The quality of presentation and production has improved considerably since I started, as I bought better equipment and got used to talking to camera. I cringe at some of the earlier vlogs. Well Deck Diaries Quite a number of things including the suggestion to clean the water tank; blacking including the underside; faulty exhaust; some electrical matters; adjustment to waste outlets; venting to gas locker; fixing of stove in position.

Interesting to see a boat out of the water.

My Narrowboat Venture ...Thanks Alan. Thanks for your reply. That’s me all done for a week. I bet you’re glad this wind is settling down, I sure am. Can’t be much fun on the canal when it’s windy. We’re ex motorhomers, swapped it for a caravan and when it’s windy the caravan rocks about a bit. I’d say it’s less so on a narrowboat. Happy narrowboating.

Hi Gary. I’m Marina based but it still gets windy, we had largish waves yesterday. The rear canopy flaps around in the wind. I too am a motor-homer. I had a bay window VW for 30 years but sold it last year and bought a hi-top van, far mor practical.

My Narrowboat Venture......Summers just around the corner. Lose an hours sleep next weekend too. Ok if you’re retired I suppose. Bay window VW campers are very iconic but like you say the one you’ve got now are more practical. Ours was a full blown motorhome with rear island bed in its own separate bedroom. Much prefer the practicalities of a caravan though. Much prefer a narrowboat than a caravan but Lynne’s not struck on them. Hope with a gentle persuasion she’ll come round to the idea, it’s definitely me more than her. Ok! With that said it’s time for our Sunday jaunt to the local garden centre for a nice carvery. Don’t think it’ll be long before I’ll be watching the backs of my eyelids though. Starting work at 02.30hrs is not so easy on the body. Bye4now Alan. Keep an eye on that cratch cover. Lol...

I let the Surveyor get on with it, the video was an after thought but you did see the boat being tested in the water!
