Couldn’t help thinking the boys standing next to the piano while the two young men were playing were saying to them selves, I can do that too.

You guys warm my heart I grew up listening to piano from my grandma who taught it almost all her life. Thanks and God bless you from an old man in Washington state.....🙌🏼✌🏼😎

Hi Brendan if you're reading this and you remember I'm Ryan from Hong Kong. Half a year ago I'd just finished my exams knowing I screwed up an important paper and I was absolutely gutted. Somehow I stumbled on this channel while watching other music channels and this was just so different from everything else I'd seen and I was hooked. I watched more and more of the videos and started picking up boogie woogie myself. Fast forward six months I ended up not meeting my UK uni offer despite a near perfect score, but I thought I'd give it another go. At the same time I watched as Dr K got closer and closer to 1 million subs and the videos along the way were just as entertaining. I saw Dr K's announcement for this meet-up and received an interview invitation from said uni at roughly the same time, so I decided to fly in from Hong Kong a few days earlier just to see this in person. The six months ago me would never have even imagined to have the chance to see the man in action, and here he was today. It was absolutely surreal. It was amazing to see so many of the people I'd seen in the videos in the same place sharing their passion and the crowd was also unbelievable. I loved how I got to see the young talents of Nathan and Olivier and the tribute to Joe, that was so touching and such a good embodiment of Dr K's spirit of promoting boogie across different generations. This channel has everything that a KZread channel should have, the accessibility, the memes, the characters with their own cult followings, the music, the acknowledgement of past and future generations and the community. I wish your next million subs grow into a yet tighter and wholesome community. This started with the music but it's gone so far beyond that now. Watching from Cambodia. My wife is a musician but I can’t tap my foot 6 times and keep the same beat. I love boogie woogie, Blues and jazz. I think what I like most is that people can play it. As an engineer I tell my darling wife why her instruments make the sounds they do. I can even show her the maths but I could produce a correct note. Love the videos.

I'm from the United States, and currently serving the country and have been for 5 years. Seeing these videos truly inspires me. I love how music like this can just bring joy to everyone no matter where they're from and making everyone happy and enjoy the music. You're honestly an inspiration and make me want to learn how to play the Piano. My Mother was a pianist but she passed away when I was only 22, makes me feel like I shoulder learn how to play in honor and memory for her. Thanks for all of your videos. I watch them almost every day.

Anthony is a genius on the harmonika indeed. 12-yr old Nathan has such mature blues touch. Truly unique. And then there's Oliver hitting every note and Rodrigo with his melodies, the tribute to ole Jo... Finishing off with the young generation in the lead, great.

We were there. Really enjoyed the meet up and seeing Brendan perform live. To be honest we almost left as we thought it was a hoax, but it was just Brendan being fashionably late..lol Some strange characters there....lol...not sure if they were drunk, on drugs or just rather eccentric...lol
