The transportation center has an airport train station to Seoul, making it very convenient to get to the city.
The hotel is located on the first floor of the floor above this transportation center in Terminal 1, and on the same basement floor as the ticket gates in Terminal 2.
Doors are lined up in the corridor reminiscent of traditional Korean design. Each room is like a big box, and it is a very rare capsule hotel that is airtight and soundproof.
There are 4 types of rooms on the Terminal 1 side. "Single (without shower)" "Single (with shower)" "Double (without shower)" "Double (with shower)". (There is no single with shower on the Terminal 2 side)
In addition to the bed, there is a flooring space next to it, which is about 2 tatami mats in total. If you have a carry case for carry-on, you can easily expand it. And the height of the room is about 2.5m to the ceiling, so you don't feel oppressive.
Even though the equipment in the room is compact, it is surprisingly fulfilling! In addition to 220V power outlet and USB power supply, towels, bath towels, indoor shoes, hangers, Bluetooth speakers, reading lights, free Wi-fi, etc. There is also an air conditioner in the room, so you can adjust the air conditioning as you like, so it won't be cold even in winter.
And the bed is made by Simmons! A comfortable bed allows you to stretch your legs and sleep comfortably.
This quality at a capsule hotel! ?? I'm surprised, but I'm convinced that "DARAKHYU" is operated by the WALKER HILL Hotel Group, which manages many of Korea's top hotels!
The doors of each room are neat, and it is a hotel quality that unlocks with the card key given at the reception and you can use electricity in the room by pointing the card key. Luggage can be stored in each room, so you can easily leave your suitcase in the room and stroll around the restaurants and shops in the airport.
Since the toilet is not attached to any room, we will use the one in the common space. In addition, there is a shower room where both men and women can use the shower free of charge for guests.
In the common space, there are sofas and magazines where you can relax, as well as computers with internet access, fax machines and photocopiers.
You can stay for 12 hours from check-in.

Could you please help me with the following. I would highly appreciate it 1. After clearing Korean immigration (My incoming flight lands in terminal 1), how much of a walk is this hotel in terminal 1. I am assuming it’s in the same airport. 2. Do I need to go through the airport security in terminal 1 to get to this hotel ? 3. My ongoing flight to Seattle, USA is from terminal 1. How far are the departure gates from this hotel. Do I need to go through airport security again ? Thanks a lot in advance

Thank you for watching and for your question. 1. After arriving at Terminal 1, it takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the arrival lobby to the capsule hotel. There is no need to go outside as you will move from the airport facility. 2. This hotel is located after exiting security after arriving at Terminal 1. 3.
